UK is rich and they have pretty good income sources.. and morover peoples income taxes .. In India, many rich business people never pay income tax . They only pay taxes when they buy fuel. So.. let the price high here .. Its a usual number rich vehicle owners cry petrol prices high in India projecting poor people.. but real issue is they dont want to pay tax to Government and shamelessly compare with US and UK where taxing system is working perfect.

Good to see you back in UK.. If you like to see a Concorde closely and walk around inside; there is an old British airways Concore, AKS "Delta Golf "with reg no G-BBDG preserved at Brooklands museum in Weybridge, Surrey which is not so far from Hounslow. Although, they were pretty fast there was not much luxury.. Seats were 2 and 2 and one had to lean upon standing due to its minimal height. Being a main user, British Airways used to fly between London to New York which would take less that 3 hours when the other commercial flights takes 7-8hours.(record time was 2hours 52 minutes 59 seconds on 7/2/1996).. Concord`s legacy started to decline following the crash of Air France Concord and other issues such as huge air fares(London to New York was Rs 5,50,000 in 1990s equivalent to aprx Rs 900000 in todays money. In 2009 I paid 165 British Pounds(Rs 16000) from London To New York) and lack of ownership by other major fleets around the world. It may be noted that airlines like Qantas and Air India have declined any plans to add Concords to their fleet. Later years BA used to charter Concords to certain destinations such as Egypt and all and eventually Concorde had seen its last flight from NYC to LHR on 26/11/2003.
I visited and walk around inside Delta Golf in 2007-08.
Fuel price is affecting each nd every countries on earth.. Here in South Australia, the present price is in fact double from exactly one year before.. Today`s average diesel price in Adelaide, South Australia is AU$1.90 that is Rs 105/litre.
