Thank for this video. Love this piece. So atmospheric. Love the final scene when the boy says ‘there’s a storm coming in’ and Sarah Conner says ‘I know’ and drives off to this music against the backdrop of storm clouds and mountains. Chills
Sometimes the algorithm actually does some good. This was a really really good break down. Great job. I too am finding myself a bigger and bigger fan or T1 over T2 for every day that passes. And you're right, there is something really great about Brad Fiedel's score in this movie. This theme while it has underlying horror elements, the movie being or at least heavily leaning towards being a sci-fi horror movie à la Alien (1979), has a really romantic theme as you point out. And yes, it even works during the love making scene. I never really thought about the chord structure as me trying to play by ear almost always fails, so finding out that it is in Ebm and essentially has an Aeolian cadence as its resolution is great to learn. Simple but effective as they say. So again, thanks for this. Great job!
Love Brad Fiedel, massively underrated composer. The theme for T1 that he played entirely by himself always seemed to have more emotion and atmosphere than the full orchestra T2 version.
Funny you should mention fanfares in that. Whenever I try to 'play' this in my head, I end up segueing into Fanfare for the Common Man. Similar arpeggios...
Heart beat of musician´s dog is in 5/4... Of course it is. If you want to watch someone watching Terminator for the first time, try Cassie from Popcorn in Bed: th-cam.com/video/IXQdDwpwj2w/w-d-xo.html A real fun. :)
New to your channel. Have really enjoyed your reactions. I wonder if you would be willing to review Satyricon’s The Wolfpack? th-cam.com/video/VRDh-ogdDOU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mEuPxDHiLFaFNP48 I wouldn’t call it one of their more intricate pieces, but has a wonderful hook to it. I’d just enjoy watching your face. You have wonderful expressions as you are enjoying the songs you hear. Thanks Nancy

Thanks for a breakdown of this classic theme. I really would love to hear your "Variations on a Fanfare of Despair" 😊

Gives me chills every time I listen to it.
- Doctor: I'm sorry sir, but you suffer from arrhythmia.
- Patient: Actually, doc... I just love prog. I'm fine. See ya!

Really is superb soundtrack - I think both films are marvels of their time.
