This honestly is not a good farm. I did this in retail back in the day when you could server hop. The stuff only really sells if you play on an RP realm.

I mean was you able to sell any of that low level green crap? If you did then yeah that would be a great gold farm; just not so sure if it worked or not.
Yes they sold just fine, just don't overprice them, don't blindly undercut the current price by 1c, compare current price to average sell price and set the price closer to the latter.
and who is gonna consistently buy that green trash? show us how much you actually made after selling , its gonna be a fraction of what your addon tells you😂also it lists some of the greens for 300g + nobody is gonna buy that
Prices are from TSM's RegionSaleAvg module, which means that that's the price the item SELLS for on average, not the average POST price which a clickbaiter would use. If the addon shows 300g, it does so because that's what players buy it for on average. They sell for that price because they are wanted for transmog and are semi rare. The greens with a value of 10-30g sell for that price because their ilvl is in the disenchanting sweetspot that gives illusion dust, currently the most expensive enchanting mat.

@@cefeck If it sold once a year it would not have a 0.101 sale rate, closer to 0.001. A 0.1 sale rate means every 10th auction of this item sells, and considering it's a green item, we can assume that several hundreds of them are posted in the region (every EU server) each week. That's a good enough sample size to make the RegionSaleAvg price trustworthy.
I’m gonna try this one. Never really farmed rares before. Having some motivation issues to play the game but a few hours a week I’m doing it 😊
