  • Season 2 is here, and I'm aiming to go from B-rank to A-rank in the Promotional Phase. It took me eight tries in total-six wins and two losses. In this video, I'll share the wins.
Right now, I'm practicing on improving how I move my AC with the Dual Harris, missiles, and a kite strategy. 🚀 Sometimes, I still need to get close, but I'm getting better at playing from a distance.
My goal is to practice more and get better at moving so I can use these skills with all my AC setups, including the new ones! 😊
Note: I noticed i messed up some of my covers to your ranks to whom it may concern... XD i'll do better on the next videos or maybe i just don't cover it next time :/ either way,,, XD

My 2 cents on the matter, mate. I pilot a semi kite build, the difference is that mine is reversed jointed with the Kasuar legs. What I do is to outmaneuver the adversary up close by moving my dodges up in the air but to the front instead of going back. Lightweights can dodge bullets with jumping, and if you go over their heads they will follow you but you have the control of where the battle will go next, to the right, left, up, down, and whatever you do, they'll most likely follow making them fall in a charged shot or even a combo if you time it well. So, there's another strategy you can try to close the gap. It's dangerous but funwhen you get the grip of it!

Sounds like a fun playstyle, I would definitely want to try that when i start to build a reverse joint

Same here. when the opponent gets close, going up or QB past them and crossing them up is a risky but effective way to throw them off. The reason I prefer up is because if you create a very steep angle very quickly, shots do not track properly. It also hoses melee and grenades ground bursting you.
There is a critical angle below your AC past which you won't even be able to hit a stationary opponent.

That was some really gratifying gameplay.

Here's a pro tip with your kite setup:
when you're using the JVLN BETA, make sure that you put it on the correct shoulder. If you primarily circle strafe clockwise or to your left (as you are in the video), it should be on your right shoulder. If you strafe counter clockwise or to your right, put it on your left shoulder.
The reason for this is due to the opponents movement mirroring yours, and launching it from the wrong shoulder means that the missile will have a longer path i.e. less fuel to reach the opponent, as well as positioning the opponent farther behind it once its ready to turn around and track them...in which case it won't do so reliably.

This method can also used in reverse to help you dodge JVLN! I learned that from fighting Romumonsen over and over trying to figure out the consistent way to neutralize those things other than backpedaling like a madman.
Being as how I play a midrange dual rifle light (which the heavy ZIMM simps like to call rats or kites since they can't just steamroll them with their braindead tactics), the JVLN is a problem because you're at the range where that thing tries to hit you like a normal missile and not just get close enough for AoE detonation.
I used to play JVLN back before anyone realized how good it was. I stopped due to how it is hard to use it to punish ACS overload, and it falls apart at close and long ranges. I've found that a combo of lighter missiles works better at controlling mid and long range, while you should use your movements and the RANSETSU to outfox them up close. It is very hard against the high DPS burst weapons, but it is fulfilling when it works.

Your weapon timing is really clutch. Mix in some charged hits from time to time. These can force a dodge thus almost guaranteeing a missile connect, especially with Jav Beta. With your timing this should be cake.

BST-G2/P062SPD - San Tai Generator - FCS-WLT - For the Arms i chose the one with good recoil control over Firearms Specification because i get trigger happy sometimes or just me overthinking i need it XD go with what ever suits you i guess XD. Armor and legs can be interchangeable with others too if you need more AP just becareful with the load limit for AC and booster

It's this kind of gameplay that makes ranked so cringe. Rarely do you get into a good dog fight instead you either have dual Zimmerman's assault boosting you or people like this guy kiting all day and you have to chase them around the whole map.

@@One_Beeyond when you run across so many players, and they all pretty much have the exact same build, save for a few different color variations, it gets tiring, dual Zimmerman users assault boost you that’s the only close range option you have besides that you have itsugen kites.
