It's so funny seeing a nice house like this after you've watched lilsimsie's 100 baby challenge and her toddler dungeons
I play my 100 Baby Challenge a lot like lilsimsie did. My toddlers are locked in a room until they max the skills they need to in order to age up. I also have homework cubicles/rooms that I teleport the kids and teens into and don't let them out until they finish their homework.
It's so funny when I play it in a 16 tile tiny home... thank god for bunk beds, basically allowed my to build a maze under them with toys since kids and tots can walk right under.
i did smth similar when i attempted the 100 baby challenge a few years ago and again when i created a “mafia” family which i played for abt 5 generations. it was super useful😭

You’re so good at building suburban and traditional style houses! You’re apartments are awesome too. I’d love to see you do something a little outside your usual. Maybe different eras? A 70s style house with all those ugly colors they used to love, or a midcentury modern house would be cool!
MCM but it was renovated in the late 70s to early 80s for that extra campy feel

I’m surprised you didn’t put a woodworking table or flower arrangement bench in the garage! Growing up the garage was always the unofficial storage/hobby room
Literally the dream house, both cute and pretty! This color scheme with the warm but light wood and the baby blue is one of my favorites 💙

I don’t usually watch videos like this but I ended up completely sucked in for the entire video! Your voice is really relaxing and I love hearing your thought process behind every little choice. I’m not even doing the 100 baby challenge nor do I have the right dlc to download the build but I still really enjoyed

Maybe we will get a "teen stories" pack that'll provide things like bands and more teen activities specifically, perhaps a new recreation activity similar to bowling or movie hangout stuff - roller skating would be so cool, as would malls.
You’re houses and builds are amazing to me. You never redo another build. You never remake a build you already made. I wish I could build like this. I remember way back when watching one of your builds. I mean I’ve watched Speed Builds before. But never on the scale you are on. Still years later and you are my favorite!

Very beautiful house! Though I tend to be the kind of tiger mom who keeps things efficient, lol. All one floor, 2x6 rooms for each child, with a bed and a skill building tool in it. Doors locked for toddlers/only mother access, and mamas room is locked for the kids as well. Basement with 3x3 rooms for school projects, so they don't disturb each other. I like to stick to as small an area as possible; the less space, and the closer to the front, the less problems with space. Fully decorated, to keep mood level high. I would love to be more of a 'story' player, and give my sims some happiness and an actual childhood, but I seem to be more of a tiger mom, lol. And obviously, I love to make it a goal to get with all the married townies, and reveal it to their wives.

I think the mom is called 'the matriarch', which is kind of a badass name lol. I loved the house! I'm currently playing the challenge and it's been hard hard, but houses like this inspire me to keep playing and earning money to be able to afford it haha.
i started it today and have been watching videos like this to keep me motivated too! i’m only 6 babies in but determined to finish it 😂

I love this family home! Very pretty, with well-chosen decor. But for my 100 Baby Challenge I found it helpful to keep the house small and utilitarian for efficiency. 😅

I've built something kinda similar.
I had huge problems with roofing the porch :)) It ended up looking okay-ish but I will play the vid from 1:00 a thousand times to learn how the pros are doing it.
Btw. My house has a foundation.
I started with building the foundation first. I vaguely remember that the stairs were acting weird. I believe i use moveobjects.
I use the tea pot a lot too. Mostly cuz teas helpful when ur sims sick lol otherwise i wouldn't use either

As someone who has done this challenge multiple times.... rule #1 is always no high chairs XD I know it's hard to make it fit the aesthetic of a typical suburban home, but people who are doing 100 baby honestly don't care lol - the best is to have one of the bakery displays from Get To Work in the toddlers' room. What we usually do is fill it with party sized meals that the matriarch (that's what the mom is called in this challenge) cooks ahead of time. The display keeps the food fresh and toddlers can grab their own servings from it. It's a much easier way to keep the toddlers fed without having to deal with the glitchy high chairs.
If I ever place high chairs in my home, it's strictly for aesthetic purposes and I always make sure they are "blocked" so Sims can't actually put toddlers in them.
I agree about the high chairs and bakery case. I also like to put the toddler room on the main floor--it is so much easier than trying to get the sims to carry them up/down the stairs!

To remind yourself of objects to use, you could always make a checklist LOL. Like for trash and, vacuums, mailboxes, thermostats, etc.

Have you considered building a park yet? It could be so cool with the way you do landscaping and I think it could be nice to have multiple activities for all generations. So maybe in one section there is stuff for young adults/adults while in another section there are activities like a slide for toddlers, and perhaps in another section there is a knitting area for elders. It would be cool to have a park in the game that the whole family could enjoy

This is beautiful. Just a quick question. Have you ever thought of buying one of the house/cabin layout books from Lowes for inspiration? I know they are for real homes but their great for sims inspiration as well. You get a picture of the houses and their floor plans.

Love the build and LOVE your consistent gender-inclusive language. "Pink room and blue room" rather than "girl and boy room." "The sim that's trying to have 100 babies" rather than "the mom sim." Such a subtle thing but it makes a huge difference. Awesome work!

this house would have been perfect for the radiators from vampires, you need to remember them more, because they add so much detail and realism
