Turns out she modified her water gun when she went back to RI with a close combat range (shotgun range) and trained more with it, which is the alter we have today. The original Ch'en apparently also didn't like the sword, but trained in it to lead Lungmen originally (as per her Uncle's instructions), so technically, she's using a weapon she actually prefers and simultaneously equipped with the years of experience from fighting in close combat. Makes sense she's a lot more powerful now with the pressurized water gun than her sword.
I'm not gonna lie, while Dossoles has it's own set of problems. Candela is such a based person for being able to build such a sustainable city in a chaotic country. She somewhat earns my respect for that.

Besides, if crimes do start to become an issue or a threat to their tourism, Candela can just make the call out of it like what she did on Pancho. Even if it is a facade, the point of the city is to give people peak entertainment at the end of the day.

I've seen a fair amount of people argue over wether Dossoles (and Bolivar) is supposed to be based on Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil etc. But I honestly think this place is a mix of various Latin and south American countries rather than a specific one Tequila (referenced in Ernesto's codename and in stickers) and pozole (stickers) are very characteristic of Mexico Bolivar being related to Venezuela (Simon Bolivar, the coin Bolivar etc.) Conchetumare being a phrase used primarily in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, etc. A similar statue to the Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro Brazil And probably many other references that I missed, So I think it's fair to asume that Dossoles it's a bunch of countries combined into one

Id say both are antagonists, just the different side of the same coin. You got a absolutely apathetic woman that profits off the war, and you got an absolutely insane old man rambling about building a future by sacrificing an entire city, with its people in it for a country that didn't exist in the first place. Both are very aware of what they are doing is killing a bunch of people. Difference is pancho hides his blood ambitions in the name of something 'righteous' (which will just cause the civil war to worsen) and candela revels in the fact that she is a piece of shit.
Tbh, I'm pretty certain that Bolivar is supposed to be Brazil considering the dead giveaway would be the reference to the Jesus statue in the background of one of the scenes.

I really can't get a decisive read on Candela. She's one of the most interesting characters I've seen in AK, and her (seemingly?) blase approach helped maintain the status quo, and in some extent, the peace. Sure, Dossoles has a facade, but Pancho's well-meaning terrorism would've made things worst. Also, Candela seems to have a plan to replace Dossoles with Tressoles if things mess up, which gives off the vibe that she thinks ten steps ahead. Kinda wantto see her go toe-to-toe with Dokutah.
This's just like one part of Bolivar wants neutrality, but others places on Bolivar wanted conflicts and turn into a mess. Still, Dossoles is still a unbalanced and dangerous place in Bolivar. Pancho just want to get attention and want to start another war, just because of Neutrality of Dossoles.

I really can't get a decisive read on Candela. She's one of the most interesting characters I've seen in AK, and her (seemingly?) blase approach helped maintain the status quo, and in some extent, the peace. Sure, Dossoles has a facade, but Pancho's well-meaning terrorism would've made things worst. Also, Candela seems to have a plan to replace Dossoles with Tressoles if things mess up, which gives off the vibe that she thinks ten steps ahead. Kinda wantto see her go toe-to-toe with Dokutah.
Also, Master Splinter and Triple D as the names for characters is awesome.
