Missed something there: The 4 dead trees we saw in the background when Talulah left in the middle of snow was a reminder for the 4 past Reunion leaders that died under 'her': Skullshatterer, Mephisto, Patriot and Frostnova.
When the chapter first released in global, I realized that Bagpipe's squad are named after music instrument, thus the codename bagpipe,horn,triangle,oboe etc Pretty interesting tidbit!
So as far as i know, rhodes island has lost 3 elite operator - Ace - Scout - Outcast Let us pay our respect to these heroes (if there are more that i forgot feel free to add)
During conclusion of chapter 8 Kal'tsit is mentioning all fallen Operators during whole Chernobog incident, 40 souls in total if memory serves me right
This chapter was a breath of fresh air after chapter 8's nonstop ancient language kaltsit speak and talulah answering questions with questions lol. The fact that everyone in this chapter just talks normally made it so much easier to follow. Also Saileach's theme is quite sad after what happens in the chapter. Such a grand and hopeful song for a Saileach that hadn't yet witnessed the killings of innocent people and county hillock becoming a warzone. That part of Victoria becomes the complete opposite of how her song describes it
my fav part of this ch are too many, the artillery bombing? god that's so horrifying but so real, the ballroom bombing by a kid with a baseball boom? top 10 fcked up moment, Triangle asking "Who's our enemy really is?" to Rita is straight up civil war/insurgency moment Jane try to picking up Saoirse ashes but fails a lot? 👌👌, Jane finally realized that "No matter how well you behaved infront of them, they'll never saw you the same as them" hits too fcking hard. the majestic and sorrowful ending of Outcast witnessed by Bagpipe and Jane? with that top tier cg??? masterpiece moment. and ofc Bagpipe being to only one left from her squad whil she look at the burning city from the outside
I don't know if this is intentional or not. But COL Hamilton has parallels to Alexander Hamilton. Both were Artillery commanders, both had to deal with seige warfare and both were accused of an improper bombardment that resulted in friendly casualties.
A lot of it seemed to be based on the history of conflicts between UK and IRA during early 20th century. It will be super interesting to see how the story arc progress

I hate how good this chapter is in making me connect to some of its characters(even the minor characters) just for them to get blasted in some way or another. Triangle for example, that character wasn't even shown during the chapter and is mostly present just to report to Horn their situations, when that final call happened it really hurts. That guy with Bagpipe and Horn which is some kind of an agent and helps them connect to Victorian HQ, dude got an untimely demise. I'm so invested in this story chapter that I didn't notice I was playing the game for almost the whole day. 10/10 for this chapter. I have high hopes for the future chapters.
It was great seeing Mon3tr bust in the _moment_ Amiya went down. We're also reminded it has ranged capabilities with how it tried to shoot down Reunion's escape vehicle.
One of the reasons I play arknights is the history of the game world, the more it hurts when I get stuck reading episode 8 because of the amount of text to read and how long it took me so I don't read episode 9 because I don't know what exactly happened and I have even less time to read. A great film that will at least outline the story of the game universe for me.
Talulah seems to not be playable for a while. Sadge. But I would like to see Black Knight in the 3rd anniversary banner. Also, looks like there was not any straight information that Horn is dead, even though she is less likely to survive.
She might even be dead in the future before we get her as a playable character considering she fucked up a lot of people. Wouldnt be surprised if Karma done fucked her up too.

It's hinted at that it's possible, and it wouldn't surprise me if HG actually brought her back to become an operator at some point but as of right now, with the information we have to work with? According to the Reunion squad that infiltrated R.I, their plan would have failed if there's at least 3 Elite operators on R.I landship at that time. Blaze is the only elite operator during the the infiltration but is enough to give them trouble, even though she's one of the newest elite operator. Imagine if Rosmontis, Logos or Ascalon was there, Rosmontis will cleave them in half. Logos single handedly deal with the casters that almost wiped out Mudrock's group and the only known operator that can stop Rosmontis whenever her power becomes out of control.
Spoiler. Kinda. My take is that Kal and Talulah did an accord. Kal let Talulah escape, knowing about Nine planning, so Rhodes now don't have anymore the attention of Lugmen and Ursus, meanwhile Talulah can search the elden ring and start her "redemption arc". Of course we, donkey daughter or even nine were not informed about. Chapter 10/11 will be wild, with all this factions together.
Considering that in Goldenglow event one of Hateful Avengers is actually helping to RI, I think it’s a real possibility for RI and Neo-Reunion to cooperate together (which also means playable Tal so I’m all for it!!!)
Chapter 10 will going to make victoria a battlefield when all af the factions in the story collide and trying to stop one another, hoping to see more operators appear in the next chapter who needs a spotlight

