CW Parks On The Air with the IC-705 and Gabil GRA-7350TC at Tracy Creek State Forest

Today I'm at K-5342 Tracy Creek State Forest in Vestal, New York. I wanted to get out again while the weather was still nice (it's supposed to be lousy for the next two weeks) and do another POTA activation. I've only activated this park once, and it was SSB. I'm not sure why I don't come here more often, as it's the second closest park to my hose. The activation was slower than I expected being a Saturday afternoon, but when I got home I took a look at the solar conditions and saw we had an M flare right in the middle of my activation. That explains why the signal's suddenly kind of just went away, and what I was hearing was much weaker. As usual, the IC-705 performed great. This is without a doubt one of the best QRP radios on the market. The Gabil antenna works well enough for what it is, but it certainly isn't as good as a full quarter wave vertical. All in all it was a successful activation. We even ended it with a little DX from Russia! Anyhoo, thanks for watching and 73!

If I say the words "stop recording" mine stops too.. its a verbal command setting... sometimes a word combination may sound the same to the camera.. my garmin does the same. Thanks for the vids Evan!
