Great little movie! Love how you explain everything. Also how many theologians have gathered in the comments, to give their brilliant thoughts and mind!
The birth of Mary marked the down of our salvation, It was the assurance of our redemption, she was the pledge, the beginning of the fulfillment of the promise of God Father to his all creation, because she bring Lord God Jesus christ
The whole point is believers already have a direct connection to Jesus. We don't need another believer or Saint or pope or any one. Only through Jesus can we come to the father. Catholic doctrine adds to scripture. Complete heresy. Intercession is only through Jesus. You could honor a tree because God made that too. What a bunch of straw this video adds up to.
@@gregorylatta8159 The bible tells us that God does not herar the prayers of the un-righteous, so therefore many times when we have sinned, we fall into the catagory of unrighteous and the help of a saintly person is beneficial. And yes, you can go directly to God, niy Jesus, like all kings, gives priority and special attention to his mother's requests first: ● 1 KINGS 2:20: Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother, for I will not refuse you.” (Jesus is the Greatest King and he also honours his mother's requests)
Excellent video. I am the RCIA person at our little church, and I try to share with my new brothers and sisters in the faith why we love Mary so much. God didn’t need Mary, He could have done everything Himself, but just as He chooses our earthly Moms and Dads to raise us and teach us about God and the faith when He could have done so directly Himself, so too He chooses a Heavenly Mother to help to bring us to Jesus, Our LORD and GOD. At the Wedding Feast at Cana, Jesus chose to obey His Mother, even though He said, It is not yet My time, Yes, we can go directly to the Holy Trinity without going through any intermediaries, but just as in daily living, we have those who are above us - our parents, grandparents, teachers, etc. who teach us to grow in love for God, similarly, God chooses Mary, the Angels, and the Saints to help us grow in love for our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. These are those who have gone before us, who learned from GOD Himself, these are the ones who are the “experts” on how to live constantly in the Presence of God. We do well to imitate these Holy Ones who are already in Heaven.
You said it "imitate" that is all you catholics can do in your carnal sin-nature . The diabolical catholic Mary doctrine is a stumbling block for all you that are so deceived and in bondage to religious rituals ! Father Son Holy Spirit are not religion and you can't go to the Father if you do not have Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord . @WeaponOfChoice did you answer I want to go to a church that tells me what to believe and I can ignore what God's word is written for ? I can then go beyond scripture and do things the early church would never dream of ?
Time 3:54 and following. I would like to ask a few questions or make a point or two about the account in 1 Kings chapter 2: 13-25. First point: Bathsheba’s request was denied or at least not answered. The result was the death of the petitioner Adonijah, Solomon’s older brother, who had already shown his bad intent while David was dying. This request was an affront to Solomon. Second: The petitioner was not just a ‘citizen’ or one of the people, but the elder brother of Solomon who possibly was in line to be the king ahead of Solomon. David himself overruled the high priest and the Army chief by declaring his son Solomon to be king. Third: The Whole of the New Testament centers around Jesus and Him Only. There is no hint of praying to someone else who in turn goes to Jesus. It is Jesus (God) alone and me. Fourth: As to the point about helping each other. It is clear from the passage in Kings that Bathsheba was not eager to help Adonijah with his petition to the king. Is Mary not eager to help those who petition her? There may be other Bible passages that prove your point but this one I think is not supporting you.
@WeaponOfChoice I would also beg to differ with you that Christianity relies on the Bible more than the Roman Catholic. Christ IS the center of the faith and also of the New Testament. Mary is hardly mentioned. That is why Protestant and fundamental Christianity disagrees with the Roman Church.
@WeaponOfChoice If we don't get our doctrine (teachings) from the Bible then we are subject to any idea that pops into some ones head. You forget that the 'one man' (i assume Luther) was holding to Scripture and pointed all persons to Jesus Christ not Mary or any other 'saint'. He among others (Calvin, Huss, Wycliff, etc.) all drew people back to the Bible as the source of faith not any church. Speaking of following a man, the apostles were men too. We must judge or measure all teaching in the church by the Bible so that we will not depart from the Truth (Jesus). When the Orthodox Church (and any other church) develops doctrines opposite to the Bible then we must ignore that church. I do realize that no church is perfectly aligned with the Bible but many churches do hold as closely as possible to it.
@WeaponOfChoice OK 1. Christians are not “required” to have a Bilbe but reading the Bible and understanding the Bible is encouraged by all the New Testament writers. The New Testament was written by and large to help persons understand their faith in Jesus. 2. The New Testament writers used the Old Testament Scriptures to prove who Jesus is and What the significance of His Sacrifice on the Cross is. FACT: Christians do need the Bible to strengthen their faith in Jesus and keep their ‘spiritual sense’ honed to discern good teaching and bad teaching. If we don’t have the Bible then what is the standard for accepting a teaching or rejecting a teaching. Here are a few verses to help you see the importance of the Bible: God speaking: Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Acts 17:11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so. 2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: Psalms 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path. 2 Peter 1:20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:21 For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
The old testament story cited as an example of 'royal succession' applies to the 'royal kingdom of God' as well? So God himself is patterning His 'royal succession' after what Kind David did? Yeah, I think not. This whole 'Queen Mother' thing presumes that God is taking an example from Man and not the other way around. I'll pray to God the Father in the manner in which Jesus taught us to do, thank you very much! - and it ain't just the 'our Father' prayer either.
What a crazy twisting of the truth. How do you Protestants do it? The linguistic and semantical gymnastics you go through to shield yourself from the truth . . . You must be exhausted.
People like old wine.People open a new Jesus coupled to Mary and saints etc. Do you know Christianity starts after the cross. From garden of Eden to cross is the salvation plan. God mage use of many for this purpose. Unfortunately we discuss about the actors and places and not about the fruits of redemption. Catholics and others keep on arguing the same. What is the use without coming to the truth.
Read the scriptures. Seek and you shall find. Knock and shall be opened. The answer is there. Think about Jesus dying and then resurrecting its physically humanly impossible. Why would it then be hard to believe Mary remained Virgin something less impossible and actually physically possible but many choose not to believe.

