We were honored to visit Beloved in April of 2022. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made our trip so amazing. Beloved is a beautiful resort located approximately 40 minutes from Cancun airport. Known for its private and safe location in the gated community of Playa Mujeres. The Beloved beach sits on a beautiful stretch of white powdery sand protected by the island of Isla Mujeres located just off the cost. This protection helps cut down on some of the major seaweed problem that happen farther south of Cancun. Beloved is a great resort for those looking to have a relaxed, quiet and intimate vacation. The service by the staff is what truly sets Beloved apart from other all-inclusive resorts and is the big reason you see so many guests choose this resort as their home away from home!
Prior to our week at Beloved we spent a week next door at Beloved's sister resort, Excellence. What a beautiful contrast between these 2 resort properties. We will help you make a decision on which property you may be best suited for.

So thank you for a very honest and accurate review. My husband and I along with 2 other couples visited about 2 years ago and are now going back in October with 10 more people. Love this property.
It's our absolute favorite. There's a new Secrets Impression resort on Isla Mujeres that we would love to visit as it's supposed to be a small boutique resort like Beloved.
Great video, I love how Alberto was the star of the show. He absolutely makes the vibe at Lupita. Thank you for emphasizing that this is a quite couples only resort and to go party else where. We have switched from EPM and ERC for just this reason. This video makes me excited for our next visit to Beloved. I can totally recommend a swim up there.
Thank you so much. Alberto was great, he truly is a gem for Beloved & brings a great energy at Lupita in the evenings. It’s important to recognize who Beloved is & isn’t for. Like we said, if you want to get hammered at the swim up bar & make lots of noise, stay next door at Excellence instead.

My fiancé and I were looking for all-inclusive resorts to spend our honeymoon this April. It was a little overwhelming, especially since we are going during "spring break season". This video was incredibly helpful in outlining exactly what to expect from Beloved Playa Mujeres. It's right up our alley as far as crowd and ambiance. I am really excited for our trip! Thank you for your comment. Beloved was such a special place and there were so many things we wanted to make sure to cover. We tried to keep things moving along so the video didn't feel as long.
We love your honest review. We stayed at The Beloved for the second time in October. This is hands down my wife's and my favorite all-inclusive. One item I would add is take you own Yeti tumbler and a steel or silicone straw. The hotel has gone away from straws. Plus, the employees appreciate not having to waste cups. Also, the taco truck and the beach grill offer incredible quick bites.

Did you have any difficulty making reservations on property or get bored of the food or get the stomach flu from eating, or drinking on property? How long of a walk is it to your room? How well did the AC work? I like a cold room to sleep in, 67F ideally. Is the water pressure low, any limited hot water issues, how well does the wifi work?
This is our home away from home. We go once per year and I truly appreciate your video because it's allowing me to visit our Beloved family in between our visits. We can't wait to be back there in just 78 days!

I have that exact WRSHP hat!!! I actually had to cancel a trip for this year and move it to 2026. Amazing price for 7 days!!! I would like to move it closer to our anniversary in November, but the booking window only goes through October 2026. I hope I can change the dates at the beginning of 2025 but keep the same price. Yeah. I think honestly the build up from reading so many Excellence reviews created an unattainable expectation that the food was going to be amazing. It wasn’t bad by any means, it just wasn’t outstanding like we were thinking it would be. I think when you factor in the above & beyond level of service and intimacy of Beloved, it just made the dining experience all around better!

We actually changed at the last minute and ended up going to Atelier Playa Mujeres. We do plan on trying Beloved some time next year. We ended joining a few other friends and they were going to Atelier so we joined them.@@shanew7361

I'll second what you said about this being your favorite place on earth. I totally agree and can't wait to return. With a daughter getting married this year, I'm afraid my travel funds will be tied up in wedding costs!
We were at Beloved in January 2022 and had the exact same experience- incredible staff, impeccable service. The spa and beach service were the highlights. and yes- you really missed out not getting the tacos from the taco truck because they were phenomenal. As was the brick oven pizza & calamari at La Isla Trattoria- delicious. Our trip to Beloved was the most relaxed I’ve ever been in my life! 10 out of 10.
I completely agree on all fronts. It was the most relaxing trip I've ever had. We're taking the kids to Dreams Playa Mujeres in September, wish I could sneak down the beach to Beloved!

@@AllInclusiveReviews Just an update from this reply! We stayed at the 2 story Bella Casita suite with plunge pool. We had a blast! Your reviews and scores are pretty spot on. We are going back again in December 2024!
Going in November and welcome any recommendations on experiences, cenotes, scuba, etc. Restaurants, zip line, Mayan ruins, all of it.
One thing I would highly suggest is a trip over to Isla Mujeres! Beautiful water for snorkeling & great culture!
This is wonderful- thank you. What kind of room toiletries did they provide? Hoping to travel with a carryon only and avoid packing certain items if the hotel provides them. TIA!
At Beloved they provide all the basic toiletries you need from Bulgari. You may want to bring your own shampoo & conditioner. There’s also a small convenience store just steps from the from the front door to grab other necessities like sunscreen, etc. The prices at the convenience store are MUCH cheaper than the gift shop.