Alter operators are for event only, they're not meant for chapter stages. We'll have to see the future events that might opens the opportunity. My opinion personally, Logos might as well becomes a bard supporter.
i hope one day Saileach will get alter form with the damaging skill resembles Outcast art. ;-; also it's good to see Chen again back with her (very unwieldy) sword working with her best friend to boot. i hope in CH.10 Siege will have an active role in the story consider that her file hinting her to be some royal family or some shit, and her inevitable clash with Reed sister, hell it would be funny if her hammer somehow turn into a sword and shoot some beam out.
Story really is setting up some nasty developments huh? RI is likely going to Victoria Theresis is in there and in high alert, as someone who opposed Babel he knows the doctor, Kal and Amiya are real problems Talulah is on her way too and is obviously going to clash with Reed's sister They keep showing us Siege meaning she'll have a major role in the events to come and likely get a Coup d'etat going Chen is involved and since she's HG's lovechild she's obviously gonna do something impactful... Really hyped for what's coming next in the story
So when Talulah was still in RI custody, did no one interrogate or approach her during that time? Kalt'sit? Doctor? heck, even Amiya? Tho, hopefully we'll be getting them answers in the future.

I wouldn't say it's on the same level as Frostnova since the characters and their causes of death are vastly different but yeah, it sucks that she got killed off.
Demn all of our hardwork for 8 whole chapters to capture talulah ended up going to the drain with just 1 time infiltration. For a company with meticulous members they're downplaying rhodes island so much in this scenario, the writer just wanna make rhodes island as incompetent groups for plot convenience
The mission was to stop Chernobog from colliding with Lungmen and igniting another war which we succeeded at besides Rhodes Island landship is a small city atmost and after the operations 2 years ago plus missions outside of the landship it would be obvious that Rhodes is undermanned in soldiers.
So if they get more members of the squad and run out of musical instrument names could we get things like spoons? maybe mayonaise? is mayonaise an instrument?
1st Outcast kamikaze'd herself together with the leaders via violating a Laterano law. 2nd Reed didn't had any amnesia, she was completely unconscious due her condition and Jannie asking if she “remembers her” was quite inadequate and out of place from her side as that's basically the same as if the med sister of the surgeon who performed a 16 hour long heart surgery on you asking if you managed to remember what she did in the operation room directly after you just woke up from the said surgery couple a days later. Not only they haven't met even once prior to that, but the extremely short time/travel they spend together was in the worst possible condition for forming any sort of relationship or getting familiar with each other. If Reed remembers someone that's probably Outcast since she had the greatest importance and initiative in Reed's rescue operation before she went K.O'd from the Originum infection and loss of blood.

For a company with meticulous members they're downplaying rhodes island so much in this scenario, the writer just wanna make rhodes island as incompetent groups for plot convenience
The mission was to stop Chernobog from colliding with Lungmen and igniting another war which we succeeded at besides Rhodes Island landship is a small city atmost and after the operations 2 years ago plus missions outside of the landship it would be obvious that Rhodes is undermanned in soldiers.
Tbf they saved Talulah from being controlled by the duke, which is the important part. Now she's an actual freedom fighter.

1st Outcast kamikaze'd herself together with the leaders via violating a Laterano law.
2nd Reed didn't had any amnesia, she was completely unconscious due her condition and Jannie asking if she “remembers her” was quite inadequate and out of place from her side as that's basically the same as if the med sister of the surgeon who performed a 16 hour long heart surgery on you asking if you managed to remember what she did in the operation room directly after you just woke up from the said surgery couple a days later. Not only they haven't met even once prior to that, but the extremely short time/travel they spend together was in the worst possible condition for forming any sort of relationship or getting familiar with each other.
If Reed remembers someone that's probably Outcast since she had the greatest importance and initiative in Reed's rescue operation before she went K.O'd from the Originum infection and loss of blood.