To the Reformers: How does Faith Alone saves you, when Faith is impossible to have as Jesus stated in Matthew 17:20, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
"How do I get saved?" "Only believe", said Jesus to the Centurion. "Your faith has made you well", said Jesus to the healed person. Many more examples. Maybe I should say that Good works are the result of one's faith. I'm saying what you are saying. Do you not realize that just saying you have faith, doesn't mean you do. That's why James says "show me your faith without works and I'll show you my faith thru my works". You can most definitely accept grace but that doesn't mean anything unless it is put into action, which results in good works. Jesus and Paul both tell us that we will have to give account based on our works. You accepted grace so what did you do with this grace to show that you truly accepted it? You can't just say I accept it and do nothing. Like you say......you get to do good works because you are saved and have the Holy Spirit in your spirit. But you have to do those good works. This statement " Dr. Ted Sri explains the role of Mary and the Saints in Catholic Theology. " Sums up everything you need to know when not finding the majority of this blasphemous discussion in scripture! roman Catholic theology does not base it's theology on scripture alone , it goes beyond God's word to bring you into the pagan beliefs adopted by the roman Catholic church. Acts 17:11 is an example of what we are to do not just blindly accept what any teacher says. Nowhere in 73 books of the bible does anyone ever pray to someone other than God , but the roman Catholic church tells you it is alright ? 73 books should be an example to us as to who we are to pray to.
Dr. Ted Sri explains the role of Mary and the Saints in Catholic Theology. Ahhhh roman Catholic theology that goes beyond scripture to dig up beliefs contrary to what God's word says to us! Jesus gave his mother Mary to us as our spiritual mother, and she intercedes for us in heaven before her Son. Two false concepts that are given to people as if they are true? Jesus gave His mother to John and John is not symbolic of anything but a believer and disciple of Jesus. There is not one verse in the entire bible that tells us that Mary will intercede for us. We go directly to God as there is no middleman to go through. John 14:6 excludes Mary , Heb 4:15.16 excludes Mary . Jesus died for us and forgave us of ALL of our sins and Mary's role was to bring the Lord into the world , raise Him up in the ways of the law till manhood at which point her role was over. Mary was the most blessed woman in all of history but her role as mother of Jesus was not extended beyond that. By growing in relationship with Mary-and the rest of the saints-we grow in fellowship with Christ. You will not find one verse in scripture pointing you to a relationship with Mary or the rest of the saints . What you do find is the entire new testament is about your relationship with the author and finisher of your faith, Jesus our redeemer.
One problem is that Solomon did not honour his mother's petition even after assuring her that he would not refuse her petition. Solomon was not a model king who would keep his words. But the idea of the queen mother is applicable to Mary whose petitions her Son Jesus would not dishonour.
Interesting but you can not provide one scripture to back up the concept that Mary has anything to do with petitioning her son or interceding on behalf of the saints / believers. 1 John 2:1
@@nplam4522 There is a great deal of difference between Mary the mother of Jesus saying to Jesus" pass the biscuits or we have run out of wine", and the Same Mary the mother of Jesus interceding on behalf of the saints . She could have prayed straight to Jesus herself, and I'm quite sure she did, but she asked her family and friends to pray for her also. This is no different from asking the Saints to pray for us. And, in the Bible, in Revelations, the Holy angels bring the prayers of the Saints to God.
@@bobloblawb2593 also, Solomon did grant his mother's request of allowing his brother to have the woman he wanted for a wife. But, as for the request to spare the life of his brother, it is a different story , but here is why. When we pray, as Jesus did in the garden, we pray , "but not my will, but your (God) will be done. Bathsheba, being simply a human, could not see into his heart when he begged for his life. Solomon, on the other hand could....from the wisdom given to him by God. His brother was still trying to kill him too. It was the will of Solomon to do what he had to do to protect himself. Mary, being in heaven, does indeed have the supernatural charisim to see into our hearts and Jesus trusts her. If she asks something of Him, He will not refuse her.
Interesting parallel to the Old Testament. But why wouldn't Jesus say anything about praying to Mary? I mean nothing about it in 32 years? Nor Paul, nor the disciples. Mary was no doubt a holy woman, but the Bible does not say anything about praying for her intercession.
