Abba is amazing. Pure genius. Their songs take you on a musical journey like no other. Thanks for your videos. You bring a different dimension to reactions.
Definitely my most "feel good" song! I have not ever commented but ... respect to you SIR! Never has there or ever will there be a band with so much MAGIC!
I love this killer bass and Agnetha's 'Ma!ma!ma!ma!maaa life is here!/gooootta have you neeear" so funky and so sexy, not to mention the strings intro.I suspect Madonna adopted the idea for her 1986 'Papa don't preach' track strings intro too.Just thinking.
“My life is here, gotta have you near” says it all doesn’t it. Classical funk brought to you by the brilliant ABBA. You think you’ve heard everything they’ve got and here comes a song like this. Incredible band pure and simple. Thanks Matt. 👍

A really great opener on Voulez-Vous! And I really think this is one - of many - really great album tracks, that also could have been an A-side single and a big hit! ABBA had/have so many tracks, that have this high pop quality. Great production, great vocals from Agnetha ( Anietta ) and flawless harmonies from Frida! ( Anni-Frid ) This album includes both disco, ballads rock and funky songs - so again, a very diverse album. It was my very first vinyl album that I bought as a 14 year old! My parents gave me a record player in april 1979 at my confirmation - and I was over the moon and heard it over and over again! Now it is not one of my top favourite ABBA albums, but that is just because they made so many good ones - so still very good! But one thing I like about Voulez-Vous is that the sound and production is so clear and sharp. Enjoy yet another great ABBA album, Matt!
Great opener, love the strings, the bass, with Agnetha in a very vibrant vocal performance and her solo delivery in full accelaration on the lead.I also like the cool lyrics, especially hearing her singing 'i'll never know, why i had to go,why i had to put up such a lousy rotten show'/ 'boy i was tough, packing all ma stuff, say i don't need you anymore,i've had enough'/Feel like a creep, never felt so cheap, never had a notion that ma love could be so deep/,how could i make, such a dumb mistake, now i know i'm not entitled to another break" and all the 'ma,ma,ma's ,ha!ha!that's it ma girl!

'An(g)yeta'.I love her vocals here being in full power, sounding more 'demanding','confident' and her voice possibly more stretched than ever since that high note in 'Hole in your soul' 2 years back.
"As good as new" (1979) is the opening track of the album "Voulez Vous" and it is one of my favorites from the album (8pts) it has a surprising opening with strings reminiscent of classical music, to move to a constant danceable rhythm, Agnetha's voice fine and powerful and that "Ma ma ma ma ma ma..." outstanding (i believe is unique in ABBA songs) and then a beautiful pre-choir and pure choir together with Frida ABBA's trademark with their magical 'Third Voice' and an ending as abrupt as it is great a little more than three minutes of concrete music prettier to listen than to dance and that is what I value the most (it seems that Agnetha's voice suits the disco rhythm very well in fact at the current 'Voyage Concerts' in London of the four songs in the 'disco section' two are with Agnetha on lead vocals even if they are not from this album) "As good as new" paradoxically it is one of the most underrated songs on the album "Voulez Vous" It was only performed live on the 1979 tour of North America and Europe, which ended in Japan in 1980. Minor nitpick, it's disco. Funk adjacent, but not funk.
Yes, it`s funky alright. Very strong vocals by Agnetha, too.
It's a disco classical but very fast pace song
Great opening dance track to the album and some great vocals from Agnetha.
I was waiting for the confirmation, to post
A new brand, but triple, on the same day
Yes, three ABBA songs reached 1000 views in the same day:
"Money money money"
"Thanks for the music"
"lAs good as new"
But the most notable is this last one, "As good as new",
it achieved it in only 7 days, in a phenomenon similar to that of "Eagle"
I am noticing a very interesting fact:
the opening songs of the ABBA albums are the most viewed
(the rare exception being the two ABBA mega hits:
Waterloo and Mamma Mia)
The Top10 of the most viewed ABBA now remains:
S.O.S.
Knowing me knowing you
Ring Ring
Eagle
When I kissed the teacher
That's me
I've been waiting for you
As good as new
Money money money
Thank you for the music
And within all your musical reactions, ABBA's positioning looks like this:
5) S.O.S.
7) Knowing me knowing you
8) ring ring
10) Eagle
16) When I kissed the teacher
20) That's me
(one in Top5, four in Top10, six in Top20,
and more growing from below)
The companion to this is Angel Eyes, one of their best.
There are new statistics in the ABBA playlist
The self-titled album ABBA also exceeded 10,000 cumulative views,
it is the fourth behind “The Album”, “Voulez Vous” and “Arrival”
Two more songs exceeded 1000 views (33 in total)
and they are from the current album under review, “Super Trouper”
indicating that more new people are approaching and raises the starting floor
(and at the same time, when going through the ABBA playlist,
raises the counter in the first video "Ring Ring")
But the most outstanding fact for me is that,
after a long time, I change the Top3 of ABBA:
the fantastic "As good as new" reached third place,
surpassed "Knowing me knowing you"
and continues to rise
(that's why I leave the comment here)
And most likely in the next few days I'm talking about another big change
“The winner takes it all” is also flying, to enter the Top5
Within the Top20 of your entire channel there are three ABBA songs:

A really great opener on Voulez-Vous! And I really think this is one - of many - really great album tracks, that also could have been an A-side single and a big hit! “As good as new” achieved two very important marks,
An internal: now surpassed "S.O.S." and it is the second ABBA song with the most views
And the other is general: it also becomes the second of all the musical reactions on your channel

now “As Good as new” is of all your musical reactions the one that has the most views
“without the help of those that top the playlists”
The Top15 of your ABBA playlist is now like this:

Interesting that the Super Trouper songs have gotten so many views already! Cheers as always for doing this, Eduardo. You are endlessly appreciated!
ABBA knows how to open any of their album with a great track! I believe her name is pronounced “un yet tah”.
Yes Agnetha on lead (ag nyet ta)
This track gets you in the right vibe for the rest of the album. Don't worry about Agnetha's name, I say Ann-yeta, it's not correct, but a little closer. At the end of the day it's about the music and your reaction to it -and I, for one, am enjoying it!
'An(g)yeta'.I love her vocals here being in full power, sounding more 'demanding','confident' and her voice possibly more stretched than ever since that high note in 'Hole in your soul' 2 years back.
There are probably dozens of attempts of transliteration, but I'd say: 'Ang', like in angle, and then 'neta' somewhat like in 'feta' (the cheese).
"As good as new" (1979)
is the opening track of the album "Voulez Vous"
and it is one of my favorites from the album (8pts)
it has a surprising opening
with strings reminiscent of classical music,
to move to a constant danceable rhythm,
Agnetha's voice fine and powerful
and that "Ma ma ma ma ma ma..." outstanding
(i believe is unique in ABBA songs)
and then a beautiful pre-choir and pure choir together with Frida
ABBA's trademark with their magical 'Third Voice'
and an ending as abrupt as it is great
a little more than three minutes of concrete music
prettier to listen than to dance
and that is what I value the most
(it seems that Agnetha's voice suits the disco rhythm very well
in fact at the current 'Voyage Concerts' in London
of the four songs in the 'disco section'
two are with Agnetha on lead vocals
even if they are not from this album)
"As good as new"
paradoxically it is one of the most underrated songs on the album "Voulez Vous"
It was only performed live on the 1979 tour of North America and Europe,
which ended in Japan in 1980.
It does not have an official video,
although a fan made one with images showing ABBA during the trip in the United States
and it was released as a single in very few countries,
but coincidentally one of them was Argentina
Thanks again for your fantastic reaction
I wish you a great week
see in the next track

now yes, officially welcome to "Voulez Vous", ABBA's sixth studio album
Released in 1979, I was 21 years old,
it was the album that I lived the most from ABBA,
because for the first time I put faces to them since I saw them at the Concert for UNICEF,
and later at ABBA's presentation for the 300 Million television program Spanish for Latin America
All this happened due to the extraordinary success of ABBA's new single,
"Chiquitita" in Argentina and all of Latin America.
(here in Argentina, South America, at that time,
records from Europe and the United States took almost a year to reach the record stores,
in addition to the fact that we were governed by a bloody Military Dictatorship,
which, among other things,
curtailed the access to foreign music by the radios)
the album "Voulez Vous" in retrospect of my life is one of my least favorite ABBA albums,
because basically I don't like disco music 'today'
but in those times of my 20 years I did like it and I listened to it a lot,
although I wasn't going to dance,
I went to see the movies "Saturday night fever" and "Grease",
and I bought the Bee Gees albums,
which in those years they were my favorite group
(today it is ABBA)
This is my personal experience of my memory of those distant years of 1979,
and how I live that music today
Go away Eduardo
