When I started playing I tried hard lock but I just didn’t like how it was difficult to break away from a given target with out quick turning. I used to play another age and the fcs style was a little box you had to get near your enemy to lock on. Always used to use the large unguided missile so maybe that is why I prefer manual aim 🤷🏽

Yes, this normally leads to an instant kill, BUT, you only have ONE move. It’s like playing ganondorf but only using warlock punch. I personally think that you need to diversify your options within melee.
I like only one playstyle. I put myself into that position willingly, because I find the challenge fun, knowing no one else in the game can replicate what I do. Giving yourself more options dilutes the effort required to win, and I find it boring. Tournaments are for people who somehow think this game has any semblance of balance. I have to willingly lock myself into a cage with a bad build to make it fun, that's how little I consider this game. Any modern day shooter makes this game look like baby's first video game. Are there not very many heavy tanks in your meta? When I climbed to S, all my matches were either dual LCB + dual HML-4, missile kite lammergeier, heavy shield zimmerman like 432, or dual aurora, dual nebula tank.

You can see that the Firearm Specialization of my arm is only 87, and M&L-Range Assist is the lowest value, but what about the actual performance? For example, starting from a distance of 300M at 8:19, my FCS aim is stuck to the opponent. And because the distance is far enough, even if there is a large acceleration, there will not be much difference. The FCS aim is still stuck to the enemy. Therefore, if you keep shooting at 200~300m, your performance will not be bad due to FCS. For example, in the rifle fight from 10:04 to 10:11, the distance is from 110 to 210M. My FCS is always on the opponent. Then a few seconds later, when it reaches 140M, which is close to the close range but not within the range of effect, the FCS will begin to fail due to the change in speed. However, within 130M, it will start to be fixed on the opponent again, and then the distance will be extended to 280M. My FCS is also Never left.

@@umiyuri04 Ah, I also see that you're using soft lock and likely keyboard + mouse. The controller use for PS and Xbox are more difficult to maintain evasion and keep the opponent fixed at the same time due to limitations with finger placement. If it weren't for the hard lock penalty, I would use something like TALBOT or OCCELUS as well. With hard lock, any QB from the enemy breaks the lock. Try fighting ColdCall in the arena with hard lock and OCCELUS at mid range and watch as you fail to maintain lock or get any hits. That should explain why console players use P05 with mid range builds and OCCELUS with close range builds.
Actually, I'm a bit lazy about this. Editing mosaics in videos is actually very time-consuming and boring. But one day I clicked on an AC6 pvp video and found that he blacked out all the enemy information. I thought maybe this was an act of respecting the opponent, so I followed suit.