That's awesome. So jealous! If you're Excellence Club definitely hit up Magna. The pottery painting cart at Excellence makes for angreat custom souvenir. If you're spending 7 nights at Beloved, you do get to head over to Excellence for a night, so maybe check out the entertainment schedule ahead of time and see what night you would want to head over. Just enjoy yourself and both resorts. You're going to love it!
My husband and I are huge fans of the Excellence Collection. We loved both the Beloved & Excellence El Carmen but we thought Excellence El Carmen held the #1 spot.

We want to book for our Anniversary next year based in your video. Having trouble deciding on a room. We like the idea of a swim out, but the Casita with private pool looks nice too. I'm not a fan of cooler water though, so I'm not sure the private pool would be warm enough in october. Do you have a preference? Open to any room swim out and up.
Pool temps in October will still be warm. End of November to mid March have cooler temperatures

Great video! We just got back from our third trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres. We stayed at Excellence El Carmen each of the three years before that. I love EPM but it was just getting a bit much with the larger parties and the whoop whoop at the main pool. Or maybe we are getting a little older. Either way, we were looking for something different. I couldn't pass up Black Friday deals so I booked Excellence Riviera Cancun, Excellence El Carmen and at the last minute Beloved. I was a little concerned about the smaller number of restaurants but your video makes me think that won't be a problem. Do you know if Claudia Trevino plays there also? She is our favorite entertainer at EPM.
She does play at Beloved. You can check the Excellence Collection app and look at the entertainment schedule to see what nights she plays. You are going to absolutely Beloved!

Hi, you mention Secrets Akumal - have you got a video review of that? We've always stayed at Excellence and have our first stay at Secrets in Jan.
We visited Secrets Akumal years ago when they first opened. This was before we had a vision to create All Inclusive Reviews. For context, we LOVED Akumal and would rate it similar to EPM. Akumal rooms are more updated than Excellence. Food is similar. Swimming with the turtles was so much fun. Service is similar. It's farther from the airport than EPM, so transfer times are longer. You will love AKUMAL. We would love to go back and do a full production of that resort sometime. Our next videos will be of Dreams & Secrets Playa Mujeres, Including a production on the beautiful golf course.
Does the all inclusive cover eating at the other properties or just at beloved only? Great video.. Trying to find a place for my 20th anniversary
If you happen to stay 7 nights or more at Beloved, you do get to spend 1 night next door at Excellence for dinner & Nighty entertainment. Otherwise no, you can’t freely eat at the other properties.

We are so excited to go to Beloved, we are booked in a Penthouse suite. My husband loves a good breakfast and lunch buffet at all inclusives. Does Beloved have buffets? I didn't see that option on the Excellence app. Thanks for this amazing video! It helped make our decision to book a Excellence/Beloved split stay.

Having no weddings at the resort is huge. We were just at Majestic Elegance and they had several weddings daily which included kicking people out of the upper pool for ceremonies. It was so irritating.
Oh boy are you right about that. It’s the only resort that I know of that does NOT allow weddings & groups. Beloved is such a special place. We’re heading to Dreams & Secrets Playa Mujeres in September. Keep an eye out for those videos!
My birthday is in November and when I went to book EPM I was so disappointed that it’s booked for the days I wanted. Looking at this review I’m almost sold on booking this resort for my husband (who is also a meat and potatoes guy) and myself.

We loved Beloved so much. Don’t be swayed by my dining experience with steaks, there are so many other options on the menus. We can’t wait to return to Beloved!
For those of us who don't want to go to bed at 10pm; I wish you would have covered the sports bar.
I’m with you on that. Unfortunately during our stay, the sports bar was not open do to Covid protocols. There were a lot of things that were missing due to that, buffet was another thing missing during our stay too!

The beach is the perfect size & it never felt crowded. They keep the chairs spaced really well so it never feels congested! You’re going to love Beloved!

Yes. Marinate chicken in garlic infused oil, grill with salt & pepper. Super easy & so delicious. The key is to make sure the chicken has skin. We use thighs like at El Mar
We were there in April and would love to get Mipsy chicken recipe.
We made it last night for a group of 30 for a 4th of July pool party & fireworks! It’s simple, marinate chicken thighs with skin in garlic infused oil, then grill with only salt & pepper for seasoning.

