Little correction from a professional tailor-
The perfect pant-length is always taking how slim and tapered the pants are in regard. A skinny fit pair of pants can be worn a bit above the ankle while a pair of straight fits kan lie 2 cm above the floor.

Another tip bro ( for teens ), and this is coming from a minimalist Asian....
Buy slightly longer pants and get them tapered like you said to however extent you want
Then , you curl the additional part in, and get it tailored
And if you think you're gonna grow into them , just loosen the sewing and extend the pants ....
Boom !! No additional costs of buying a new pant

There are brands that cater to tall women, 6ft isn't so tall that it's impossible to find clothes. Also, womens items are often fashionable in shorter hems for pants, ankle length is normal for most styles.
You won't find tall pants in every brand obviously, but they're our there. Consider investing in having a tailor make you cutom pants, at the length you want. They can't lengthen the leg if the original hem doesn't have enough leeway. Getting custom pants won't be cheap, but with nice fabric, that's an investment that will last for years if you go with a timeless style. I have custom made clothes that are 15years old and going strong, occasionally needs new zipper/ buttons but still look good if you take care of it.
If having custom made clothing is too expensive to get more than one piece, You might want to wear a midcalf boot with shorter pants or opt for high top shoes, in the meantime. Mens jeans/ pants can be tailored well to fit you even around the crotch or your butt.

Reminds me of asking a tailor to hem my trousers to the top of my shoe, with no break. And they refused, said you have to have a break.

    IMPORTANT: people please remember!
Be able to understand and recognize that there is different style/ genres of clothes, keep in mind that there’s also sizes on one letter sizing clothing. For example, a men’s size L tee shirt from H&M, or Macy’s, can also be L(large) regular fit, L classic fit, L Slim fit, L loose fit,L long fit, if this is the case the tag will make that aware, items like these are the ones you want to look for or at least try on when you come across clothes that have specific sizes like I said, they will fit much more accurate, compared to the more “ one size fits all xl l m s xs etc “ sizes, so pay attention to what style clothes your looking at and know how it should be born and how long it should be, many ppl have lots of clothes that is one size off Bc they get lazy and impatient when they go shopping for 2 shirts once a year, it takes time , know ur local mall and what style and how they fit you and for what occasion clothes is in each store, if ur 5,9 and weight 180+ lbs, and you can’t bench your own weight or u don’t have any visible muscle, you are fat. Men 180 at 5,9 is overweight unless it’s all muscle. My point is, you can not hide that belly and tittys with a big shirt and say “ it’s supposed to be big that’s the style, or “ I like it a little more baggy and long tho” no u don’t, u know it don’t fit, u know evryone can see how much fat is on u, you will look better wearing clothes that fit your body, depending on the style, Even tho they show more of your body shape then ur used to showing, you’ll look much better then buying clothes a size too big. I just got a couple pairs of jeans tapered to slim the legs in the thigh area. They went from collecting dust for a few months bc they were super close, but just a liiiittle off from being perfect, to now replacing my old favorite jeans. Cost me 30 bucks. $15 per pair. Well worth it. Would have been a waste of another 100 bucks if I didn’t get any use out of em. Jeans are something I don’t mind investing a little into bc when I find a pair that I like, I rock with em until they can be rocked with no longer. Will def get my money’s worth out of them now.

Agree with everything except the last one. Seeing socks while standing is not good, and they get shorter when you sit. Those pants look like a kid who grew out of his pants but still can’t fit the next size up because his waist is too tiny, so he wears the ones that fit in the waist even though his socks or ankles are showing. But everything else was good (although the taper was slightly too tight IMO, but we all have preferences! The ankle one though is not a preference thing lol NOBODY should do that!)
