Once again you have demonstrated your real enthusiasm and work ethic to get back out there under difficult circumstances Jeroen. Well done to you . .and your great friend Sjon.
@@StarScaperPhoto Just make sure you don't stop this hobby Jeroen... because you're inspiring us a lot, especially here in the Netherlands where astrophotography it very hard to accomplish
Thanks for watching Tobias! Astro darkness indeed sets in from 18 degrees. I think I said that the sun wouldn't dip further under the horizon than about 16 degrees max this night, so indeed no astro darkness 😁.
Excellent video and Bud, I am so happy just to see you outside under the stars.. I am sure, it would have felt so good even on Crutches.. hope you will be soon moving freely
Bravo, Jeroen. I'm pleased to see that you're recovering well, and well enough to get out under the stars again. I love how you are still there, giving others the tips and settings they need to take great night sky photos.
Great to see you out again :D and its nice to see you have such a good and positive friends. Stuff was very well explained and I am sure it will come handy to many :D
Thanks again for watching and leaving your thoughts Matej. Much appreciated! If I can execute my idea, the next vlog might be a bit more advanced and geeky! ;-).
Wow, mate - given you had such difficulty moving that was fantastic!! 👏👏 Super clear explanation of the different methods for people - I’ll definitely be pointing people towards this vid for some tuition. And a big 🙌 to Sjon for helping - what else are Astro friends for?! Great stuff.
Thanks for watching Paul! Super glad you still enjoyed it despite the limited possibilities. I was in doubt myself but decided to just give it a go and see what I could do rather than what I couldn't. And indeed, Sjon and the other bunch of astrobrhos are the best 💪.
Im due to be moving to a bortle 3 sky in Scotland soon. Im hoping to put some of these techniques to use. Many thanks for posting and keep up the great work 👍😎
Glad you got to go out under the stars with your friend, well done for doing the video. I do stack track now, and am trying to venture into adding ha, but it's so hard to process
@@MarkusSchoch believe me, this night was all about (mental) health first and second. The rest was just a fun bonus. But I hear you. I won't do anything what the doctor tells me not to do, don't worry ;-).
Hi Joseph. Already did a thorough post-processing video about a year ago: th-cam.com/video/9JmZwk7BqgE/w-d-xo.html Might do an update soon though. Have some new tricks in my toolkit by now :-).
2 shots 20 minutes and 1 shot 12 minutes with clouds rolling is very long. My conclusion: John is a very patient man. I would never shoot longer then 2 or max 3 minute exposures. If you have a marginal error in the alignment is it a lot more forgiving. Track and stack of 2 minute exposures is better in my opinion.
Haha, I'm sure Sjon was referring to 20 minutes of total integration time, consisting of 20x60 sec for example. Besides that Sjon is also a patient man yes 😉.
@@DRIMIXX not sure what item you mean, but I put the ballhead on a MSM v-plate, MSM Nomad tracker on the MSM wedge, which in itself sits on a leveling base.

Thanks so much Richard! Enthusiasm, yes. Work ethic? Fortunately my YT has nothing to do with work and is pure hobby 😃👌

Thanks again Jan, always appreciate you watching! Judging by the 'stuck by the road' comment on insta I thought you already watched it 😄.

Great video. The attraction of being under a starry sky leads to pass over many problems.
Thanks! Stars are the best cure 👌
Another great video great tips, and glad you are on the mend and under the stars again.

You mean 18° below the horizon, this is astro darkness then. 😛
Glad to see you are well and can walk. Great video as always mate! ✌

Thanks! I agree, doing an HaRGB is a time consuming business. I do it sometimes if I really want to let the h-alpha shine.
Good to see you back under the stars!!🎉🎉
