Hmm. I went to find Bolson to invite him to the wedding and it was night time. He and Karson were asleep in one of the new build houses before the bridge to Link's house. I wonder if they live there together and hang out in front of the cooking pot all day just eating and watching the river. A charmed life!
Another cool thing about Hino is that one of his dialogues during a normal night is that he says that the moon is so full it looks like it could fall out of the sky which I think is a cool little reference to Majoras Mask.
@@gkeller1031 I did something like that. Dialogue: so she wants to see a Guardians I'm going to bring a life one to you hahahahahaha. After matj: It got stuck between some pillars so I killed it
But at night Bolson and Karson walk to the buildings across the bridge from links house and you can see them sleeping. So maybe that campfire is just their hangout spot and they like it too much to leave. Their still weird though.
Wait, does that mean you can stick campfires on the bridge to stop them from coming over uninvited? Though you will have to deal with the constant smell of *smoke and burning flesh,* but that's a small price to pay.
Something I realized was that Loone and Magda's eyes when they are being strange/crazy are almost have the same style. They are also both obsessed with a certain thing. Magda with her flowers and Loone with the Ancient Sheikah Technology. Hmm..
Maybe they are sisters, and all the family act that way ( maybe the same family of the old lady in kakariko village that don't let you come closer to the plum trees, maybe... )
I've noticed that these two also happen to have bird-based names (Magda-Magpie, Loone-Loon), a trait of the residents of Skyloft - perhaps they are descended from the ancient Sky-People we could be seeing in BotW2? Their fascinations also seem like they can sense things beyond other people... ...or they could just be batshit insane.

The fact that Ashai is giving classes on male/female relationships shows just how serious the Gerudo actually take towards not just the continuation of their culture, but also future happiness of the next generation. Yeah, they're warriors but they're also people with wants and needs. Risa has stupid answers, but she's seeing the situations as a warrior would rather than as a person. At least she's aware she needs these classes since she's actually acting like all the bad things outsiders consider the Gerudo women, which in OoT was a very real thing.
The bolson bro's are one of my favorite npcs in botw. Most npc's in this game have more detail and character than even Mipha or Ganon. But sink in the fact that Moza defeated a Lynel with a pot and a spoon. She even draws and sheaths them like a weapon. ᵃˡˢᵒ ᵗʰᵉ ʷᵒᵐᵉⁿ ⁿᵖᶜˢ ᵃʳᵉ ᵏⁱⁿᵈᵃ ʰᵒᵗ
Link: I want to save Zelda as soon as possible, even a moment sooner. Also Link: becomes a drug dealer, takes cooking lessons from a crazy person on a mountain, cross dresses to sneak into a town, denies shopkeeper insects, tries to get rid of squatters, herds extremely dangerous cuckoos, audits a class, gets annihilated by a gardener, observes a man with a possible case of mild lycanthropy, and takes creeper pictures of robots
In Link's defense, cross dressing to sneak into town is required to free one of the Divine Beasts, which is generally considered part of completing the main story, alongside collecting all the memories.
Here’s something else about Risa. She talks about violence a lot, we know that. But look at her haircut, remind you of anyone? It’s the same haircut that Ganondorf had in the older games. Another thing is that it’s the same color as well

