That thing is dam near the size of the magazines! Thanks for the cool videos, I was really interested in that PTT until I saw this.. Thanks Walsh TLDCO 👍💯 You not only give the coolest reviews, but you also point me in the right direction.
Sweet rundown on the gear. Always nice to learn about other options that are available.
Short and Sweet! Love it
Such great content 👏
Thanks for the info on the dual comm system, how do the invisio headsets perform?
Any impedance issues with the baofeng while using the PTT?
What’s the receiver hardware of that SDR unit?
Hi Walsh: Thanks for the video! Good info on more complex comms.
Have you been able to use this with the VX6R threaded connector? I have an issue where everything will work with a Baofeng, but on a Yaesu it refuses to key up. Works just fine on the Disco32 PTT or without any PTTs attached...any ideas?
Love using my V60 or just the v10 for single coms, together with either Comtacs, Mh3 or the X5
How does the x5 work. I’m interested in buying it but I’m skeptical about the bone conduction and not having a boom mic
@braedenfarrel7976 best healing protection you can get out there period. If you have very small years or ear canal it can be a paint to fit correctly. But if it dies voice is better than with boom mic due to ai in the ptt
How does the invisio system work with a 152 radio. Does the bone conduction actually work?
Can this ptt be setup to both work with the headset but also send packet data through the radio utilizing ATAK or similar? TIA
How well does the setup work for Baofengs? I keep hearing conflicting information that you need an amplified downlead (Disco32 makes one) to get the Invisio X50 to audible output levels for baofengs. Otherwise people on the receiving end can't hear you as you come in too quietly, even on max volume.
I just purchased this setup using your code and am interested to hear your feedback on this setup, baofeng and all, since I'm trying to use the same setup. Thank you!
I'll go play with it again but it is correct that amplified PTTs are ideal for baofengs. I don't remember having an issue but I didn't do go as indepth into the testing and PTT function that I had done in the past.

@@ThinLineDefenseCo Thank you, I purchased the entire setup anyways as an alternative to my Comtac setup and will report back my findings. Really hoping for a cheaper alternative that works.
Editing this thread: The setup works pretty well. I had to return a faulty cable to Comm Gear Supply to get it working, but ultimately happy with this setup. Cheers.
I need help with my comms... there are just way to many connectors and cables that... its beyond me. I have some OPS-CORE AMPs (connectorized) but nothing more. If I wanted to use an OPS-CORE dual PTT, could i set that up to work with cell phone calls and a radio?
You can....I have a similar setup but it's far more complicated than you think. You actually need a product called the discus from disco32. It connects into your phone via bluetooth and then connects inline to your PTT. Pricey too. But it's what you're looking for.

Would love a earmor m32 review 🙏
(Video title comtacs for the poors)
Do you have a new code for Comm Gear? The one share isn’t working anymore.
They requested to remove our code because it was unfair to other people with codes..... I think I updated links to products that you can use codes on instead
which one are you looking for?
So... as someone who has no one to talk to on coms. Dose not have coms... what good ear pro to run on a helmet.
Opscore amps, comtacs, sordins, earmor m32 in that order
Bought the cable to use with an android phone. Audio is fine if I use it in conjunction with the strange 3.5 mm female to male adapter, otherwise the phone would not recognize the PTT at all. Microphone does not work at all. Strangely enough if I plug the 3.5mm male end of the cable to a bluetooth dongle it would cancel the function of the microphone on the dongle. The dongle functions perfectly with any random 3.5mm headset.
Hmm very interesting. So it's working now though?

@@ThinLineDefenseCo Would you please tell me what phone are you using? Do you use it with the android/apple adapter it comes with? Does all function including calling works? Thanks.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo Nope. Seems like it's a phone compatibility issue. Another Samsung works well with the 3.5mm adapter. Hooked it onto a usb dac with microphone to work around the issue.
I will ask you this, in cod mw2 some characters talk and hear comms with only using ptt and no earpiece or anything, could you explain?
sure. This is easy.
It's call of duty

@@ThinLineDefenseCo 🤣
Bangarang? The Lost Boys have entered the chat……
I’m just hoping I can find a JTAC to talk to. As far as “budget” is concerned, there comes a point where if you go too cheap, you and your buddy end up yelling at each other from 100 meters away, because your comms sound like a McDonalds drive thru speaker.
so two sets of cans and string isn't a good idea?? lol
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I think the max effective range of that particular comms setup is like 10 feet. 😂
someone bringing back the fauxhawk!
I'd like to be excited but I've had the same haircut for my whole military career lol

Thank you for not showing us your shorts.
why can't you see my shorts? haha
Walsh, are you losing weight? Looking lean.
probably less lifting... which is unfortunate lol
-Walsh
I have more than 100 of these I want to sell wholesale if there are any resellers out there interested.