@@user-wg5dm6oc3t YOU: The Bible does not always give direct...how to live the Christian life through the example of Biblical accounts. ME: Incorrect. Scripture is EXPLICIT on the nature of God and the process of salvation. The Christian life is also clearly explained. YOU: Mary interceded for the guests at the wedding feast of Cana. Therefore Mary can intercede for us before Christ. ME: Wait, wait, wait! Ha, ha. Mary explained to the guests that Jesus had the answers to a specific problem and you then leapfrog that into Mary's role in the salvation process? That is utter blasphemy. YOU: It was Mary who encouraged Jesus to perform his first miracle and thereby start his public ministry. ME: Mary did not encourage Jesus to do anything. Jesus acts of His own accord and even puts Mary in her place on two separate occasions in scripture. YOU: Mary was there at the very start...of His earthly ministry when He died on the cross. ME: So what does that mean? YOU: One of the last things Jesus did was... represents all of us, all of mankind.) ME: No, you have misinterpreted scripture. As Jesus hung on the cross, the Bible records that He spoke seven final statements. The third saying, recorded in John 19:26-27, expresses the Lord’s care and concern for His mother: “When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, ‘Woman, here is your son,’ and to the disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.” The unnamed disciple whom Jesus addressed was the apostle John himself. Despite His excruciating physical agony, Jesus was concerned about the welfare of His mother and the pain she was experiencing. With His thoughts on Mary’s future security and protection, Jesus entrusted her into the care of John, His beloved disciple. Most scholars believe Joseph, Mary’s husband, was already dead by this time. Traditionally, the oldest son in a Jewish family was duty-bound to provide for his mother’s care if she became a widow. By entrusting Mary to John’s care, Jesus was fulfilling His family responsibility as a devoted son. Typically, a dying son would commit his mother into the care of another member of his immediate family. In the case of Jesus, that would have been James, Jude, or another male sibling. But Jesus knew that none of His half-brothers were disciples yet-they had not accepted Christ’s claims or committed to His mission. Thus, Jesus most likely chose John out of profound spiritual concern for His mother. Even in death, Christ was focused on spiritual matters. With the words, “Woman, behold your son,” Jesus invited His mother to look to John, His much-loved disciple and friend, to be her son now. Jesus was departing from her, but John would take the Lord’s place in her life as much as was possible. John was the only apostle brave enough to take a stand with the women who had accompanied Jesus to the cross (Luke 23:49; Mark 15:40; John 19:25). The rest of Christ’s disciples had scattered, abandoning the Lord in fear (John 16:32). There is no disrespect in the Lord’s use of the title woman instead of mother. He had addressed her as “Woman” before (John 2:4). The address may sound disrespectful in English, but not in Greek. Woman was, in fact, “a highly respectful and affectionate mode of address." A symbolic meaning can be drawn from Jesus’s words “Woman, behold your son.” Establishing the family of God was at the heart of Christ’s mission and ministry. Through relationship with Jesus Christ, believers become members of a new family (John 1:12). As the Lord completed His earthly ministry, His words to Mary, “Woman, behold your son,” and to John, “Here is your mother,” were profoundly illustrative of God’s new family being born at the foot of the cross.
@@user-wg5dm6oc3t YOU: You say that Jesus puts Mary........Jesus would never disrespect his mother by ",putting her in her place". ME: To emphasize your deityship is not disrespecting anyone. Jesus made it clear on who He was and why He was here. YOU: Why was John called in scripture 'the one Jesus loved'. ME: Indeed, John referred to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” However, it does not mean that Jesus did not love the rest of the disciples. Instead, it was merely a title John used to refer to himself in his Gospel. He felt that he had a special place in Jesus’ heart. As such, the designation was his expression of God’s unconditional love that resonates so much in him. Moreover, you have learned some unpopular facts about John’s relationship with Jesus and John the Baptist. You have seen some of the miracles he had performed. Also, you have witnessed how much he contributed and gained Jesus’ trust as a disciple and apostle. As an author and evangelist, John has written five books in the New Testament. His Gospels, epistles, and apocalypse were unique in their structure and emblems. Reading them, you learn about the life of Jesus and the good news for His people. Finally, the story of John teaches you a valuable lesson about God’s love. Having emphasized it several times in his epistles and Gospel, it provides you some hope. @@user-wg5dm6oc3t The honoring of Mary as the Mother of God can be traced back to the Council of Ephesus in 431. By the 7th century, January 1st was observed as a celebration of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the 13th century, the Feast of the Circumcision of Christ had come to replace the feast honoring Mary. However, in 1751, Pope Benedict XIV allowed Portugal’s churches to devote a feast to Mary on the first Sunday in May. This was because of a push in Portugal for an official feast day celebrating Mary’s divine maternity. Eventually, the feast was expanded to include other countries. Odd that the early church had no concept of Mary being more than what the 20 verses in the new testament naming her , say? And how exactly do you plan on doing that??? Why not start with destroying the myth that you can have any scriptures without the Catholic Faith. There are no surviving original manuscripts of anything the Apostles wrote. You have obviously rejected the Truths of the Catholic Faith. The only way you can accept the first and only Bible is to accept ALL that the Catholic Faith teaches; which includes the things about Mary. Other than that you are left on your own, or someone like Luther, Tynsdale, Calvin, the authors of the KJV, etc. to tell you which of these 5000 writings are the inerrant word of God. And what authority do they have to do that????? NONE. So lets get rid of this first myth that anyone can have scripture outside of the Catholic Faith.

