You’ve caused me to second-guess my choice of paddle for portable ops. I WAS using a handheld like yours, but I 3D printed it and it was a piece of crap. Actually worked fine right up until I felt I was good enough to attempt CW POTA activation and literally fell apart during 7th contact. UPS dropped off Code Warrior Jr today. Oh well. Thanks for posting the video, it’s good copy practice!
So adding a 2nd counterpoise to the AX1...for some reason I never thought about that. I've had issues with tuning the AX1 when it's not directly attached to my radio. Maybe that's the trick I need!!!
Solar conditions have been terrible most of the week. I activated a park today and could barely get anyone on CW on 20m. 40m brought some participation but not the normal amount. I got some use out of the automatic message keyer on my rig today and found myself searching Facebook waiting for responses. Good luck 72s de AJ4MY

My solar app has been showing flares off varying degrees every half hr or so.
