    This is by far the best video on Text and Text+ that I have found in TH-cam. Thank you for explaining this so well.

    Amazing tutorial , keep growing . i have 2 doubts
    1) is it possible to use fonts with alternate glyphs/swashes ?
    2) Does Davinci have all the text styling/shading features that are generally available in photoshop or After effects named under LAYER STYELS (like Bevel & emboss , satin , pattern overlay.....etc..,)

    great video - thank you!!
    But why would the element defaults for the shading option in the text show up in the edit page but not the fusion page.
    Also do the changes made in the edit page over ride the selections in the fusion page? Or do the choices made in the fusion page override the elements page?
    In the fusion page if you click on Shades does the color in that modifications page refer to the shading color or the font color.
    And in fusion when I have text selected there is no color option. I can size and move the one word selected but there is no option to change the color.
    I am confused.
    I am using free v17. Does that have a lot of glitches using the text plus with fusion. It seems to work and then when I go back and forth between text and shading, the color option for text disappears.

    Amazing! so much options. And this combined with fusion macro makes it perfect for quick personal presets.

    in DR 18.1.4 in text+ is bug. When i try use characterLevelStyling and open keyframe editor, software hang up, but only when I add new keyframe. When editing existing, it's ok.

    Hello, thanks for the video.
    I want to format >rich text< and animate that with keyframes.
    Unfortunately Davinci does not set new keyframes when the text changes.
    In text+ formatting >word by word< seems not possible ?

    Great video....you should show more about the expressions or accent in the area where you type the text in the inspector and right click - I dont understand the part that say Animate, Follow, Timecode etc

    • @CoreAndBlue
      @CoreAndBlue  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! In this case, as this is a quick tips video, I merely dragged the expression + icon to matching controls in the layout tab. But if you would like to learn more about expressions and custom controls, we do have an in depth video on that subject.

      Modifiers are functions that you can add to the text+ tool to give it extra feature. We gave a quick look to some of them but there is so much more that we will cover in future videos.

    What's the best way to do subtitles?

    • @CoreAndBlue
      @CoreAndBlue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the target platform. DaVinci Resolve had powerful built-in subtitles features and you can then choose at Export if they are exported as a separate file, burnt in the video or, if you choose QuickTime for exemple, embedded inside the file.

    I don't want a Text+ specific option to add a drop-shadow, instead I want a generic "Drop-Shadow" effect that I can use to any clip text or whatever

    • @CoreAndBlue
      @CoreAndBlue  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So… just use the generic Drop shadow node that is available in Fusion. This method is for an all in one built-in solution. 😊

    • @lazarom9998
      @lazarom9998 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CoreAndBlue Thank you, I search in the effects from the "Edit" tab and didn't find anything with the word "shadow" in it, I didn't know there were different/more effects when searching from Fusion!

    • @CoreAndBlue
      @CoreAndBlue  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, some effect can only be applied to a clip from the Fusion page. 👍🏻
