Looks great! Definitely looking forward to the end results of this. Are you also planning to swap it to a manual transmission as well?
I am, yes. Going to use a stock E250F transmission, I will be making another video like that when we do the swap, that will probably be a couple episodes away.
My 1996 rav engine with the distributor has rod knock. Can I swap the short block with a newer 3sfe from a 1998 rav4 engine with the coil pack. Is that possible
Wouldn’t it be easier to pull the harness from inside out then drop the engine with everything still hooked up? Instead of removing harness from engine
If I had to it over again, I'd agree that it would be easier to remove the harness off the engine when it's out. That's my plan for the GTE when I put the entire combination back in.
@@martinmotorsco ahah we live and learn, I will be doing this swap in march, already refreshed the gen 5, now im waiting till the weather gets a lil better up here in Toronto!
What is actually needed to make this running function for a swap... like is this a plug-and-play system
It is largely plug and play, provided you have someone such as Doug from Wiregap make you a harness. This car is running now and I have a few hours of content I need to edit to put together in the final video.
