I thought my tablet was done for. It's been collecting dust for years, and I've only recently started using it everyday. Thanks a lot man, really useful and easy to follow instructions.
I'm sure this works fine, but my i suggest to people who don't want to do this, that you hold down the power & volume button at the same time for about 10 seconds, then try to turn it back on. I just did that for my tablet (which i have owned for over 3 years) and it booted right up without the loss of memory or anything. It worked on my Lenovo Tab3
YES!!! I bought mine about 4 years ago, hadn't used it much and probably haven't powered it up in even a couple years. Wouldn't charge or turn on... This worked like a charm!
Sweet! this worked! I have a Lenovo A10-70 that wouldnt turn on despite using the paperclip, holding power button, power button and volume buttons, and a variety of other combos. It's already been repaired under warranty for a few issues, and I was NOT looking forward to contacting customer service, nor dealing with the repair center or taking it somewhere. This totally worked, and all I used was a butter knife to gently pry open the cover, and a small eye glass repair screw set. Truly appreciate this video!
I had problem that tablet didn't turn on. When I plugged charger it seemed that tablet is going to boot but then it turned off and repeated this like every 10 seconds. I used this video and... it helped!!! Thank you!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to share this with all. Your methodology worked like a charm, and now my "dead" Lenovo Tab2 A10 70F lives again!
Hi all this video is very good and informative but before you start taking the back off etc, put the tablet on charge for about 10 mins (I kept it on charge while doing the next bit) and then just press and hold the on button for about 10-15 seconds, worked for me 👍
Yeah, when he held the power button for 20 seconds in the video, i decided to try that first without opening up the back. It started booting up in 10 seconds!
This totally worked! I hadn't used the tablet for a while and it wouldn't charge up. After following your instructions.Hey Presto, we are now charging up! Thank you!
Yes! Fixed my tablet. Couldn’t find any useful info on the Lenovo site. The manual actually suggest pressing a reset button supposedly located behind the af card cover. Well there is no reset button. But your video showed exactly what I needed to do. Tablet is running again!
Perfect!! Thank you!!! I thought I was going to have to replace my daughter’s tab but this worked!! I tried it once, and it still didn’t work. The second time, I made sure that the end of the battery connector was snapped in place securely onto the little shaped sensor on the tab.... and voila! Thank you so so so so much!!!!!
Brilliant! My humble thank you for this great video. I had already started to grief my old Lenovo, but was delighted to see it awake from the dead again and now works even better than before. Best regards!
Thanks! Had not used my tablet for a few months, charged it over night and it would not turn on. Did a search on found a link to this video from Lenovo forum. Followed your instructions and it turned on!! Thanks again!
After following your steps, I was only able to switch my Lenovo Tab 2 for 2-3 seconds and see logo. I tried several times with the result. So I started to charge the tablet. In the beginning, 1% battery indicator kept coming up for 2-3 seconds and it Tab 2 kept switching off. So I just left it to charge. After a half hour, I tried again and managed to turn the tablet on :) Thanks a lot!
Worked like a charm! When it actually turned on the battery had 82% charge, it's a shame that manufacturers design their products this badly. Anyway YOU saved me money in this so thanks a bunch! 👌
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was nervous the comments were fake and this would ruin my tablet that broke months ago, but I tried it anyways. I didn't know if it would work for mine cause mine just flashed the boot screen then wouldn't turn on, but it was very easy to slide my finger through the cover and snap it back in, now I don't have to spend $60 every 3 months to repair it! TYSM!
I just wanted to say Thank You! I used this last night to help fix my mom's tablet (same model as in video) and it worked! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge to help others out!
Thank you very much. Your solution fixed my problem. My Tablet wouldn't turn on even after being charged overnight. I watched your tutorial, followed your instructions and after putting it back together, the tablet turned on. Thank you again for your help. Great job.
Thanks so much! I've had this problem multiple times and had to send it off to get fixed on every occasion, now I know how to fix it and it's so simple! Thanks again :)
Thank you so much. I thought I was alone in this issue. Soo close to throwing my tablet away cause I won another free tablet in a work raffle but it’s not nearly as nice as the Tab 2. I spent so much time doing research on what tablet to buy at the time and this was the best bang for my buck even though I have an Apple phone. You have saved me so much grief with short simple video. Once again you have my sincerest gratitude, thank you kind stranger.
Thanks mate, this solved our little problem. Apparently the screen had gone blue and made some strange noises, then it wouldnt start at all. This fix solved the issue. Great video many thanks.