Paganism always have a father god, mother god, and a reincarnate son. Ancient Romans are pagan. Catholicism is from Rome. Adding Mary to their father god and son completes the formula of paganism. Not to mention the veneration of graven images and repetitive and memorized prayers(hail mary). All these are pagan/babylonian worship which is strictly prohibited by the Creator of Moses. Exodus 20:4-6 Matthew 6:5-8 Leviticus 26:1
And yet God specifically commands Israel to make what you would label as "graven images" in the building of the Ark of the Covenant, and Christ Himself gives us the Our Father as a model. The first part of your reply is just non-sense, so it's hard to reply.
Lewis Vine understand the commandment. The Creator said “do not make for yourself”! In other words, do not make for your personal use, for your organization, for your religion. The statue on the arc is instructed by the creator, it is not for personal use of Moses or anyone. See how they use and distort the commandment to fool and convert the world to Pagan/Babylonian? Non sense right? “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:5 KJV
Lewis Vine the our father can be used as a way of praying. First invoke the name and praise the father, then pray for what you need, then ask for forgiveness, then commit to forgive the people who hurt you then pray to him to give you strength to resist temptation. It doesn’t have to be verbatim. Nevertheless, the bible specifically said not to pray in vain repetition(like hail mary) Mat 6:7

Adoring and veneration to assumed apparitions of Mary. And so on and so on.
@@user-wg5dm6oc3t And who is Mary. She is the mother of Jesus. Yes she is. Jesus gave Mary to us to be our mother as he was dying on the cross when he said to John (John 'the one Jesus loves' because he represents all of us) behold your mother. This would be one of those teachings in the RCC that has no basis in scripture! Jesus gave Mary to mankind for a specific purpose to intercede and pray for us as any good mother would (as she did for the guests at the wedding feast of Cana). Again no basis in scripture to have Mary the mother of Jesus command Jesus . The the servants were told to do something, not Jesus . Why else would Jesus give Mary to us as our mother. See here is the assumption of what you were taught ,not from scripture but from somewhere else ,and of course believing that Jesus gave His mother to be the mother of the world you would say this. If Jesus gave His mother to John to care for her because the family of Jesus forsook him as mentioned in scripture then Jesus was honoring His mother and providing for her. So yes Catholics obey Jesus and take Mary as our mother and yes we have devotions to her and pray to her but we never adore or worship her. CCC 2679 tells us that you pray to Mary and yet there is no mention in all of scripture of anyone ever praying to anyone except God. Where/when did the Bible come from? Who decided on the books. Did the Bible say everything about the faith can be found in the Bible? How did Jesus instruct the disciples to spread his teachings?
@@nplam4522 2 Tim 3:15-17 sums up pretty clearly that everything to be thoroughly equipped is in the scriptures and at that time it was the old testament scriptures in question. The church being the pillar of faith does not mean that it is to evolve with new doctrines not based on scripture where all the other doctrines can be proved. The Holy Spirit decided on the books and spiritually minded believers compiled the scriptures into what we have as the bible.
Mary was chosen by God to be the earthly mother of Jesus & nothing more,no verse in the bible says we make Mary our mediator or intercessor to God,it's only Jesus who can be our way to reach God
We know what the Catholic Church has made up about Mary but what is the Biblical evidence that Mary intercedes for us in heaven? Clue: It doesn't exist.
During the time of our Jesus he was not accepted by the Jews, thats why they crucified our Jesus, for the Jews just our Papa GOD is enough and there is no need for Jesus. nowadays there are Christians that behave the same manner that there is no need for our mama Mary nor any of the Saints. we are one big family of our heavenly Father that is why we pray for each other and we ask each other to pray for us, we request our mama Mary and the Saints to pray for us, we term that as Communion of Saints, Communion of Love and co mission of all Christians. Amen !!!
Samuel Elena Girao-Say There is a problem with much that you have said in your comment. Now I'm not being a troll or am out here just to get you, but I am coming from a Biblical perspective. Your comment says that we must go, or pray, through the Saints and Mary to pray for us. There is a strong fundamental Biblical issue with this. 1 Timmothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus..." A mediator intercedes for us. What Timmothy is saying is very clear and when reading in its plain Greek literary context. Mary, and the Saints do not intercede on our behalf. Only Jesus does. Now I have watched, and talked to many Catholics. Many of them do not read the Bible, which is rather scary. When I asked for a Biblical situation to support the intercessory of Mary or the Saints, none came. I was then told "not everything is in the Bible." The hard part is when I researched the Bible, I found the Bible condemns that statement. “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!” Galatians 1:6-9 NIV Now I know that the Catholic Church doesn't use the NIV version, so I encourage you to use the Bible approved by the Vatican. But the message stays exactly the same. The other source comes from Jesus Himself. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Again, Jesus is the only way to the Father. Not mary, or the Saints. In short, the Bible says that praying to Mary or the Saints isn't what Jesus wants. You can believe anything you want. But I leave you with this for brain food. Sincerity of one's faith points nothing to it's validity.
Nick K: It is amazing how the catholic church has gone from Peter, supposedly their first pope, to praying to Mary and offering the Lord's supper as an unbloody sacrifice for sin. If Peter was still alive today he would be absolutely embarrassed and furious with the Catholic Church. The Catholic school I went to had a religion class and we read the bible, but when we were asked questions about the bible we always had to give the church's tradition answers and we had to quote the catechicism. Catholics use John 21:25 to support their traditions not realizing the danger they are putting themselves in on judgement day. Too much paganism crept into the catholic church and the church did nothing to prevent it.
Where in the Bible does it say that Mary intercedes for anyone in heaven? NOWHERE!! True Christians have only one intercessor, and that's Jesus. As Jesus himself said: "No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

