John, Have you ever done a video on an “Export Database” / “Import Database” tutorial for Multitracker? Im wanting to have handy a backup IPad for emergency use. I see the manual gives instructions, but I feel like it may be a bit cumbersome? Thank you again for another fabulous video. Really appreciate you taking the time to create these.

@@RobertBartko nice! I am going to do a quick update to that video soon because the backup process is so much easier with the USB C paradigm.

Another great video. It’s quite striking how we have come to many of the same conclusions including how important alleviating tech that can fail. If you ever have time, I would love a video on how to back-up and run MT from your back-up iPad. It’s not clear to me how to do it and, luckily, we have never had to try. Thanks again.

Thanks so much! It is fairly simple with an iPad with the USB C port. I will do a video on that shortly! Thanks!

That was very informative sir, I have a compact subwoofer Alto TX212S that has highpass 100hz, do you think iP300 can pair well them? I'm worried about the crossover interference/lag between 90hz iP300 n 100hz sub, any recomendations will help.

Hi magic, your sub would work well with these tops. The iP300s can easily facilitate crossover with the TX212s. The frequency response of the iP300s could easily crossover at 90 even 80 Hz, which is where I would put the crossover point (80Hz). Personally, I favor 90Hz.

You mention reliability issues with the lightning cable; my band has experienced this, running the iPad USB audio to our Mackie mixer, but we didn't use any adapters. Have you noticed lighting issues even when not using any adapters, just a lighting to USB B cable to the mixer? I ask because, since we've had issues, we now run old school, out of the LR of the Ipad into standard audio inputs of the mixer and it's proven to be more reliable.
However, this feels like a step backwards. Also, we've upgraded the tracks Ipad to a gen10 base model, which has USB C but no headphone jack! So now we're using a USB C to headphone adapter to run XLRs in to the mixer. Again, seems like a step back. Should we try to go back to running USB audio with the USB C now? Do you think it'll be more reliable than the lighting? I would like to return to the flexibility of the USB audio.

Absolutely!! USB C vs Lightning is night-and-day difference! Go back to using the audio interface. You will notice right away that there is no need to worry about drop outs. Even if you add a hub to go USB A to B and power the iPad externally it is solid. We just go USB C cable to USB B direct to the mixer and the iPad has enough battery life for a whole show. Just be sure to keep the iPad display on for the whole night, because if you let it sleep you may have to reboot the mixer and iPad. Just turn down the display brightness to about half and you can do a 4 hour show on one battery charge.

@@CaliforniaCreedence Ah! I think your comment about the display sleeping may have been our issue. The audio would stop coming through the USB audio input of the mixer and we'd have to reset the mixer to fix it. Big problem. That would actually explain the seemingly random nature of the issue; it could've been based on if the screen was locked or not between sets. However, the issue would actually occur while we were playing! Confusing, and a bit worrisome.

@@aaroncafaro2 Yes, truthfully, I used to feel the need to have the iPad powered for the whole show and breaks, but that is not necessary. Maybe turn down the display a little more during breaks and back up during performance. Just don’t turn it down too much LOL! With the advent of the USB-C, the iPad Headphone jack approach is obsolete and Multitracker backup and restore is effortless.
