People have been commenting on my videos for years when I'm not SUPER OVERLY EXCITED that I sound like I'm going to cry. This is my voice. This is just how I sound. It does not mean something is wrong. It is okay to go places alone (you should try it sometimes, too). And not wearing makeup ≠ being sick. ♥♥THANK YOU ♥♥
If I were an alien in a beautiful country like Japan I would've gone on countless solo trips like this one. I think people started thinking that you're sad because you were talking normally but with melancholic background music 😁. Food for thought: Too many questions and wondering means that a lot of people love you guys and only wish you all the best all the time. 🙏
i don't undestand why they think this. i would love to visit this kind of places alone or with a pet to think maybe. some people thing being alone some time to be a problem i love the calm of being alone. i hate being alone in a crowd tho. thats a beutiful walk. have a good day
People tell me I look tired or sick when I don't wear makeup too. I think people have just forgotten what the natural female face looks like. I don't watch every single video you post for your makeup. I just love you being you.
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the honesty in the thumb nail, Rachel. That was indeed a waterfall with a picture of your face edited next to it. It made me laugh.
It's a bit contradictory to say "Jun works hard on Jun's kitchen videos" and "Jun has been playing video games for 10 hours straight" in one sentence :D
Artur Galata i love you guys i want to come to Japan soo bad . Japan is so beautiful and full of traditions. Much love and support from Bosnia And Herzegovina
Jenna Marbles mentioned Jun/a Jun’s kitchen episode in one of her videos a few weeks ago! It inspired her to cook a meal. That’s so cool she’s a fan of you guys too!
This video was so peaceful and calming, thank you! A great way to start a difficult day. Music reminded me so much of Life Is Strange. And the shot when you were walking and the sun shone from behind, everything so warm and yellow, was truly beautiful.
I don't know... I felt emotional watching the video. The music, you being close to nature and the last sentence that you said Rachel about destiny. All was so beautiful. Thank you so much for always showing us glimpses of your life with Jun and in Japan. You are beautiful people, a beautiful couple and you live in such a magical country. I love all your channels but this one relaxes me a lot ! Maybe because the videos there are calmer, simple, about your life. It is so heartwarming. I love you guys a lot ! Wish you all the best ! God Bless you
I think it's very brave of you that you went somewhere by yourself and had a conversation with complete strangers in a foreign language :) You're awesome Rachel! Also love the aesthetics of this video.. Very peaceful ;3
really dig this short chill vlog style from Rachel. She's my fav. Especially hearing about her language journey. Learning a second language is a forever hobby/struggle and it is super encouraging to hear about her experience
I loved the way you edited your ending Rachel! It's super sweet, "I guess we can change our destiny, I don't think I want to. I kinda like where my destiny is heading right now." That was just really heartwarming and I thought I'd say thank you and Great Job! 💜
Then you for sharing such beautiful things as both the waterfall hike and the piece of art that is this video. It's awesome that you filmed it in 2 seasons and spliced the film together, and I applaud your selection in music. I just really love this video and the seamless way you have vlogging and really beautiful nature footage melded together. I apologize if I'm not very articulate presently - it's early for me here! I always get excited when I see a video from you guys. :)
“Reversible destiny... I guess we can change our destiny. I don't know if I want to, I kinda like where my destiny is now.” - Rachael 2018. I bet most of you're subscribers like where your destiny is now as well. I love how you contrasted the seasons, and showed the ever-changing beauty of the area.
I'm really surprised that so many people got sad vibes off of this video! :O Some said the music was sad..? I just thought "wow, awesome choice of relaxing and beautiful music that's really in tune with the scenery!". Also, I didn't hear any sadness in Rachel's voice or think she looked tired or w/e else people wrote. :P This was a wonderfully healing, relaxing and uplifting video to me and I'll be re-watching it many times, I'm sure! (and I don't usually like to re-watch much of anything) The ending was just perfect as well! If you happen to read this Rachel... You did so great! Thank you for always sharing such genuine feelings that resonate with so many people all over the world. Much love, care and sincere appreciation from a subscriber in Sweden.