This worked for me, but i had to first disconnect and reconnect the battery and then let it charge for a couple of hours before turning it on. You should be able to hear a buzzing from the tab when it is charging up.
Nearly 2 years old video and it works perfect, i thought i had to throw mine away and buy a new one for my daugther, she is super happy now and thanks alot for the video. :)
That worked on my Lenovo TB-8703R as well. Somewhat different config, but it worked, Thought that it had something to do with the battery discharging, but without your help I was lost! Looks like this issue is common to many of these tablets, thank you for the help!
Thanks so much ! Buying the new screw driver was worth it doing the fix myself. you saved already thousands of dollars to all those that were close to getting their tablet repaired or buyin a new one. Its a nice make, however this bug is really terrible. Thanks !
Thank you so much. It has worked for me on the lenovo tablet A3500HV. You have saved me from looking for money to buy another one. Thank you once again.
Thanks for that! My boys tablet had been dead over a week (disaster) followed this took me less than 2 minutes and we're all back up & running! Awesome!
Thanks a lot! My daughter was already freaking out she would lose all the progress made in the game. Great step by step guide for an easy fix everyone with a screwdriver (even without a guitar pig) :-) can manage in 5minutes
Your help was much appreciated my friend. Unplugging the battery cable and then plug it in again did help me. Back in the past when the cellphone got stuck we used to do the same thing by simply taking the battery out. Unfortunately, everything is irremovable nowadays.
Thank you so much! This absolutely worked for me. I hadn't used my tablet in about a year and thought it was done for good. Thanks for the vid and to those in the same boat, try to have tweezers nearby. Getting those tiny screws back in are a bitch!
Worked for me! Thank you so much! Been taking my sons Lenovo Tablet to the repair shop (not been paying as its only 6 months old) but a pain as they claim "nothing is wrong with it". Has been SOO frustrating and now i know how i can fix it myself when it gets stuck. Still annoyed that it has a fault as obviously it shouldnt do this?
Almost had given up hope after trying this.. charged the thing for 10 hours before hand trying to get it to turn on. Did the steps above, plugged in charge cable and then held power button for 20 seconds just before putting back case on again and perfect.. 2 vibrations and booted up. Ty
brilliant - worked like a charm - every single step beautifully explained and saved us a trip to the repair shop or worse having to buy a new one for a very tearful 8 year old! thanks.
Worked like a champ, thanks for posting! Those screws are teeny tiny - it takes an extremely small screwdriver. I had a set of jewelers screwdrivers that did the trick for me.
It worked perfectly for my Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! You made my day ! PS. I will now make sure I never wait for the battery level to near 0% before recharging !
Excellent 👌 and very well explained, it was quite easy to follow unlike many other demos. I had quite a few mishaps during the delicate operation.. believe it or not the volume button, one piece high and low, and the power button both fell out..well the tablet Lenovo 2 A 10-30 was purchased in 2010!!! after I found them and completed your demo I just could not put the left screw back but the tablet is working just fine. My wife plays her Candy crush and I play 8 ball pool and is gets a lot of use at the moment because we are here in Southern Leyte with no electricity since the typhoon Odette scored a direct hit 3 weeks ago..man am I thankful to the tablet and your cure..take care..Dan
Thank you so much! My Lenovo Miix 2-10 (one more for your list) had just been turned off and it would neither charge nor turn on again no matter what I tried. Just a slight red wink from the camera the moment I connected the charger would be the only sign of life in it . Then, I tried your advice and it's all up and running...
Wow ... Lenovo is alive again! First time in two years. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful knowledge :)) P.S ... I am worried about the hot screen while charging so It is sitting outside the window - just in case. Thanks again :))
Thank you bro..this worked.. My lenovo tab model TB2-X30L died for two days after it got hit by water and I could not turn it on..It stuck at lenovo starting screen whenever i want to turn it on..found your good video and this have solved my problemm..love u bro

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This saved my mom's Lenovo tablet from the garbage! What a weird bug to have in the firmware, got to keep this thing plugged in whenever possible.
Thank you, my 9th grade son's tablet wouldn't turn on and this fixed it. Seems like a serious QC issue that Lenovo should've never passed through their factory doors. 🤨
Ikr my old tablet was a small lenovo tablet with Dolby Atmos and it hasn't been turning on for 3 days till now and waiting to find a good technician to fix it since it doesn't have screws like the one on the vid unfortunately... Sidenote: i also had my samsung tab 4 which is like 6-7 years old but has never had this problem EVER
Thanks!! Worked for me on Lenovo yoga tab 2. A bit different set up, but solved the problem. Tablet wouldn't turn up at all. Now back on and working again 😀
