Its not toxic either unless you're talking about how a lot of fish stocks both farmed and wild have microplastics/mercury in them. Farmed fish is a good thing, we gotta do it more honestly. Yeah there are drawbacks around the immediate area of a farm, but literally the whole ecosystem is gonna be better off with em

And its not like a 1:1 output with what we take in from the environment vs what we produce. Yes its a lot to feed a big farm, but you arent trawling, setting hoop nets, etc. We may set some to catch the feeder fish, but we arent setting as many, meaning less harm to the environment overall. The wild populations arent as burdened and can bounce back or even rise

Garlic gives food a "smell" to both fish and shrimp that makes it very enticing for them as the commenter above said. This is true of fresh and saltwater inverts and shrimp, it makes fish go crazy for food. People commonly mix it with medicated food to make the fish more likely to eat. Hell, the fish med company Seachem even has a product called "garlic guard" or something that you mix with medicated food or just add to water as a preventative