This video was so helpful!!! My fiancé and I are interested in splitting time between the resorts for our honeymoon. Do you have any tips for that? Were you able to work with the company itself to avoid fees and whatnot? We love the idea of having a few days to party it up, and then spend the last couple unwinding and spending time relaxing together before getting back to the real world. Thank you in advance!!!
Thank you so much for your comments. So splitting between 2 resorts, especially Excellence & Beloved is super easy. Simply book separate stays at each & when you arrive at Excellence just let them know that you’ll be moving over to Beloved at the end of your stay. They’ll make all arrangements to get the Beloved golf cart to come over & pick up you & your bags. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Lots of questions…let’s start at the top. The beach is beautiful, seaweed is hit & miss (much better in this area because it’s protected by Isla Mujeres). No dining reservations needed. There’s enough variety that we were never bored & never got sick. They have plenty of bottled water & ice has been filtered so it’s fine. The property is compact, literally a few minutes from beach to the farthest end. We like cold rooms too, notify maintenance & they’ll program it lower. Also bring some damp-rid to cut down the humidity. WiFi is strong everywhere
@AllInclusiveReviews Excellent, thank you. I'm concerned their lowest room category is only available, and I'm not sure this will suffice for our first trip to Mexico. We are older and accustomed to luxury.
As we mentioned in our Beloved room tour video, the rooms are showing a little bit of wear & could definitely use an upgrade. Having said that, we thought the room was comfortable & fine considering how little time we spent in the room. If you’re looking for a smaller more boutique type resort just like Beloved, but newer…you may want to check out the new Impression Isla Mujeres. It’s really compact like Beloved & the service is supposed to be fantastic. It’s still brand new as it just opened in 2023. We’re still huge fans of Beloved & this is where my wife & I will go when we just want some quiet relaxation
Hi there! My fiancé and I were planning on staying at Excellence PM for 8 nights for our honeymoon. After further research, we're thinking about doing 4 nights at Excellence PM and 4 nights at Beloved PM. It'd be a little more expensive and the Excellence Honeymoon Package would no longer be complimentary, but do you think it would be worth it? This place looks wonderful!
That sounds like an amazing plan & is exactly what we did. You can get your high energy party & entertainment on for 4 days & then relax in peaceful serenity to end your trip. You get the best of both worlds! It is absolutely worth it! Beloved will come get you in the golf cart to bring you over.

That’s a great question. I checked in the Excellence Collection app to see if they had it listed under Spa, but they don’t. Maybe if you sweet talk Paola at the spa or Grecia the guest services manager they’ll allow you to go again. 😉
Thoughts on beloved Vs Le blanc?
Wow, that's a tough one. LeBlanc has better food. Beloved has better service. LeBlanc is in the hotel zone so closer to other activities off property. I'm not a huge fan of the hi-rise type buildings found in the hotel zone and much prefer the low-rise more tropical feel and overall grinds of Beloved. Beloved beach feels more private. LeBlanc butlers are fantastic. Beloved is smaller and more intimate. 7 Nights at Beloved also gets you 1 night next door at Excellence to dine and check out the nightlife they offer. Thanks for a great question, you made me have to think on this one. I think overall I prefer what Beloved has to offer in Cancun better than LeBlanc. Now I hear LeBlanc in Los Cabos is fantastic and is someplace I'd love to visit sometime.
Can anyone help with the best currency to bring out to this specific resort? I'm going here for my honeymoon and need help with know what to take out there.
That's a great question and one we see come up almost daily on the various Facebook travel pages. We actually produced a video on tipping that answers the why, when and how much questions that are most commonly asked. As far as currency is concerned, we suggest USD. Hello we are going March 2024, and staying in the Penthouse, do they provide transportation to and from the airport
Oh boy, you are going to love Beloved. I haven't seen the Penthouse personally, but here it's fantastic! Regarding transport, It depends on how you booked your reservation. Some, but not all reservations booked directly through the resort included transportation through Seasons Transport. You'll have to double check your reservation and see if it mentions transportation included or not. If not, I suggest using Kalido, USA Transfer or Canada Transfer. Those are some of the most mentioned and trusted transport companies for private transportation.

Just spent 5 days here. Service was amazing and amenities were top notch. The food was not good though. I had better food at the airport on my way back than I did there. I tried the sushi, steaks, pizza, nachos, ceviche, and alot more. Food was very disappointing.
Damn, we booked 4 nights here in November. The food doesn't look that bad in the video. lol Is the resort loud or difficult to sleep at nignt?

What can you do outside of the resort?
Within the gated community of Playa Mujeres is the Playa Mujeres Golf Club. Otherwise on the beach you have an opportunity for various activities like kite surfing, jet ski, parasailing, hobby cat, etc. Those are through an outside vendor & are NOT free. You can also catch a cab and go shopping downtown, head to the hotel zone, catch a boat to Isla Mujeres or even book an excursion off the resort through Seasons which has a desk in the lobby (you can also book other excursions on-line if you want)
If you book at BELOVED are you able to visit EPM?
If you spend 7 nights at Beloved, you get to have dinner and spend the evening at EPM. Make arrangements when checking in at Beloved, they only have certain availability.
