EXTRACTING HONEY W/OUT AN EXTRACTOR Crush & Strain Method | Cheap & Easy Way to Harvest Honey

The crush and strain method is the best way to harvest honey when you have a couple of hives or are in your first year of beekeeping. The set up and clean up is fairly minimal, the equipment you'll need is pretty cheap, and you might even be able to get most or all of it from local stores. Plus! You don't have to shell out $100+ on a big extractor.
For those of you with top bar beehives, this is going to be the primary way you harvest honey.

How many frames would you estimate can fit in that strainer? If you have to wait over night for it to drain, sounds like you would need to work in a few batches for a few days straight?

Is it the stuff (the solid - not liquid) that you crushed that you put in the jars and then pour honey over them? Is that the 'honeycomb'?

Yes. It's chunks of honeycomb.
