i just grinded through the amx 40 for this thing, it was living hell do not--i repeat do not grind the amx 40 unless you dont have enough free xp for it, like i didnt even so, i still free xp'd the last third of the xp i needed
I am also driving ELC (also 3 stripes) but I wondered why he use a fire-extinguisher on it? ELC is basically oneshot, and if hit, it doesn't really matter. Best is to not get spotted at all. And why does he aim so few, and if, most of the time quite bad? IS6 has worst armor on turret and lower plate, he shoots upper plate (first) and he has the back of the t32 and does not aim? But he seems to be a close combat fighter and that t32 trolling was pretty nice!
Alex van Rooijen I fairly unique problem with the ELC, since it's so low to the ground. The angle you'd generally shoot the driver's hatch actually makes the lower plate easier to pen. So don't even try it without premium ammo unless you're on a hill pointing downwards.
the lower plate isn't weak on the is6, 120mm at a steeper angle give it about the same effective thickness as the upper plate , if you can go through it you can go through the upper plate.
That was an amazing game, I love my elf for the fact that it is so small and fast, with a punchy gun for a light tank, which can be but to use using its camp in a bush
I think thing that makes the ELC unique, is that it has a weapon that you would normally find on tier 6 tank destroyers, and it's mounted on an ultra-small ultra-fast platform. The ELC AMX is a powerful machine in the right hands, but it is a very kind of high-risk high-reward type of gameplay. The gun does way more damage than anyone would expect from a tank of it's size and tier, but it can't take hits well at all.
This is, by far for me, is the most interesting battle replay you have, QB! That IS6 and ELC duel, is really interesting. I see that that IS6 is good player too, at least he took his chance to cap the flag up to 99%, manage to take 2nd chance at 90+%, still able to hold his own but ELC outwits him at the last minute. Good battle, IS6 and ELC and that T29, I'll give my thumbs for them!
I love the low profile nature of the ELC AMX. I was in a teir 8 battle and I was spotted by a Tiger 2. I backed up as fast as I can and he makes an inaccurate shot going right over my tank.

I love my ELC AMX! I have about 430 games in it and I have played about 4,800 battles on my account so that tells you how much fun the ELC AMX truly is. It is my most played tank with the T14 in second and I am not going to sell either of those two tanks as I have some of my best games in those tier five tanks!
Not sure why people think the lower plate is a weakspot on the is-6. It's only weak if your aiming up at it, otherwise it's usually a lot stronger than the upper. do to the angles of aim. Gotta shoot the hatch on the upper plate.
Have you consider the low profil of the ELC ? From this high, the lower plate is worst angle the upper one. Few more centimeters, and the shell comes from underground.
Well yah but he's still above the Is-6 xD Probably one of those heat of the moment type of things. Can't judge too much I do it every now and again too.
Legion The Comrade he was above the is6 but also very far, at the limit of spotting range, 400 m. At that distance the angle of incidence is extremely small, doesn't really matter if he shoots the lower plate or the hatch
many people fight the IS-6 like they would an IS-3, and from the front the lower plate is just about the only "weak" spot on an IS-3 so that's where people shoot. And it's a tad weaker than the upper plate, if you don't know the better places to shoot your chances of penning it are slightly higher than the rest of the tank's front :)
No doubt that the guy was skilled, but he was also completely lucky beyond reason. Last second clutch shot at long range that pens and saves the day? And while we are at it, a tier 5 light tank several times pens the front of a tier 8 heavy? Seems legit.
One of the fastest, most fun tanks in world of tanks to pilot. it's so fast it can get you into and out of trouble all at once lol and makes a great sniper.
+Daniel Neumann I have the impression that at a certain update it got a slightly higher profile, when its named changed from ELC AMX to AMX ELC bis. But that was quite a while ago, probably when the new map Overlord was released, or just before (was it update 9.9 ?) Maybe it was when the new french tanks came into the game (AMX 30 B etc)
The way the camo works on the PC seems way better than how it works on the 360 version. On the 360 version you get detected with camo net, maxed crew camo skill AND hiding in a bush!
Hey QuickyBaby, you mention something about shooting 'through' walls by using 3rd person view mode when targetting an enemy tank. Can you explain that a bit more? I mean, does that allow your ammo to bypass obstacles??

I was facepalming so hard, that IS-6 has 25k battles and all he can think of is capturing the base. He had enough HP to chase him down and probably bounce most of the shots. Good game anyways :)
Some Thing Goodluck hitting a dodging ELC in city with 122mm corners corners corners ELC simply outruns you. And it is a bit harsh to say the IS-6 failed with that last second unaimmed reset...
I love the feeling I get when I see an ELC racing across the field in my Stug at anywhere from 3 to 4 hundred meters away, shoot, and track him and watch him die. There really is no better feeling than that :3
Me and a friend and doing concept designing for a game focused around tank and historical battles, and well as outta this world battles, and outta this world battles (quite literally) and one of the tank we will put in will be ina singleplayer mission that we call Tankenstien's Monster. That monster in the combination of this tank, and one of the most heavily armored tanks of all time. We shall call it the :ELC AMMAUS
perfect game for the ELC AMX because of the short range of sight, the ELC AMX has to move a lot to spot tanks. Fabulaus 90,mm gun gives a lot of penetration to have damage like that so what a nice tank that is :)
Awesome replay ^^ my little ELC got 3 marks of excellence as well, managed to get to 100% for a short while also not too long ago (: my best game with it was about 3.1k damage, and 8 kills. (still lost that battle though)
Are the Marks of Excellence a premium thing? Because I have mastery badges, including 3 ace tankers, yet my gun barrels are quite barren. What makes them show up?
Same shit happened to me in my 121....did 7k dmg and 5 kills unharmed Did have to fight for a Radley tho, ended up ramming an stb-1 to death at the end :D

