Question. It looked like mumbleberies had the middle objective captured but has less tickets due to more deaths so they ended up losing. What advantage do they gain by having the middle obj captured? Is it even worth capping the obj if it means losing a lot of tickets trying to take it? Red and blue made it very difficult to understand which team was which. Next time if you can make red represent one clan and blue represent the other for every symbol
Hi there. Thanks for the good question. From my 8 years of playing this game, it is generally a good approach to try to at least get the middle objective, a large part due to "territory control" of the map. For a map like this that only spans horizontally, flanking options are very limited. Losing a flag, such as a middle flag, increases the likelihood of losing the match since they would have less territory and flanking options around the map, which would just cause a domino effect of more deaths and more vehicle losses. Both teams don't know how much tickets the other team is leading/behind by, so they had to balance out the use of putting their battle vehicles in the front lines, which cost at least 5-15 tickets depending on the vehicle, and try to use good judgment on whether to continue pushing or not. At around the 1:32:00 mark, you can see the northeastern flag to the right of the middle flag (Insurgent Checkpoint flag) was still not captured. I believe this approach was done in order to avoid any ticket bleed if the middle flag was capped by the opposing Blue team. If the previous flag was still not captured yet, then the ticket bleed mechanic would not take affect even if the middle flag was captured. However I have seen cases where a team has opted to not continue to fight for the middle flag and stayed at the previous flag (and building their base there instead for a strong defense). Such decisions can be made after evaluating the amount of lost tickets from previous FOB's and vehicles. This is common to see on larger maps.
@@Socratestimethanks for explaining it. I feel one way you can improve your commentating even more is if you dive deep into these strategies you seem to know a lot about and explaining it thoroughly. Reminding spectators occasionally about who’s on who’s team when you refer to individual players would be a great way of orienting all the spectators even the ones who are more new to the game to what’s actually going on and being conducted by what team. Overall great performance the atmosphere is electric and I look forward to watching more.
@@Bluesoccer23 Thanks for the feedback too Bluesoccer! Definitely room for improvement in that aspect too. The newer commentating streams in 2024 have incorporated more strategy explanation and player/team-identification. This particular stream was back in 2020 a few years ago. I appreciate your support as well!
