Ripping sprites from Super Chase H.Q. would be tricky. Possibly the roads is the hardest part. They should remake this game but with more stages, gimmick, secrets, bonuses and easter eggs, eitheir for various new consoles generations or SNES emulators. Who's watching in 2023?
this was one of the few games my family had around that was accessible to me (i think the rest were put away somewhere) and i was always so scared of it lol. i never got past the 2nd round bc i was a big ol baby as a kid but i always remembered “this is nancy!” such nostalgia~
I always thought the ambulance driver looked stoned af. Had to quickly put on a pair of shades to hide the bloodshot eyes. "Whoa! Hey man! Dropped my taco and my weed. Bent down to pick it up and crashed the ambulance. I fucked up. Haha! I dunno, we got some blood or some shit. Gotta deliver it to the hospital straight ahead. I appreciate the-- OH SHIT I FOUND MY TACO! HELL YEAH!"
Taito was usually awesome like that :) Ninja Warriors, Operation Thunderbolt, and On the Ball were other arcade games they made that had great SNES adaptations made.
You can tell this game was made from scratch instead of attempting to port the arcade original. The only thing they kept from the original was concept art and that's it. They knew better than delivering a barely functional port of a game meant to run on better hardware.
Okay cool I still have it for snes I like still play it my super nes still works I don't have Sega or cd I did like Sega back in the day both systems are still good and sega cd in 2020
Wait, what? There is no denying the SNES was superior in graphics and sounds. Specifically, the SNES can scale and rotate sprites. Something that was only scene in the arcades. This game doesn't even have this. It looks horrifically, especially, realizing that Taito didn't even use scaling, which is specific to racing type games.
@@ErwinSchrodinger64 I still have super chase hq for snes and and super nes still works I also have n64 they still work okay however I never did get genesis but liked it too
ErwinSchrodinger64 Uh no. This game DOES have this and it doesn’t look horrifying. And Tatio DID use scaling. It’s not specific to racing type games. Snes is way
This game is same as "Super Chase: Criminal Termination", because got the same voices and some same soundtracks of the true game. Fun fact: The "Game Over" theme used the "Stage Clear" Theme.
Another nostalgic trip for me with this game, although the one I played back then was the JP version; it's got Hard Mode once you complete the game once(the car screen turns green instead of blue). Had lots of fun otherwise; will definitely play again if I have a mean of playing old games somewhat, like a emulator or something.
That one is actually an adaptation of Super Chase Criminal Termination. Same Nancy, same bosses, same stages, same p. much everything, but pretty well adapted around the SNES's technical constraints.
I remember this arcade. Except it had a Turbo booster feature. I'm suprised snes never made metal slug, toki,or the x-men and simpsons arcades. The rear view mirror on this is also distracting. The arcade didn't do that.
Chase HQ was an arcade game released in 1988. Lucky and wild was 1992. And this is a port to the SNES of the 1988 arcade game. With slight changes. Released on the SNES in 1992. And chase HQ is a sequal to taitos full throttle released in 1987.
It does look like many elements were ported from Super Chase: Criminal Termination. However, the one element which is new is the damage meter for the player's car (which is likely inspired by the damage meter for the player's car in Lucky and Wild by Namco)
For coin op conversions, no way, I think Sega Megadrive, was lightyears forward than SNES, but, if there was one title which was making me envying SNES, was this, and probably, the best coin op racing game ever released on a Nintendo machine... this game has something magic in it, for the rest, Sega Megadrive forever
i challenge you to play the sfc version japanese version... you must beat the hard mode to see the ending.. but before you unlock the hard mode, you must beat the once with! No Continues.. how's that!? Goodluck to anyone who tries 👍 ☺
People actually like this game? When I first played , all I could think is how jerky movement is while game area is just 1/3 of the screen. It felt like a bastardization of the original Chase HQ.

On most Chase H.Q. games, the final criminal is ALWAYS driving the same car as you, yet Nancy sometimes classifies it as "Unknown"
in this one he's driving a porche tho
@presleyluis4666 The final criminal is always driving a Porsche 928 just like the player’s, except for SCI, Chase HQ II(1993) and Chase HQ 2(2007)

This game is super polished! This is amazing for SNES!
Taito was usually awesome like that :) Ninja Warriors, Operation Thunderbolt, and On the Ball were other arcade games they made that had great SNES adaptations made.
@@NintendoComplete "Operation Thunderbolt" is a very weak port, one of the most badly made games by Taito for the SNES...

i didnt even know of this is a kid. thats insane what they got the snes doing with no addon chips. i only played the arcade one.
Oh....I found that was an unforgettable game.
Now THIS is an arcade racer. It sits up there with the likes of F-Zero and Top Gear in terms of sheer fun and playability
Thank you I still have it and my super nes still going in 2017!
No. It's total shit.
Play this as a kid it trash. I hate that driver seat view. 1988 version is way better
Top gear better then this anyway way better
Yes. it's total shit
