Good progress and motivation for us watching. What is the exact name of that part of the floor between wheel wells? That's the raised part of the trunk right under the package tray and behind the rear seats, right
ive been saying i want to buy a blast cabinet for about 10yrs now. a generator ran blast setup ...i dont know how often i would actually use that...once a year?....i dont know what htey cost...i just know it makes a huge mess every time.
@lonestarlows whatever variation he does is gonna be nice and classy. Have yall seen Chinaman from majestics concrete rose 64? Is that a variation of the coral?
@@lonestarlows just looked it up, and it’s like a rose gold. You guys keep up the good work. I’m accumulating parts and am going to get my hands dirty on my ride. 68 Skylark. Your videos motivate me
When people complain about a ht impala being 80 or over 100k they need to see this video. 100k doesn't hardly scratch the surface if you consider all the hours it would cost for this to be done at a shop the right way. Then add materials, hydraulics, paint, drive train, accessories, moldings, and the list goes on. A ht could be more expensive to restore than a convertible with all the metal work on roof ,drip rails then if it has patterns. What do you think about the differences between building the two?
i think its very hard to sell a car that is patterned out with graphics and custom interior for top dollar. i think the cars that bring top dollar are cars that are not over done, that still leave room for the new owner to add some things to it. i think if comparing the amount of work for a HT vs a CV. i think the actual paint process is easier on a CV since there is no roof. but a convertible rack, and top install would cost more than repairing drip rails (if you dont have a convertible top frame) i think convertibles cost more on the front end but bring more money on the back end, and sell much easier than a hardtop. *most* hardtop projects do not have the roof rails shot like bobbys was. it was covered up with the trim. if we had known the roof rails were shot, i dont think he would have bought the car....