@Leonardo's Truth 12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. So is this Mary or is this symbolic of something? Mary is not found in scripture anywhere that says she was adorned as such. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Revelation was written well after Jesus was born so is this Mary giving birth again? 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. Find a cross reference to Mary giving birth and the devil being next to her? 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. So If I recall correctly Jesus was 33 years old and not a child when He was rose to be with the Father . 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, Should be some evidence of this in other scriptures but there is not. where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. Again no cross reference. So what we have here is a symbolic use of WOMAN not Mary the mother of Jesus.
@Leonardo's Truth Mary is the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ . 20 verses in the new testament referring to Mary by name and status and not one of those references denotes her as being anything more that the Mother of Jesus her firstborn. BVM was BVM till she had other children by Joseph her husband . They are found in Matthew and Mark. The Catholic church has done it's best to convice the catholic lay person that the word brothers meant cousins as a BVM with sons and daughters just does not look good when you are bring into the church pagan goddesses to be the Queen of heaven. We honor Mary for who and what she was but we do not pray to or ask her to do anything as that is not her role . Nor is there any reference to Mary outside of being a mother, in all of scripture. Revelation is a prophetic book filled with symbolism and yes that certainly looks like Mary in Rev 12 if you have blurred vision and choose to ignore what is written. Was Jesus snatched up to heaven as a baby ? No? well just ignore that part and believe what you want as you have been taught. 1260 days in the wilderness and that's alright we can ignore that part too as it does not go along with what we were taught. Acts 17:11 Nah, you don't want to do that as you might start questioning your teachers.

