It was mostly leg kicks.. if his head was taking more damage, then stopping it would have been good.

Very true, I have watched the match live, back then too I have said, more than the referee his corner should have stopped the fight, that was nothing short of sacrificing the fighter which could put the career of the fighter in jeopardy.

Thai usually will not throw full power leg kick if they see that their opponent are done but in an MMA fight the Thai would most likely go for the kill .
The reffere could of made enormous damage to Scilt health .
Also the Thai is Yodkaikaew , many people saw that he has even outclassed Yodsanklai Fairtex ( the best 70 KG Thai fighter of the last two decade ) even in sparring it looked liked they were actually fighting still Yodsanklai got a very hard time dealing with Yodkaikaew .
Also note that Yodsanklai is 70-73 KG while Yodkaikaew is only 61 KG .
Dunno if it's true or not but it was probably when Yodsanklai was old and declining ( so last 5 years ) .
Still very impressive if true .
It's like if a prime 61 KG Thai guy manage to outclass 33-38 years old Buakaw Banchameck .

In the past Muay thai master always teach their students (Muay Thai boxer) to fight with people who stand to fight not people that fall on the ground or lay on the ground because it all about how to respect people who they fight with.
Yep, and the opponent must respect them by get up and keep fighting with 2 legs stand tall.

Probably because the strikes were mainly leg kicks - I'm sure if he'd been being knocked down like that by head strikes the fight would have been stopped much earlier (hopefully haha)

I see lots of comments regarding the referee and the corner not stopping the fight.... The other fighter could've stopped the fight himself anytime. Each opportunity he was given to stand up he took. He could've refused to stand and concede defeat, which he did not. He was punished for his foolishness, he chose to stand.
Fighters typically ignore the pain. It's what they are trained to do. The corner is there to advise and watch over their fighter. The referee is there to maintain the rules and protect the fighters when all other sources of common sense have gone to the pub: it was like the ref completely didn't care that Blue was getting subjected to serious injury for his lack of ability to protect himself or take to the offense. It was like all expectation was that Blue was getting paid to just stand there and get kicked.
I don't follow MMA, but this fight looks like a complete joke. Either the blue fighter completely tanked his prefight training and prep, or this fight never should have been put on: Blue was outclassed the entire time. It was painfully obvious that Blue was out of his league from very early on: I would hope that a ref wouldn't stand for such nonsense for so long.

Loved it but I'm surprised that the referee let Alex get up since it's a MMA match and imagine if they allowed elbow/knees standing and on the ground. Yodkaikaew would've ended it way faster if they allowed the rules like that.
