i miss mad dog with francesa.... still i'll listen to francesa solo because he's on the wfan and russo is in xirius radio ..... i wish they get back together in the future, but as we know things that there once was, never return ...
I grew up with Mike and the Mad Dog... after my dad used to listen to them. As a devout Yankees fan, it was hard listening to WFAN... but this show was just awesome. I loved this show and it will be missed dearly! Good luck to both gentlemen on their new endeavours.
seems like i'm in the minority of people who really didn't care for Russo and thinks that francessa is much better of on his own. i din;t like his voice. i got annoyed at his inability to pronounce the simplest of words and just found that his opinions really didn;t add much.
They were simply the best. Mad dog added a lot mike is an arrogant ahole and dog was kind and genuine. As much as I don't like mikes persona he is worth listening to right thru today. His podcast is great and only a half hour. Love dog on ESPN. The fan is awful now only Beningo and Tiki worth listening.
Contrary to popular belief Mike was the jerk in this relationship. Never giving Chris equal billing or time, nor giving Chris any control of venue or topic. Unless of course mike was away.

I cried when this show aired, I cried when Chris called Mike , I cried when Chris Dad called Mike , I cried when Mike retired and I cried like John Boehner when Chubby elbowed Carlin aside and returned to FAN this week. Tears were on my Pillow . How emotional ! Why did the birds keep on singing, why did the stars shine above, did they not know it was the end of da woild when Mike left Da Fan . Did Mike request all his listeners to swear allegiance to Him ?
Aikman, Elway and Montana have nothing to do w/ anything...they're old news...nobody said that Sanchez can't be better or wont be better..... u're missing the point and talking dumb
Mike Needs a Co-Host Already.. Steal someone away from ESPN that has energy like Stephen A Smith, or bring back Max Kellerman and put him with Mike.. It's funny tho, the few times that I've heard Sirius.. Russo sucks on his own too..
The best thing to happen was Dog leaving. How can you have a NY host not speak positively of NY teams? Always with the SF Giants....Finally. Mike Alone.

Sounds pretty heart felt to me. Grew up with them in Westchester. I had just moved back from Boston when he was testing jingles solo. Odd time
I still listen to them on the way home...just go back and forth between FAN and Mad Dog Radio on Satellite....not the same thought...

I love how Mike says he's going to put together a new program with some "new elements," but the show is EXACTLY the same in every way minus Mad Dog.

Francesa's voice sounds like another broadcaster who airs on Fox Sports. Not sure of his name.
