Note that binding a radio to a receiver and calibrating your ESC are 2 separate things. Check your trim settings on your radio, did you move the throttle trim? It must be all the way down before calibrating.

My son has a ECX Ruckus that just had a motor swap done on it yesterday. When I got it home and tested everything, reverse did not work and it was a whole lot faster going forward than I ever seen and on top of that I couldn’t shut it off. It may not work. I'd try using the center knob position on the servo tester as your neutral point, and then full clockwise as full throttle, and full counterclockwise as your full brake. This will obviously not be correct for later using it with a radio but may get it to calibrate enough to run the motor.

@@RCJuice Hi, I am also having an esc without a button(at least I cannot find it). Namely this combo: www.banggood.com/Surpass-Hobby-Waterproof-F540-V2-Sensorless-Brushless-Motor-with-60A-ESC-for-1-or-10-RC-Vehicles-p-1548050.html?cur_warehouse=CN&ID=511868&rmmds=search Now this is a really cheap esc so I don't expect much from it, but any calibration wouldn't hurt. I already tried using full throttle or full reverse and then turning on the esc but it just waits for the transmitter to be in the neutral position. I also have this programming card for the esc: www.banggood.com/Racerstar-LED-Program-Card-For-Racerstar-Surpass-Rocket-ESC-p-1057127.html?cur_warehouse=CN&rmmds=search But then the esc is plugged into that and not in the receiver so I doubt that it can be used for any calibration. • @RCJuice

It's the same thing, here we refer it as full-brake because if you go from full-throttle straight to the other end of the trigger travel as you do during calibration without a pause, brake will be engaged. Reverse takes a pause in neutral to engage.

Check the instructions for your ESC.
