Before even watching it: congratulations that you started reading at all. 👏👏 You have a LONG journey ahead so even if I have an opinion about your books I won’t give it today. I have 30 years of experience in reading. That being said: there is one thing you should consider: reading is a skill too. Observe what you read and how. You read for fun always yet your skills to evaluate the subject in hand should evolve. (Like the enjoyment of prose, writing style, etc, even classical literature helps) As for Neil Gaiman’s books: all his books are totally different. If you watch a video of tier rankings of his art? Everyone makes different ones. 😂 American Gods had the awards… so? Sandman is a masterpiece in different ways. So on. Coroline is a YA work we can go on. What he can do is write in everything. As a recommendation: try Robin Hobb. Her Realm of the Elderlings is a character study masterclass. Farseer is how you write from first person. Lifeship Traders will show how she does in 3rd person. And of course it not a mistake we always recommend Joe Abercrombie too for similar reasons. His characters are fantastic too.
empress and dowry were two of my favorite reads and fourth wing was one of my most hated reads ever in existence. so ya, i'm subbing just on that alone 😊

There are a handful of book marriage candidates for me but "All Quiet on the Western Front" remains my top pick.

Powerful is a novella not the sequel to Powerless that’s why it’s smaller. The sequel, Reckless, doesn’t come out until July.
I agree with you on the placement of the divine rivals duology
They were good but they weren’t ✨great✨ (still loved them for what they were though)
The Hero of Ages is my favourite of the trilogy :)
