"Without spending an arm and leg." Proceeds to advertise a 13ft hull for 30 grand. Lmaooooo My 1985 ranger 350v with the original Johnson 150 GT hits 55-60 and i got it and the trailer for 3k.
I got to ride in a early 2000s Yamaha exciter for work. That thing was fast as hell We did like 65 miles an hour could have gone faster but we ran out of lake
My nova ss Spyder had a bravo 2 out drive Chevy 350 ran 60 in 2 -3 foot seas ,loved that boat 20ft with cabin full canvas cover could run wide open 5 adults out of weather .
You can get a Yamaha 270 that has twin 1200 cc motors in it they can do 65 to 70 mph depending on water conditions and you should be able to get one of those under $10,000 all day. Long in great condition. I had one in 2000 and I was going to 60 mph on the knee board. While my step dad was driving it.
Found an old 21' Boston whaler. Inboard motor . I want to LS swap it. I wanna pull up in it with straight pipes. Also want a 13' whaler with an inboard vtwin both would be awesome
built a modest 385 sbc 425hp for a 22' crownline bow rider bravo 3, for a barefoot skier it only does 60mph. But it gets there pretty quick with 28p the 24p is a jetski rocket out of the hole. The bravo 3 takes a lot of power to push it past 60mph
425hp and it runs 60mph, My Four Winns H220SS with a Volvo Penta 350 with a twin prop does 60MPH with 300HP. I would think that horsepower would get you into the 80's.
@@jafo4u508 its a heavy deep hull crownline with bravo 3, they hit the wall @60mph unless its got a blower. The old motor was 300hp mpi mag 5.7L far as i know it topped at 55-60, but with the 425hp 385 its much quicker to 60. I actually talked to him tonight he wants to put a supercharger on the 385. I know a guy basically same boat and bravo 3 he has a 780hp blower 454 and he claimed it only did 74mph. Those bavo 3 are not efficient on top end. Im not sure on your volvo on top end but i think they are little bit better in every aspect
@Johny Cash First boat so honestly I have no clue if the dual prop Volvo Penta is better on top end, it seems so because I am not even close on horsepower, I bet the sound is priceless on those motors you built.
Was on a rental boat, a 18.5 searay with a 4.3merc and it would do 55mph. It also held way more people had amenities and was way more comfortable. Purchase price is way cheeper
He literally started out by saying, "Do you want a speed boat but you dont want to spend an arm and leg on one?" and than says you can buy this boat for $20k-$30k....🤨🤨 He must be in a higher tax bracket cuz he said $20k-$30k like it's just a $20-$30 scratch off. $20k-$30k is a arm and a leg, hands and feet included
Lol We make these ourselves in a shed here in Seychelles...and amounts up to 15k including the engine...and yes its well made we're quite proficient in it.
Lol I have a 2000 Yamaha LS2000 with 2 modified jet ski engines in it. I bought in 2021 for $6,500 including trailer. On our reservoir, wife and I hit 62 mph. Get about 55 with 7 people.
I got a kayak with oar I can paddle the shiznit out of. Make this look like a paper boat made from a McDonald’s receipt. Hear the banjos. Paddle even faster.
When I was a kid I had a GW invader that I put a 40 HP Johnson on. It might not be as fast as this boat but my total investment was $500 back in '85 I can promise you it was just as fun."When you don't want to spend an arm and a leg" $20-$30K are you for real?
You can get an 17’ bass boat for half that price that will do that speed
Still ridiculous prices....just like everything else
So a brand new 17’ bass boat that goes 50+mph for $15k? Where is this unicorn???
@@Maxiumus_Mausimus In 1986.😂
Still waiting for links Mikey boy
I'd rather have a fiberglass boat then a aluminum riveted together pos. Looks better too.
"If you want a speeboat but don't want to spend an arm and a leg" you BUY A USED BOAT that someone else spent an arm and a leg on!!!!!
Preach
My 1985 17 foot checkmate with a 115 tower 56mph all day bought it for $2500,
checkmates are badass no matter how old.
Hoping I can get 60+ out of my 76 trimate II with a 150 tower with proper set up.
Had 1979 16 ft with 150hp was clocked 72 mph
@@CS-ir9mo what prop were you running?

Great comparison, that price is 40 years old. Now rangers are 50- 120 grand. You can't even buy a new 150 for 8,000 now.
OK, so he didn’t work up “an arm and a leg.”, but he probably did lose a big toe in the process.
loved my glastron GT-150 with the 150 johnson. it was a really fast boat on glass
That things a death machine and i approve
Says the ride is super smooth as the boat bounces across the screen 😂
No it looks good
I love the 60R motor it’s just so cool.
Good headwind that thing taking off ✈️
I had a 13.5 ft Shakespeare with an I-6 115hp Mercury when much younger.
60 mph? Play-doh!
20 to 30k lol that's a big ass price difference
Hey brother thanks for the info on the boat I wonder what is Max power a 100 horse 2 stroke would be cool OKA150 would even be better lol
Remind me of a little mini jet boat my uncle used to have when I was a kid
When there’s a will there’s a way I’m going to sell my kidney
This is so cool!!
Looks all squirrelly and fun but, I just bought supercharged jet ski

Excuse me how much for an empty hull with no tech, cheap seats, and an decent engine?! That Company out of their minds
fr their profit margins must be real nice
Cool boat.... I'd totally buy a Donzi sweet 16 instead, and pocket the change.
Great for on the river...nice ski boat...easy to toll . 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He was right on the edge of it blowing over. 😳
Liberator used to make a 14’ back in the 80’s.

Dang. I paid $450 for my Cobia 2150 Spirit ( 21 ft cabin cruiser), and it does 62 mph
Insane. The last 6 inches of that Hull is barely in the water. Wow O.O
You can get the Chris craft stinger 390x from Miami vice for around the same price and you have 2 big blocks
STV 2.5 Racing Merc for me
believe me for 20 grand I can make a boat that even faster the company that makes it is me
I bought a used key west 1720 sportsman and threw a 150 johnson 2 stroke , 52 mph , 3500 dollars , but I had to repair it ..
Find a Donzi Sweet 16.. amazing and affordable
I had a 1986 sweet 16 Donzi. No windshield. A basic boat for Donzi. With a 350 mine ran 60mph, no problem
Till you hit a wake going that fast and your whole boat flip
very cool
What’s the skiff cat next to it?
New boat prices are so ridiculous compared to their rate of depreciation. Maybe it’s a tax thing 🤔
Can you put a mercry 450 r on it .
Reasonable price and looks cool !
I'd pay 7k for it max as I've done 70mph in a 8k boat
Putting a 150hp on it adds 90lbs and make it a 3 seater with center steering.
One person is breaking 80 in that boat!
It's a really hull.
"Rides really well in a small chop", as the driver is bouncing up and down like a jack in the box
instead of spending an arm and a leg you can just spend an arm!

Looks like an old pride with a tunnel
Sweet!
Trust me you can do 60 for less then 5k
When you want to move up from a PWC this could be the answer.

The Honda civic of boats
My 20 foot gambler with a 200hp Vmax in it I bought for 4k will run 83
My hunter 27 ft sailboat was $250 and the price of paint and manual labor and it goes 7 knots. We good
