They did it again to you, didn't they?! 😂😂😂 And they keep on doing this every day all over the world for fifty years already!💓 You made my week! Thank you!
Every abba reaction you do is as good as new. And pillow dance always inspired there. Something to look at some time here might be Agnetha album redo and new song last week. Thank for another fun abba reaction.
One of ABBA’s more complex songs with all the tempo and music changes. Just part of their charm. And by the way, if you haven’t heard, Agnetha has a new song that just came out called Where Do We Go From Here. I’m not too fond of today’s ‘music’, but she pulls it off pretty good. Give it a listen!
@@MarioDruet It is and it isn’t. Harmonically and melodically it’s fairly straight forward stuff. But the arrangement and the various parts played by the session musicians are all complex stuff you don’t hear in your typical pop song, not the least rhythmically. Still, it depends on what you’re comparing it to, doesn't it? Next to avantgarde music there’s not much new under the sun here, but next to contemporary pop music it’s an artful little miracle of a symphony. Regardless, ABBA are renowned for the depth and complexity of their arrangements. Ask anyone involved with the Mama Mia franchise how difficult it is to reproduce those songs in a way that’s true to the originals.
"As good as new" (1979) is the opening track of the album "Voulez Vous" and it is one of my favorites from the album (8/9pts) it has a surprising opening with strings reminiscent of classical music, to move to a constant danceable rhythm, Agnetha's voice fine and powerful and that "Ma ma ma ma ma ma..." outstanding (i believe is unique in ABBA songs) and then a beautiful pre-choir and pure choir together with Frida ABBA's trademark with their magical 'Third Voice' and an ending as abrupt as it is great a little more than three minutes of concrete music prettier to listen than to dance and that is what I value the most (it seems that Agnetha's voice suits the disco rhythm very well in fact at the current 'Voyage Concerts' in London of the four songs in the 'disco section' two are with Agnetha on lead vocals even if they are not from this album) "As good as new" paradoxically it is one of the most underrated songs on the album "Voulez Vous" It was only performed live on the 1979 tour of North America and Europe, which ended in Japan in 1980. It does not have an official video, although a fan made one with images showing ABBA during the trip in the United States and it was released as a single in very few countries, but coincidentally one of them was Argentina Thanks again for your fantastic reaction I wish you a great week see in the next track my best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America
Hi and great react Brooklyn! 👌 This is another hidden gem of ABBA... a mix between the most classic (with Benny's admiration) and the most modern for that time (closer to Björn). Frida❤️ contributing in the choirs and Agnetha is magnificent in the lead voice... by the way... Agnetha released a new song this week: "Where we go from here". take care, BBoy ❤️🇨🇱👍
I love this song - one of my favourites from the Voulez-Vous album . Great mix of disco and classical ; thanks for the reaction. This has cheered me up !
Oh my God you are so funny😅 so glad you are discovering Abba me being a superfan I always thought this was an amazing song and should have been a single check out swedish group alcazar they do a cover version of this for an ABBA tribute it's excellent version
Everytime i play this song it sounds as fresh as the first time i heard t. Yes i know there are the great singles like Voulez Vous and Chiquitta but this has always been my favourite song on this album. Got to say your reactions are a total joy and your love for this amazing band so genuine. I love it
The boys went to Bahamas and Miami to work on the album, find inspiration and work with some Cuban American musicians on this album... and you can really hear that influence. I love it.
Hi Brlyn: I was sure you would love this song when I recommended it. Looks like you would be ecstatic if you could get an inflatable Frida to replace your pillow 😂😅.
@Bklynreau LOL. Are you familiar with Holodeck Technology from Star Trek? Holographic flesh and blood humans you could create within a controlled room space with other holographic surroundings. If you lived in that universe, I know for certain what type of hologram you would create for yourself. 😅😂
This whole album is brilliant around that time blondie brought out eat to the beat I love both of these records although ABBA's voices are better you need to the clip of ABBA doing dancing queen for the Swedish royal family in powdered wigs and ball gowns
I've learned when you pull out the pillow, you're really serious about the ABBA song. Why don't you go ahead and put a brunette wig on top of that pillow? I bet you do when you're not making a video. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Agnetha knocks this out of the park.
They did it again to you, didn't they?! 😂😂😂 And they keep on doing this every day all over the world for fifty years already!💓
You made my week! Thank you!
yea they did!!😂😂 u welcome
I love this song, underrated and could’ve been a single back in the day 😍🤩👏

Another masterpiece 🔥🙏
"As good as new" (1979)

and it is one of my favorites from the album (8/9pts)
it has a surprising opening
with strings reminiscent of classical music,
to move to a constant danceable rhythm,
Agnetha's voice fine and powerful
and that "Ma ma ma ma ma ma..." outstanding
(i believe is unique in ABBA songs)
and then a beautiful pre-choir and pure choir together with Frida
ABBA's trademark with their magical 'Third Voice'
and an ending as abrupt as it is great
a little more than three minutes of concrete music
prettier to listen than to dance
and that is what I value the most
(it seems that Agnetha's voice suits the disco rhythm very well
in fact at the current 'Voyage Concerts' in London
of the four songs in the 'disco section'
two are with Agnetha on lead vocals
even if they are not from this album)
"As good as new"
paradoxically it is one of the most underrated songs on the album "Voulez Vous"

my best regards from

Love from 56-year-old Swedish man ❤

i been thining about a way to make her the pillow😂😂

I don't know if I want your drugs or not, but I like your little dance with the pillow. 😄
The next song? King Kong Song?
But my girl Agnetha takes the lead on As Good As New.
