How to determine if a gears are aligned and if shims are needed!

Okay, so there was a problem, but I never saw the solution to leveling the gears and getting full contact across the teeth...

No. I am just giving examples of "when" you want to into things deeper when your wrenching and not familiar with that model. The service manual does not provide height measurements.