I enjoyed the walk up the mountain and the way you inter-cut scenes from autumn and going back to winter was a fantastic way to showcase the beauty of Yoro Waterfall.
It's nice being able to do things by yourself sometimes isn't it? You can take your time and do whatever you feel like. If Jun had been there you may not have spoken with that older couple, and had the chance to flex your Japanese. I would like to be alone with my thoughts in such a naturally beautiful place. Rachel, I can tell you're stressed. You seem nervous and anxious. If you need to, take time for yourself and relax. "Doing your best does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown" - a quote from Tiny Buddha.
What a beautiful place! And the couple you walked up the mountain with sound super sweet, it's always wonderful to be able to carry on a conversation in a second language. Thanks for taking us along!
What a wonderful video! The choise in ambiant music maches the seaney beautifully and makes for a very nostalgic memory. Thank you for this! I hope to see more uploads like this one. I feel like i could burn all of these moments into my heart somehow.
I just love the outdoors and the scenery there is so peaceful and relaxing I could stay there for hours just to look around and see the waterfalls and streams. I can't believe it how clean it is I just love Japan so much thank you Rachel for sharing.
Really like that you put the different views between autumn and winter. If you can you should do go back for spring and summer and take similar shots to see the seasonal change.
Rachel I am so glad you went out and did this!! It seems like an amazing adventure. Thank you for sharing. Those leaves and waterfalls were incredible. ❤️
Yes as you are seeing snow in Japan we here in ohio got a shit load of rain last night and woke up to 4 in of snow and black ice everywhere. And now it's warming up and now the snow is melting.
Rachel!!! You're so gorgeous!! Your hair was shining so prettily in the light *_* also the forest surrounding the waterfall and the waterfall were so breathtaking! I love Japan's nature. Thank you for showing it
Thanks for taking us with you on a walk, Rachel. Beautiful area. Looking forward to see Jun's hard work pay off. :D 3:20 In case anyone missed it, or didn't want to pause to read: "Yoro Falls is rated among the top 100 most beautiful waterfalls in Japan, and it's water share that disti[n]ction, determined by the Environmental Preservation Agency to be in the top 100 list of the best water to be found in Japan. During the Nara Period, the Emperor Gensyo declared that this water, springing from the depths of Mount Yoro, would cure any disease. There are historical documents attributed to Emperor Gensyo that quote him as saying that the water from Yoro Falls, when used to wash one's hands and face, would make one's skin smooth and clear, and any disease would disappear. He further insisted that lost hair would return, and that failing eyesight would be restored. He asserted that it was a veritable "fountain of youth". The year 717 marked the beginning of the Yoro Period in Japanese history. According to historical record[s] there was a natural spring located 500 meters beneath Yoro Falls bearing the same waters. A Shinto Shrine was built on that sight/[site]. The spring and the falls have somehow separated, although the spring remains. The water of Yoro Falls is naturally filtered through the mountain of chalk that is Mount Yoro, producing water rich in minerals and haelthful/[healthful] gasses. Legend insists that it will restore health and youth, and insure a long life." I included the sign's spelling errors, but added correction in [ ]. Apology if there are any typos overlooked, English isn't my native language.
+Rachel & Jun’s Adventures! Have you looked into purchasing an insect field guide or using a field guide app outside of iNaturalist? They can help you identify the broader categories (like family and genus) which can help the people on iNaturalist identify the species. They’re small and you can usually carry them in a purse or backpack.
Really beautiful place! And this also happens to me a lot, when I am alone without my chinese boyfriend local chinese people start to talk with me and I can make new friends haha! Cheers from your fan in China!
Jun and Rachel inspire me to move to japan, more than I already want to... I seen every single one of your video, thanks for your Inspiration. I love ya’ll :)
That is so beautiful!! Me and my fiance are planning to go to Japan for our honeymoon in October and we have gotten a lot of inspiration from y'alls videos for where we want to go!! Love it! Keep up the amazing work, you two are so incredible!!
