- Air India Boeing 747 last flight from Mumbai Airport with a 'Wing Wave' | Air India 747 last flight
Air India bids farewell to its legendary Boeing 747 aircraft, known as the 'Queen of the Skies,' as it departs from Mumbai (BOM) on its final flight to the Plainfield (PAE) in USA. The iconic plane, which served the airline for almost five decades, operated various important flights, including medical evacuations and VVIP flights. Sharing a video clip of the Boeing 747 taking off from the Mumbai airport and doing a 'wing wave.' The airline's staff and the spotters gathered to wave goodbye to the Indian Queen of Skies. The 'wing wave' maneuver, banking its wings up and down and bidding a final goodbye was performed, signifying the end of an era for Air India's Boeing 747.
Air India sold its last remaining four Boeing 747-400s to Aersale, a US company which deals in aged commercial jets. The jumbo, VT-EVA, named ‘Agra’, was the first of the four jets to depart. The aircraft's last commercial flight took place in March 2021 on a domestic route, after which it was retired from active service. Since then, it has been parked at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, awaiting its final journey. As it embarks on its final journey to the US, the Boeing 747 leaves behind a rich legacy that will be cherished by aviation enthusiasts for years to come.
You will be dearly missed Queen !!

I think something got in my eye. 😢 I'm not an Indian national but this felt like the 747 had a soul when it took off from that runway, never to be seen again, and never to be heard again. Her last goodbye manuevre was bittersweet.
❤❤❤
Witnessed the arrival of EMPEROR ASHOKA, flew on the KANISHKA just about six months before it disappeared into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Ireland. Seen several landing approaches with landing lights on, on top of Sarvodaya Hospital Ghatgopar. The take brought several fond memories and sense of gratitude to the Divine and a sense of melancholy to see the end of the era of this Majestic Aircraft.
You will always be remembered 😢 ❤ Queen Of The Skys
Bye Bye ..Beautiful . Indian sky will always miss you 😢
The passengers in the akasa airlines flight are very fortunate to witness this
only if they are aware of it
Very emotinal farewell...
True.. The Queen of Skies will be dearly missed !! 😘
i m in tears😢 literaly
Legends never die. Farewell to the queen of the skies!
I remember travelling as a young boy in 1971 on an Air India 747 from Mumbai to New York. No doubt, the best aeroplane ever built.
The pilots waving was a very kind gesture ❤
its their tradition of waving wings when they got retirement
Goodbye Jumbo !
We are proud of you and will always be.❤
Thanks Boeing for making such magical machines.
It brought tears to my eyes when pilots did the wing wave. You'll be missed queen of the skies
We miss you air india queen
You r not machine but you r family member
Allways miss you air india queen😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Many many years back, Air India acquired its first Boeing 747 and named it Emperor Ashoka. This was the migration period of the airlines from its iconic Boeing 707 to the then largest aircraft. I did get to travel on a 'proving flight' and subsequently on a long distance travel. The interiors captured the essence of royalty and the airlines got to build on its strong global standing with 4 aircraft of this category, initially. To this day, one can see a picture of the Air India hostess, alongside her peer group from many global airlines and in front of a 747 aircraft, at the Boeing museum in DC. Life moves on...
I had flown on few of Air India's 747s...Tanjore, Ajanta, Agra, Velha Goa to name a few. All my flights were on domestic sectors BOM-DEL, BOM-HYD and HYD-BOM only. I will miss the 747 forever! This video was very emotional.
Greetings from Jundiai, Brazil.
I wish all these 747s were preserved anywhere in the world. Storing and preserving such a giant aircraft is a very hard task. The reasons are many: lack of enough space, disassembling and assembling at a new place is very costly, the logistics to transport its separated parts is very hard, contracting skillful professionals disassembling and assembling the plane is expensive, and so on. Unfortunately, scrapping a retired 747 is much faster, easier and cheaper. That's sad, though 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
Serving for 5 decade is not a joke. And You ruled and nailed it Queen 👸 and yes you will always be remembered forever...❤❤❤
Bid Adieu to the Majestic #Airindiaboeing747 🇮🇳❤️🔥💐
Timeless design and most captivating aircraft since it's inception. No modern aircraft today holds so much attention as 747
We'll miss you "queen of skies" ❤❤She was and will always be the queen of skies and the iconic beauty❤❤
Good bye my lovers, good bye my friends! Got goose bumps watching this video (wish I could have seen the last flight in person)... An end of an era... It's the same feeling when Concord flew for the last time.
This is where men cry :')
You're right...
❤
Miss you queen 👑😢😢
I acidentaly saw this plane... never knew it was special!
It left me teary eyed.
747 will comeback oneday. Such a beautiful wonder, can't be stopped forever.
Never felt so bad before... Watching this incredible masterpiece taking off for one last time, bought tears in my eyes 😭... Sapna Adhura reh gaya B747 mein udaan bharne ka 😌.
Ye gya kiyun apne desh se
@@Userd40077 Time aa gaya tha bhai, age kaafi ho gyi thi aircraft ki plus air india ne new generation ke boeings aur airbus aircraft acquire kar liye hain to purani fleet sell kar rahe hain ab.
Thank you very much for this post ... I honestly don't know... But I felt so very emotional...
