    • @VoodooCosmonaut

      @@VoodooCosmonaut what that mean?
      Artists get inspiration from other artistic expressions... but after this step they create their own style.
      It's a natural process.

    • @Necesitoelcatandeluxe
      @Necesitoelcatandeluxe หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      That made me feel sad. Tim is a dedicated person who puts his whole self into his work. Using AI to replicate his style feels like playing with something that doesn’t belong to them. His style goes beyond just visual features, like dark palettes or eccentric designs; it’s his interpretation of the world, the medium he uses to express himself. I know AI is something we have to adapt to, and there’s no point in fighting it. But I hope that, with what Tim said, people understand that the artist isn’t selfish. Art is an extension of one’s soul.

    “I felt like my soul had been taken from me.”
    Those quotes are probably the best way to describe AI. As an artist AI terrifies me and makes me very depressed but people who use AI are generally not artists, and not people who understand what it’s like to put that much effort and love into creating something, so they can’t possibly understand what it feels like to have that ripped away from you and have your creations and artistic identity stolen and contorted into all sorts of different things that you didn’t create. It’s a horrible feeling.

    What I'm sorry to see with how things have evolved is how people who are known to express themselves very like... not extreme, but in a way that makes us react, but in a constructive way, are given less space. We see it in all pop culture. From movies, shows and with gaming. Innovative ideas and people are pushed aside to make something that's only made for profit.
    Like, that's it. The mainstream now is just too safe, yeah? No one dares or is allowed to try and make some sparks. We have allowed the mainstream to be a place where controversy isn't allowed, which ironically just made everything and everyone controversial because nothing is allowed
    We don't have as many who dare to push boundaries in artsy ways. You know... We don't really make art anymore. We just make stuff.
    That's why i'm glad we still have ppl like Tim Burton around. People that don't give a damn, and just push their way through. I hope they never let themselves be bogged down.
    Cause they still have a huge audience out there that is starving, and waiting for something good to eat.

    He’s certainly not alone…so many times when I myself have gone online searching for answers to questions causing me anxiety and depression, and the answers I get make me even more anxious and depressed because they’re always so overly negative and pessimistic, and it’s all so downputting when I’m trying to find answers that are more uplifting and inspiring, but people online seem to get high on piss and vinegar pessimism. It’s just too much, man

    Tim is really cool !!! I remember when I saw "Beetlejuice" in a theater when I was a teenager and I became instantly fan of his universe, his vision :) My favorite among his films are "Edward Scissorhands", "Ed Wood" (so underrated !!!), "Sweeney Todd" and "Dark Shadows" :) For the last years he made choices I have difficulty to understand (for instance going back to Disney for another version of "Dumbo" after all that he said about them in the beginning of his career !!) but he is still a master, a true artist, one of the very few of the end of 20th and now the 21 th century who has truly influenced almost all the pop culture !!! There have been countless "Burton like" films, series (and sometimes really soooooo poor in quality when you think of their great models !!!), but he is UNIQUE :) And by the way, LOVE his voice !!! He has a terrific voice in this inteview, no ??? He could make a character who would have his voice, that would be cool (I mean, maybe he did that but I think he did not) !! Anyway LOVE TIM BURTON ! Greetings from France :)

    I had the pleasure of seeing Tim work in real time. It was the post production mix at the film center I worked at in Berkeley ca. He was hanging out with Johnny Depp at the time or visa versa. And he struck me as intensely invested in his ideas. Including the sound. Very hands on. The only other director who was more hands on was David Lynch. I’m sure they would get along well.

    The internet has given us a wonderful view into the world of how people real feel about everything, including each other. It's a window into thenhidden realm of the human psyche. People should cherish the truth about what we've learned about humanity. The truth is more important than bs.

    Imagine being weird and sad on purpose as your gimmick then blaming the internet for making you sad.