i once had a realy troll mode game with my elc amx, i was hiding behind enemy arti, an enemy tried to shoot me, kills hiw own arti and then i just moved on to the next arti xD, such a hillarious game
The higher FPS is a cool feature QB, but there really is no need.. For those who struggle to watch in 1080p at 29.97fps already.. putting it up to 45, or even (ridiculously 60) is just not necessary and I'm sure will upset some watchers.. :)
IS-6 made the mistake of thinking his tier 8 heavy tank could not be penetrated easily...however, with gold ammo, even your tier 5 light tanks can penetrate the hardest targets! Very stronk, much skills, big cap circle, rubber duck, etc.
if you end up not being bottom tier, not usually any reason to use premium rounds in most matches. Otherwise, pick and choose what to use against which target. And if you're in a tier 5-6 tank up against an IS-6, that's premium or you're never going to pen them, especially with a relatively inaccurate gun.

The only way premium ammo could be removed is if you'd never face tanks more than 1 tier higher than you, and that won't happen.
jwenting That's bullshit. You CAN penetrate everything 1 and 2 tier higher than you. Just have to learn how to play. Premium ammo MAKES a lot of difference. The tanks are balanced considering regular ammo. So, there are lot of tanks that are slow, but well armored, and a lot of tanks that fast and weakly armored. That is nearly equal. But IF the fast and weakly armored tank is using premium ammo, the slow, but heavily armored tank is in a huge drawback. That's why medium tanks + premium ammo rule the games in CW and random.
did everyone forget that you can buy the ammo for silver also?.. I do buy them like that... for critical situations. though i'd preffer if you couldn't buy them with gold, or there would be like a limit of 5 per game.
Robert Ravas that can easily be done if you got millions of credits you don't need, i mean, look at his ammo, 15-20 APCR? that guy sure has a bunch of credits. and it's not ANY tier 5 LT, it's bert's dad.
The IS-6 made a terrible mistake, why would you still sit in the open after being shot by an invisible tank?.. If he abandon the cap and go for the city center, he can easily avoid the ELC to use bushes while able to defend his own cap
the power to weight from around 36hp/t to around 22hp/t, the gun dpm, penetration from 170 to 120, premium pen from 248 to 150, HP from 400 to 320, top speed from 65km/h to 60km/h
Hey Quicky, I just saw a yotuber named Matimio, he plays battlefield 4 and he does a series called "TERRIBLE WEAPON CHALLENGE" where basically suscribers tell him a awfull (but no ridiculous) weapon set up and the coments with the most likes is the set up selected, 4 example, run the ELC AMX with the 90mm gun, top engine, top tracks, but only with HE ammo, binoculars, improved suspension and vents, agresive scouting, hit and run hehe, would be nice that u do the same with world of tanks dontcha? sorry about my bad english, i love ur content!

just shoot the is-6 on the gun mantlet just on the right of the gun (if you are facing it from the front)...just where the hole is (machine gun port or whatever that is) 175mm pen+ gun can go through it.

Wha! 45 is a weird FPS. Its in between smooth (60) and choppy (30). I think you should just stick with 60 since 45 is just an unpleasant fps.

He was probably aiming for driver's hatch on the upper plate of the IS-6..it's a weakspot.
I dont believe you have 3 Marks on the ELC since you dont even know the drivers hatch is a weak spot on the is-6 everyone knows that

Don't tell them...don't listen ppl, keep shooting my lower plate when you see me in my IS6 :)

dullegitte it always bypasses soft obstacles like those walls, but it let's you aim better and see the silhoutte of the tank.

Isn't 445 the maximum view range? so what is the point on adding other extra stuff after you reach it?
I enjoy the elc-amx as well, one of my favorite tanks to play in the game, and I have rather good results in it, most of the time :)
I consider the ELC-AMX to be one of best hit and run tanks in the game, it's fast, it's nimble and that gun is just mean.
elx amc bis could be a monster in this game (my opinion) if it could move its turret 360 degrease.

The IS-6 made a terrible mistake, why would you still sit in the open after being shot by an invisible tank?.. If he abandon the cap and go for the city center, he can easily avoid the ELC to use bushes while able to defend his own cap

Hey Quicky, I just saw a yotuber named Matimio, he plays battlefield 4 and he does a series called "TERRIBLE WEAPON CHALLENGE" where basically suscribers tell him a awfull (but no ridiculous) weapon set up and the coments with the most likes is the set up selected, 4 example, run the ELC AMX with the 90mm gun, top engine, top tracks, but only with HE ammo, binoculars, improved suspension and vents, agresive scouting, hit and run hehe, would be nice that u do the same with world of tanks dontcha? sorry about my bad english, i love ur content!

Can you only go into free camera in replays? Or can you do it in spectator mode. If so, how?
Using a free cam mod in-game is illegal. But in replays, try downloading freecam mods.

did the same thing the tiger did but in an IS and it was fun
also not fun to go against elcs in a kv-2
just shoot the is-6 on the gun mantlet just on the right of the gun (if you are facing it from the front)...just where the hole is (machine gun port or whatever that is) 175mm pen+ gun can go through it.
On Xbox one it is called the AMX ELC bis? and i have 3 service stars on it haha i freaking love the tank and i also love the AMX 12 t
