Dr. Hariri discusses how high blood sugar and senescent cells contribute to aging, emphasizing the need for glucose control for better health.
    Highlights
🩸 Aging is linked to damage in core systems like the circulatory system.
🍬 High blood sugar acts like broken glass in circulation, causing damage.
🦠 Senescent cells can be beneficial in youth but harmful in aging.
🔍 Natural killer (NK) cells are crucial for clearing senescent cells.
⚖️ Keeping glucose levels low enhances immune function and longevity.
🏋️‍♂️ Active individuals may manage high glucose without long-term damage.
🧬 Continuous glucose monitoring can provide valuable insights into health.

Couple weeks since I may have torn my meniscus. I continue VO2 max training (at least one week now that I picked it up) and upper body strength training but no lower body strength training. Testosterone is through the roof! I have been having caramel frappes from McDonald’s for about a couple weeks on average like 3 times per week, sometimes every day. Still have abs. Don’t listen about the keto lifestyle. If you hit your cardio such as 150 or 180 minutes depending on the recommendation you listen to, VO2 max train, and strength train you can have your carbs as long as they are healthy, and, if you are like me often eating in a deficit but taking supplements you may get that craving even and even be able to satiate it

Maximizing the amount of protein you eat per day
    Some sugars are fine
Sugar can help you eat more protein
    In a protein shake
    BBQ sauce
Some sauces you’ll eat with meat

Fruits for example are way more sweet today than before cultivation.
I guess vegetables are the new fruits and you should stick to vegetables.

He is dead wrong about GLP1 agonists, and even metformin, as they have nasty side effects. They destroy the balance of the body. The best way to keep glucose in check is life style, nutrition management, not just dieting. Low carb and healthy body weight on the outside, with a bmi not larger than 22 or boy fat not large than 14% for boys, and bmi 23 or bf not larger than 18% for girls. On the inside, there is then a healthy metabolism.
He is also wrong about "tolerable" glucose spikes. Any rise above 130/140 inflicts damage that needs to be repaired.
And Hb1ac can be very wrong... ask Dr. Berry, as it is dependent on the life span of red blood cells, which can deviate +/- 15% from the assumed 120 days.
Glucose can damage yes, but inflammation caused by hypertrophic faat cells due to constantly elevated insulin is much more dangerous. In relation to insulin, glucose is lagging behind many years, if not decades.
