    I have never heard of an extraction date in any thing I have watched or read I'm south jersey so I guess the August 15 date would apply to me? Fist time keeper but I know not to extract what the bees need for the winter. But I never heard of extraction day. Thank you for the information. Next yr I will be ready.

      You want to extract when the bees activity slows down. For South Jersey, you're at the same schedule at the Philly beekeepers which is usually late August but you should check out the philly bee club as well and ask those beekeepers. This changes year to year depending on the weather. The best way to know is to keep track of how much honey the hive has at each inspection. You'll see how over the weeks and months the amount of honey in the hive increases. Then, you'll see it come to a halt. That's when you extract.

    Info on how to buy one of your T-shirts?

      @BeekeepingMadeSimple  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for asking! I will be putting my t-shirts back up for sale soon. I took them down because it was costing me money running the shopify store, but have found a better way to sell the shirts. Garden flags and stickers to come soon as well. Either this week or next.

    I really enjoy your videos - thanks! Could you pls advise how many cups of honey did the two frames you showed on the video yield?

    • @BeekeepingMadeSimple
      @BeekeepingMadeSimple  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A frame of honey usually yields about 2-3 lb of liquid honey.
