Awesome video, you just got a new subscriber. Reminds me a bit of this tiny chinese grave site near my parents place near ish to Ballarat. They're from around the mid 1800s gold rush era so my assumption is they were miners, men who died pretty young. It's mad creepy and when my mum made me visit it as a kid I recall it just being in between a bunch of trees off the side of the road like it wasn't preserved at all. The headstones were decayed to the point where there was no visible text. I need to find out where exactly where that is and see if it's been preserved at all or just totally gone now.

Thanks. I just looked up that cemetery you mentioned at the Ballarat Old Cemetery with many Chinese headstones. Very interesting also. 👍👍

Bravo for lightening the mood at the end.
That is a sorrowful place. Many years ago, a friend was sent there to Wolston Park...No idea what happened to him. He was just a kid, too.

I used to work next to Wolston park and sometimes in the place as well...I know all about government coverups, and files that went missing or were purged...I have a video on my channel where I flew over the entire complex

@@jelbuilderfilms Very much so...I could share stories from ex staff that worked there passed onto me. It's important to note though, that not ALL staff there were bad people! It had it's fair share of course, and SOME of that came out in the Fitzgerald enquiry many years ago.

    That place is all sadness.
The suicides in the river, on the railway and on the road were frequent when I lived up in Ippy. in the 80s. That's a really old Cemetery, Mid 1800s I think, very early for sure. T-rocks

I’m sure they were viewed as forfeit and up for experimentation too, all kinds of atrocious acts no doubt. Saturating the land with grief and anguish.

I have looked around Wolstan Park, years ago, it was barricaded then ,also. There is a lot of history of the Asylum Hospital. Prisoners would travel down by boat. I believe that the ' 'mentally insane ', were not allowed to walk on 'Crown Land'. I am not sure if it is true , though Jel.

It's not really a mystery... many of the original graves were washed away in the 1893 flood. That main cemetery was at the confluence of the Brisbane River and Wolston Creek, and the ground simply gave way and the bones were washed down river. Also, many inmates were buried in various locations around that locality and often there were simply no records kept. As such, it's not really a cover up or a conspiracy, it's just bad record keeping and a disregard for human life.

True mate, but I've seen personally, files that went missing, as in document destruction...So glad I left that industry almost 20 years ago!
