Excellence Playa Mujeres - Rooms: What are the differences between suites?

- This video is a breakdown of the different room categories available at Excellence Playa Mujeres. It shows you what the rooms are like in each category, where they are located on the resort property, what the beds are like, the bathrooms, the balconies / terraces, as well as, what you get if you upgrade to a club level room. We also go into what amenities come with each room and what you get for your money.
There are 12 room categories at EPM and we show you the Jr Suites, spa, pool, and ocean views. The Jr Suite swim-out rooms, the Two Story Rooftop Terrace rooms, the Honeymoon Suites and the Imperial Suites so that you can decide which one best suits your needs on vacation.
We show you a resort map and tell you how the resort is laid out and where the different rooms are located. If you want quiet? If you want in the action? If you want a high floor or a ground floor? You have options.
We tell you what the perks are if you choose to upgrade to excellence club level so you can decide if it is worth it or not.
Overall, we hope that by showing you the many different suite options at EPM you can best decide if EPM is right for you, and if it is, which room might be the best fit for your vacation needs.

We just got back from Excellence Playa Mujeres and it was absolute perfection. We even had the lowest level room and it was still perfect.
We have always gone for a swim up suite..it’s so convenient. No packing up items to go to the pool. The upgrades for Excellence club are cool if you like being close to all the action.
Great comment! A swim up is a great option if you don't want to have to worry about finding a chair at the pool. It definitely allows for a more peaceful vacay if sleeping-in is on the agenda. 😊
Thanks for the video. I reserved a ocean front 2 story suite in the excellence club. Do you know what building that room should be in?
Should be in 8a or 9a. Email the resort a week before and request/restate your preference. Have a great time. 😊
There are no stairs to any room type/level, each building has an elevator to all rooms above ground level
We are planning to book a Jr Suite, spa or pool view. Which building is best? We prefer a quiet building (ie not right above where the water aerobics classes are playing music, etc)
I would say building 2 or 3 overlooking the spa. 😊
Booked a 2-story rooftop. What are the best oceanfront room numbers in building 8 and 9?
I like the end units but they are all good. Just personal preferences really. Enjoy your trip!!! ☺️

They connect! Building 6 is right across from the juice bar. 😊

If you are staying at the finest, do you have access to the lazy river? Or is this exclusive to the excellence?
Nope. You can't go back and forth between the resorts.
Are all the pools heated or just the club ones?
Just the club ones and only just before Christmas (usually Dec 21 or later that week). To us, the pools are too cold to use from November until March. Club pools are heated just before Christmas but before then they are cold. We were there this past November and no one was using the pools, club or otherwise.
@@newtravelescapes this makes me hesitant to book. I don’t know why the resort won't heat the pools knowing their customers can't use them. I've read enough reviews now of people complaining about it. We are going in January. In your experience is it possible to request a specific building? My concern is upgrading to a club swim up ocean view but being put in a building that faces a non club pool.
@@natalieroy4849 I went last year around the 16th of December. The pool was chilling but I got use to it quickly. We switched back and forth from pool to hot tub
The lack of bathroom privacy is a deal breaker for me