So, you have all the answers? It's pretty ludicrous to think that the Catholic Church has had it all wrong for 2,000 years, especially with its members being taught by the apostles and their successors protected by the promise of Jesus Christ (John 16:13 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth...) Anyway, with a default picture like yours, Sir Jacko, I'm sure you know better than the apostles, their successors, 2,000 years of living tradition, and God Himself.
Michael English Well said. God bless you. You have truly heeded the Master's voice - Behold, your Mother! Without Mary, there could have been NO Jesus. Where Jesus IS, Mary IS.

@WeaponOfChoice Which is why I disagree with Roman Catholic teaching. It is unScriptural and therefore opposite to God's Will.
Here are a few verses to help you see the importance of the Bible:
God speaking: Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Acts 17:11
Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
2 Timothy 3:16
Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
Psalms 119:105
NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.
2 Peter 1:20
knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation.
2 Peter 1:21
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
@WeaponOfChoice It comes from reading the Bible. I trust the Bible before any man. It is God's Word to us.

No amount of works can save you or can be earned.
And those good works are what Jesus and Paul are saying that you will give account for.
Now if I didn't accept that grace, no amount of works will matter, no matter how good I am. Because I do not have the grace, I am not saved and my works are of myself and not of the Holy Spirit in me.

Sums up everything you need to know when not finding the majority of this blasphemous discussion in scripture! roman Catholic theology does not base it's theology on scripture alone , it goes beyond God's word to bring you into the pagan beliefs adopted by the roman Catholic church.

1 John 2:1
@@bobloblawb2593 Have you read the Bible story - The Wedding at Cana?

@@bobloblawb2593 have you ever asked someone to pray for you????
My friend asked me to pray for her because she was having surgery. I prayed for her health and for her surgery and for her healing. Therefore, I was interceding for her. I was praying to God on her behalf. My prayers were not for me, I was not the one who was sick .

