This is a great vid - thanks for posting. You make a good point about the different colors...I think I want to hold out for the hi-viz green. The price for the set seems to have come down to about $42 as of 11/2023.
That looks like a great addition to any toolbox especially like you said we usually lay the tools on the engine bay risking them from falling into the abyss. They should have at least had a magnet on the socket holders and for the price? Hopefully the quality makes up for it vs the $30 version.
Friend of mine has these, and another has the Amazon “version” and you can’t tell them apart at all minus branding in the trays. So I went ahead and got them on Amazon RIGHT before they went up in price 🤘
menards sells a 3-pack of these mats for normally $20.... But right now all 3 are clearance for $9.50 together. I can't believe Harbor Freight sells them individually and for SUCH a high price.
Great Review, thanks. The medium tray, your least favorite is on sale for 10$ for ITC members. Came here to get a real use look at it. Yeah the middle one sucks but I was thinking it could be a nice nuts and bolts tray when working in the engine bay. Its big for that and has different sections to sort the parts. You dont always have to have a magnetic tray that yanks all the nuts and bolts together. Then again, I've used small cardboard boxes for the nuts and bolts and they cost nothing. IF the big one goes on sale, I'll get that, it would be nice in the engine bay, Im always seeing a tool left somewhere as I close the hood.
Great review! I was thinking that id be nice to have a few magnetic sections also. Im thinking about cutting magnetic sign material to fit down in the part sections. In theory the magnetic sign cut and fitted down into the socket holes of the medium tray should help with the smaller sockets. Just not sure what adhesive/ glue would be best to secure the magnetic sheet to the silicone. Im thinking maybe shoe goo.
It is very hard to get anything to bond with silicone. Most of these mats that DO have magnets in them also have cutouts molded into the silicone. That way you stretch the "pocket" open and insert the magnet. Your Idea about fitting the magnets into the socket holders does work. Ive done the same to the Aocoom branded ones that I received, but on the bit holder.

Great review! Other video I seen the guy just show it empty and just flipped and talked about it. Thank you!

These are very useful but not that expensive. I bought a small one for 14 and a medium one for 20.
Where is the comparison video?

The 3-pc set is on sale today at Menards for $9.99
I'm here because of this clearance price, PLUS the 15% bag sale, so even cheaper now

Damn, you paid $80? I came from your review on the HF website and now all 3 are $42. With the ITC discount it's $29.40 for all 3.
Do I need a car for this? 🤔
