This is a fantastic carrier, ive been using it almost every weekend for a few months. Only complaint is the ramp, any bit of moisture and the rear tire slips. I drilled holes and bolted aluminum rectangle blocks every 5". No issues now
As many of you guys are watching this video before you buy, here is my personal review of what happened to me, I purchased straight from store, putting it together was very easy, but once it was on my hitch, i loaded bike and boom the middle was bending up from each sides of the wheels weight. The bike is a kx250 less about 250 pounds max. This is rated for like 500 pounds yet half of that and it still bent. I removed the bike and checked all bolts and re-tightened but still bent again. It did trailer my bike like that to the track 60 miles back and forth but it was a bit scary as the carrier is no supposed to bend like that. Im thinking of returning it or maybe trying to weld some more structural support.
Did you actually drive that CRV around with the bike on it? I have a CR V and haven't gotten a straight answer from forums if it can handle this task in motion. Would love to rely on this solution for bike transport instead of having to invest in a bulky trailer
The idiots at Sacramento told me this would haul my Supermoto which it wont cause my tires are 2 wide. I called and asked if they had one that would work for my bike then when I got to the store, I asked the parts guy and he directed me to this crap.. Such a awesome store but employees are clueless.. This has me in a really bad place because it's over a hour to return this and I only have my RV which will cost another $50 in gas plus 3 more hours of time that I dont have. This lesson here is never trust the employee and double check to be sure there not incorrect
Maker chooses wrong size hitch pin, then includes a spacer to fit a full sized hitch, and calls it "added value" lol how about just including the right sized pin without needing a second part.
*I drove 20 hours across state with a **Latest.Bike** on this rack never budged. Highly impressed. Easy install one two go!*

Hey man. It sounds like you didn’t put bracing brackets in the middle (supplied)
@@3pilot yes that is with supplied bracing brackets. They were very thin and not strong.
@@Turbski1 I’m actually using it right now for my Honda Grom. Working perfectly.

Where do you live
What did you end up getting for your sumo? I need one for mine as well
Your fault
I added a locking wheel chock on my step sons carrier and it make loading a breeze, it braces the bike while he ties it down.
Where did you find the wheel chock?
amazon as I recall@@lospadres4548
There are no "licensed" mechanics, only certified mechanics.