YOU: One of the last things Jesus did was... represents all of us, all of mankind.)
ME: No, you have misinterpreted scripture.
Woman was, in fact, “a highly respectful and affectionate mode of address."
A symbolic meaning can be drawn from Jesus’s words “Woman, behold your son.” Establishing the family of God was at the heart of Christ’s mission and ministry.
YOU: What's the Protestant explanation for this.
ME: I don't know. You should ask a Protestant that question also.
YOU: Jesus was not making earthly arrangements for Mary when he was dying on the.... he said to John 'behold your mother' .
ME: Of course He was.
YOU: The arrangements for Mary after Jesus death would have been thought of and discussed long before His crucification.
ME: You don't know this. Go by what scripture SAYS, not what it doesn't say.
YOU: He was giving Mary to the world to be our heavenly mother.
ME: There you go with ADDING to the Bible again. No verse says that Mary is going to be our worldly mother....NOTHING states that. That is a blasphemous statement you made.
YOU: If Jesus did have siblings, which he didn't,
ME: The Bible CLEARLY states that Jesus had siblings. The original Greek manuscripts support these interpretations. You have twisted scripture to fit your theology.
YOU: Jesus would never have asked somebody outside of the family to take Mary into their home.
ME: While I agree on paper, Scripture does not give clear indication of what happened to these children. You are assuming theology based on the ABSENCE of it, not what God's word actually states.
YOU: He would never have disrespected his mother in this way.
ME: That is an assumption on your part that it would be considered disrespectful.
YOU: Mary was known as woman because she is the ... are referred to as woman in the Bible.
ME: Nowhere is scripture is Mary stated as the "new Eve." That is a a demonic theology taught by a false church under Mary worship, and you have bought into it.

In the 13th century, the Feast of the Circumcision of Christ had come to replace the feast honoring Mary.
Exodus 20:4-6
Matthew 6:5-8
Leviticus 26:1
And yet God specifically commands Israel to make what you would label as "graven images" in the building of the Ark of the Covenant, and Christ Himself gives us the Our Father as a model. The first part of your reply is just non-sense, so it's hard to reply.

----Why do Catholics worship Mary instead of Jesus?
The Catholic Church teaches that Mary is the Mother of God, that she is to be venerated as the Mother of God, and that she intercedes for us to secure our salvation. This is why Catholics love and respect her and pray to her as the Mother of God. Mary acts as the true mediator between God and humanity.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church, in paragraphs 721-726, claims that Mary is the first dwelling-place of God in salvation history. As such, she is the masterwork of God and the start of God bringing mankind into communion with Jesus.
----People also ask
Do Catholics worship Mary catechism?
No, this is not true. Catholics honor (or venerate) the Blessed Mother; they do not worship her. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (the official teaching of the Church) teaches that worship (or adoration) is meant for God alone.
---WRONG--I suggest you look up the definition of "venerate"... means to WORSHIP!!!
****--WIKIPEDIA----The veneration of Mary, mother of Jesus, in the Catholic Church encompasses various devotions which include prayer, pious acts, visual arts, poetry, and music devoted to the her.[1][2] Popes have encouraged it, while also taking steps to reform some manifestations of it.[note 1] The Holy See has insisted on the importance of distinguishing "true from false devotion, and authentic doctrine from its deformations by excess or defect".[3] There are significantly more titles, feasts, and venerative Marian practices among Roman Catholics than in other Western Christian traditions.[4] The term hyperdulia indicates the special veneration due to Mary, greater than the ordinary dulia for other saints, but utterly unlike the latria due only to God.

Roman Catholic views of the Virgin Mary as refuge and advocate of sinners, protector from dangers and powerful intercessor with her Son, Jesus are expressed in prayers, artistic depictions, theology, and popular and devotional writings, as well as in the use of religious articles and images.[39][40] The earliest known prayer to Mary, the Sub tuum praesidium, ("Under your protection") dates from about the 3rd century.[41]

I suggest you look up the meaning of venerate.
Venerate comes from the Latin root venerārī, which has the various meanings of "to solicit the good will of," "to worship," "to pay homage to," and "to hold in awe." That root is related to Venus, which, as a proper noun, is the name of the Roman goddess of love and beauty.

There is a problem with much that you have said in your comment. Now I'm not being a troll or am out here just to get you, but I am coming from a Biblical perspective.
Your comment says that we must go, or pray, through the Saints and Mary to pray for us. There is a strong fundamental Biblical issue with this.
1 Timmothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus..."
A mediator intercedes for us.
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”
Galatians 1:6-9 NIV
Now I know that the Catholic Church doesn't use the NIV version, so I encourage you to use the Bible approved by the Vatican. But the message stays exactly the same.
The other source comes from Jesus Himself.
John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
Nick K:
It is amazing how the catholic church has gone from Peter, supposedly their first pope, to praying to Mary and offering the Lord's supper as an unbloody sacrifice for sin.

6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God,
Should be some evidence of this in other scriptures but there is not.
where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