Even if link did sign a contract with Bolson, who's going to enforce it? King Roam? Oh wait, he's dead. Princess Zelda? Oh right, she's been fighting Ganon for a hundred years. When you look at it that way, Bolson could be the biggest scammer in video game history.
True. How does the hyrulean economy even survive the calamity anyways? It seems like the entire population of hyrule is limited to like a couple towns and some travelers. There’s tons of ruins and no military whatsoever. This country should be in shambles, why haven’t people from the north used this opportunity to invade and colonize hyrule’s lands? Maybe the neighboring countries were allies with hyrule sometime after the calamity? But then that brings up the question how did they become allies in the first place with no real government in place and why are they not helping reconstruct hyrule? If everyone assumes the royal family is dead, why don’t people try to re elect new leaders or kings???
Honestly, I thought it was both strange and creepy that link would keep the guts of his slain enemies and has no issue in eating them aswell. Kinda weird.
When I first started playing my friend kept telling me how scary guardians are, after I encountered my first guardian and successfully killed it without dying, I started to love guardians and would willing go out of my way to fight them. So when I heard of loone I was like “that will be my best friend”
One could argue that Moza is, by definition, insane. She's been trying out recipes that don't work for so long that she's surrounded herself in trash and inedible material. She keeps using Actual rocks that aren't salt, machinery, and monster parts with nothing else expecting it to just one day work with no change.
When I encountered bolson on my second playthrough I had way over 3000 rupees and tried to just buy the house without needing to find wood... but he called me poor and wanted wood
I have a headcanon that Vilia is genderfluid and that they wear the Gerudo outfit when they're feeling more feminine. When they're feeling more masculine, they simply walk around in Hylian clothes. They're close enough with the Gerudo living in Gerudo Town to be out to them, but they don't see the need to be out to every traveler in the nearby oasis. This would also explain why none of the Gerudo seem concerned about the rumors of a man sneaking into Gerudo Town; they already know the rumors aren't true.
This was one of the last games my father and I played together before he passed about a year and a half ago now.. such great memories, thanks man this was a very interesting list
hey mate, its hard dealing with this sort of stuff. If you ever need anything, I'd be more than happy to do anything to help. even if its just listening to complaints about a hard day.
I think Beedle is affiliated with the Yiga, therefore he technically works for Ganon, and it is very suspicious that he makes an attempt on Link's life by dropping him out of an airship
I like how the Guardian didn't even react to Link or Loone's presence. It seemed more as if it was trying to figure out how it got there in the first place.
So when I first got this side quest I actually brought a guardian to Loone when she started running my first thought was *visible confusion* and then I pushed it away so I could reset the animation took a picture of her running away from the guardian then killed the guardian and showed her the photo
Reminds me of my first encounter with a black mobiln during my 6th playthrough. It was at that broken bridge that leads to a sheikah tower where the descendant of a knight is attacked by a moblin. There was thunderstorm going on when I got there, the moblin had a knight sword, Link no metallic weapon on him and I the camera rune. I waited with the camera ready and took a picture of it when it was struck by lightning. It's still my favorite picture in the Compendium
I tried SO HARD at the flower thing the first time I played, I was really careful and I felt so bad when she ran around like that I thought she was destroying her own beautiful flower beds. Someone needs to teach her how to make a stone garden path i stg 😭
I tried to do it the legit way and couldn't because of those damn red flowers, so in the end I said fck it and made a huge fire which created wind and helped me land on top of the shrine.
Back when you could you could pass the dark beast ganon fight and go to the shrine, she wouldnt be there and you could cut down all of the flowers but when you did, she would appear over the horizon, and beam you down with huge guardian laser eyes
I've been playing BotW for 4 years, since launch, for literally hundreds of hours - in fact I played a bit just now, during which I met crazy Loone who's in love with the shrine ball, for the first time. Immediately afterwards I quit and went onto TH-cam, and this video's thumbnail greeted me as the very 1st recommended video. 😂 Such a crazy coincidence.
I remember this one npc in one of the stables in hyrule field, and he was called “The Master Torch”. Yeah i took that name and its now my clash of clans username
That NPC is also possibly a reference to Wind Waker. during certain bits in the game, if you end up talking to the fish man by putting bait in the water on the great sea in some areas, he'll end up mentioning something about the "triumph forks". It's referencing the triforce, obviously. but because of how long it's been, the triforce has basically just faded away into legend, a legend passed down by generations and generations, some of whom probably told the story wrong.
That flower light Gannon joke has me on this process now, fuckin link walks up and the opening starts and all the sudden the shrine monk dialogue appears saying "link, don't mess around with her. I tried leaving this reached place, and I met my demise about 30 minutes ago. Please stay safe."
19:54 thanks for the screenshot I’ve been looking for something like this, remember you can use the master sword beams from far away to destroy her flowers without altering her (master sword’s best use is for gardening after all)
Magda caught me off guard the first time around because I initially glided to the shrine from the nearby cliff and then stepped on the flowers on my way out.
Moza’s advice actually kind of comes in handy. If you’re in a place with very limited resources, like the sword trials, cooking some wood to heal 1/4 heart can actually help. I wouldn’t waste valuable monster parts or ancient parts though… just cook the wood!
I played this game since launch, and I never even seen Hino and his crazy reaction to a Blood Moon before. The odds of me going to that stable during a Blood Moon were always slim anyways.
I noticed another thing about Bolson, his earring is in the right ear. There's an old saying about men wearing an earring in a certain ear. I'm not judging, I just thought he was a fascinating addition to the game. Some people have tried to say Bolson says he wants to get married, and have a family, but he doesn't mention a family, he just says he wants to get married, and settle down. As far a Karson goes, I think he goes both ways. Him and Bolson definitely have something going on, but Karson later says he's going back to be with his g/f or something like that.

I wonder if they live there together and hang out in front of the cooking pot all day just eating and watching the river. A charmed life!
Definitely charmed! I wish I could bring them some snacks or water during the day for being so nice :>
Another cool thing about Hino is that one of his dialogues during a normal night is that he says that the moon is so full it looks like it could fall out of the sky which I think is a cool little reference to Majoras Mask.

@@rhettmitchell yes. Reede.

I have a headcanon that Vilia is genderfluid and that they wear the Gerudo outfit when they're feeling more feminine. When they're feeling more masculine, they simply walk around in Hylian clothes. They're close enough with the Gerudo living in Gerudo Town to be out to them, but they don't see the need to be out to every traveler in the nearby oasis. This would also explain why none of the Gerudo seem concerned about the rumors of a man sneaking into Gerudo Town; they already know the rumors aren't true.