And that wing wave was so regal yet kind of heartbreaking... Truly you were the queen of the skies.. Bye bye darling..
What a beauty, it is sad to see the Queen go from the Air India fleet. Nice shot of this takeoff and impressive wing wave!
True will miss the Queen.. Thanks a lot mate
Indeed an end of a glorious era. We will really miss you Queen. My family has flown on international flights with you and have never ever regretted it. The hospitality and just that you are the Queen in the skies. You will be truly missed. The royal interiors and the huge plane made the journey a welcome experience.
Good bye Queen. You will be missed🤗😍😢
To Boeing 747, you will always be missed Queen of the skies..
Farewell buddy 🤜🏽🤛🏽 thanks for your service.
Wing Wave Maneuver by Pilot to say good bye..❤
So sad to see the Jumbo Jet leaving passenger service everywhere 😢.
I remember seeing this when i waw like a kid and made me rethink how big and makestic planes are at that time
Our glory of the Queen of the skies never returns. We hope to see you in the skies!
literally getting goosebumps watching this
Superb farewell Air India 747
Godspeed my Queen
Our Queen 😢
Beautiful capturing ❤
Used to be an everyday thing now something rare, special & precious. Au revoir Indian Queen.
Yess!! To see 747 in SKY is different from any other plane, It has the BEST Vibe Ever!!!
I never travel through the plane but it makes me emotional, goodbye to the queen of the skies ❤
Very emotional 😢😢😢for sky queen😢😢
Great Moment. It was the AI 747 Jumbo that I flew to my maiden trip to London almost 2 decades ago. It will always bre a great jet and it will live forever in the hearts of everyone.
Au Revoir !
The queen of the sky bid a poignant farewell with a graceful wing wave, a sight that never fails to stir the hearts of aviation enthusiasts. Each time this poignant gesture fills the sky, not just myself but all those who cherish the beauty of flight feel a wave of emotion. As she climbed higher into the infinite blue, she seemed to be bidding a personal goodbye to all those who hold a special place in their hearts for her. Her elegance in that moment captured the essence of her being, etching a memory that will forever remain a cherished part of aviation history.
Once in my life I had a desire to travel in this Queen of the sky, which will not be fulfilled.
Firstly when I was a kid and whenever I used to see up in the skies that red and white color used to make me feel soo happy but unfortunately when Air India boeing 747 was in red paint I never got a chance to sit in it and even after soo many years later when Air India boeing 747 was painted again with a new orange color design even though I didn't got a chance to sit in that beautiful aircraft I never ever got a chance to sit in boeing 747 and even that though Air India but those who got the opportunity to travel with such a beautiful aircraft I will just say this that once someone knows the taste of sweet fruit for e.g strawberry they will never keep them in their hearts forever because they know how it tastes and they are used to it and could be looking for something new but in other way if someone who would never ever got a chance to taste strawberry will always value them and always keep them in their hearts ......... MISS YOU MY KING OF SKIES AIR - INDIA BOEING 747 - 400 .......... I SALUTE YOU FOR THE VERY LAST TIME .......... 😐🙏✋👍❤💖 you will be in my heart till my last breath ..........
🥺😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Great journey of the QUEEN OF SKIES
No other aircraft got these amazing looks. Awesome plane .. 747 was really amazing
😢 I had the pleasure and privilege to fly on this plane in the executive class. It was a dream experience!
You will be always remembered in the Indian hearts 🥺❤️❤️ and we wish a better version and a new version of BOEING 747 will come like INS VIKRANT jai hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
I spent one hour in Vikrant in 1981 Bombay and flight with 747 on Jan 30th 1997 Delhi to Frankfurt Germany.
Travelled twice in Emperor Vikramaditya. This 747 caught fire on the ground at the Delhi airport in 1990 and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. Sayonara Queen of the Skies, carry a lot of memories with you.
I miss that flight ✈️😢
What an incredible video man! Sad to see the lady go! Liked!

It was a dream of me to travel on Boeing 747 from childhood from 70’s but when I finally got chance travel to US recently I thought finally I’m going to fulfill my desire but to my disappointment it happened to be Boeing 777 and my desire going to be unfulfilled forever.
Lots of memories are gone from India , I still remember when I saw it inside hangar getting ready for Honorable PM Mr Narendra Modi
You gotta love these Indians cheering for a 747❤
4:58 where all men cried
I flew in one called Kanishk, I think in 1973. They were new and called Jumbo airplanes. 😊
I miss you 747
Air India needs some airbus a 380
I have travelled in this in 2016 ahmedabad - mumbai - new york...😢
Was my fav flight
Will miss u to the moon
Very beautifully taken.Hats off to you Jemi.👍👍🙏💓
Thanks a lot 😊
A memorable flight. Very Awesome video.👍👍❤️🙏💐
Many thanks
❤❤ Sky Queen❤
I was lucky to have sat in the upper-deck business class BOM > CDG > JFK back in 2006 when I moved to US. Thanks Dad! (he paid for it). Food was awesome, Service was about average, but poor when you compare with Qatar / Emirates / Air France etc. - but 20yrs ago, I didn't particularly care for onboard service :)
When its time to go, its time to go. A350-900/1000 & B999X it is currently. I don't think Air India will ever get a A380 - its not the most efficient plane either.
Miss you 😢
Miss you
