Having had 3 meeting with Elon during my time working for him, I can totally understand why James Clayton completely crumbled during this interview, Elon is at a different level to most people and you need to have lots of facts and figures to back up any ideas.

He knew he was licked but he had every intention of ripping Musk off in the process. He also knew that Musk is almost certainly a human lie detector who can read deception in subtle facial expressions and body language. He well knew that he was going to lose an interrogation so he just impersonally railroaded Musk into an unnecessarily costly contract. If he had handled the relationship any differently whatsoever, he would've inevitably reached the same outcome except with more favorable terms for Musk and less favorable for Twitter.

I don’t owe a thing to Elon but I think that in this specific case the BBC has gone beyond. For example 1 or 2 years ago a car manufacturer was going to lay down A LOT of workers and I didn’t see the BBC there asking questions, the focus was in what was the government going to do. They decided to pay the company in order for them not to go and the media let the thing leave. From my point of view that is wrong and the government should have used that money for educating the workers in another task that the country needed rather than giving away money. The company said CLEARLY that they will go later on, so the problem is not solved The media doesn’t cover those things or doesn’t put weight in the massive amounts of money they are giving to the banks right now, you have to search for it, it is not a headline, like this is and I think that it affects to more people

About the employees being sacked, you also ommitted that they did receive 3 months severance package and some much more. More than most people got during covid or all the layoffs that followed that time .

About the employees being sacked, you also ommitted that they did receive 3 months severance package and some much more. More than most people got during covid or all the layoffs that followed that time .

He agreed to buy it at that price and a lot of the reasons he gave for wanting to buy it, suddenly became the reasons he didn't want to buy it and for some reason, the 'business genius', didn't know how contracts work or have advisors that could come up with a realistic legal reason to back out.
But perhaps he has a sense of what it must be like to have stocks in Tesla. All those people who got suckered into buying comically overvalued shares, except those people willingly bought shares.
Hopefully all these lawsuits might finally be the end.