Thanks for the Video. The Walk an talk video are better than you think. Most people work so much that they don't have time get out, or talk to people. When you do videos like this, you harbor the Illusion they have a life.
It is very interesting to see the difference in filming and composition between the Jun and Rachel. There are subtle differences which speak to how they view the world differently. I wonder how many people can see what is common to Rachel's views and to Jun's?
Great video Rachel! 😊👍🍂so beautiful. I am so happy you met those nice people and we're able to communicate fully, that is one of my dreams as a language learner.
Hahah I’m dying. The music and the conversation about jun being absent from the vlogs made it seem so sad . It’s amazing to realize how music can really change the mood
You're having a warm early spring in Japan, while here in Ireland the whole country is snowed in to one of the worst blizzards Ireland's seen in a long time. Which isn't really bad blizzard compared to their places because we're lucky if it snows at all! Also the music made me really sad, I hope things are well with you.
This was sooo pretty Rachel, thank you for sharing!! While watching I probably said "omg I wanna go there!" 5 times out loud, I miss being in nature and springtime so much
Rachel, that was so beautiful! Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Thank you for showing the waterway and the 🍁 were amazing! The water was very clear at the waterfall. I was wondering if the waterway was always that dry or did it have a greater water flow at one time? Fall is always something to look forward to. The changing leaves 🍁 have a way of making things more than what they were. Thank you again. I really enjoyed the video. Helped me get away from the stress I had. Have a wonderful day.
It's winter so rainfall is really low right now! It's probably amassing on top of the mountain as snow, and come spring it'll all melt and then the river will flow more strongly. :) Japan has two almost back to back rainy seasons, too. I bet it fills up a lot more then! Thank you so much; I'm really glad you liked our video!! Your comment made me really happy to read! :D
The thumbnail of this made me laugh so I clicked on it, and this video makes me 10000000% more excited to go to Japan next year! Also this background music in the beginning made me think that bad news was coming LOL it sounded so serious and somber to me
I love you guys so much I want to come to Japan so bad. Japan is so beautiful and full of traditions. Much love and support from Bosnia and Herzegovina from me and my cat Epix❤❤
Your videos always makes me calm, even when I had a shitty day like today. Thank you! ♥ I hope I can go see some of these awesome places too someday ^^
♥♥THANK YOU ♥♥
I find this curious because I'm not hearing what others do in your voice. I can't pinpoint a hint of sadness in how you speak.
i don't undestand why they think this. i would love to visit this kind of places alone or with a pet to think maybe. some people thing being alone some time to be a problem i love the calm of being alone. i hate being alone in a crowd tho. thats a beutiful walk. have a good day
Thank you Rachel for I had that question based on your voice and the clarification is super helpful. Going alone places too, is completely normal
Your Wayward Destiny I love these honest thumbnails she’s been using. I loved her thumbnail from the bug video flashback too.
Yeah, I laughed when i saw it and now my housemates think i'm more insane than they did before. Worth it. xD
Rachel has autumn in her hair.
And spring in her sinuses, or maybe a cold.
Right Rachel is so red... Her cheeks her eyes her hair
That quality thumbnail tho.
made in powerpoint!
Just popped in to say that was the greatest thumbnail I've seen in my life.
That last one with the bugs was pretty great, too.
Japan is so insanely beautiful
It's a bit contradictory to say "Jun works hard on Jun's kitchen videos" and "Jun has been playing video games for 10 hours straight" in one sentence :D
Lifewithfay it’s a joke
Artur Galata i love you guys i want to come to Japan soo bad . Japan is so beautiful and full of traditions. Much love and support from Bosnia And Herzegovina
Japan is beautiful in any and every season. Haha.
Uhm someone can still work really hard all day, then spend a few hours a night playing games.
10 hours playing games, 14 hours for cooking.
Jenna Marbles mentioned Jun/a Jun’s kitchen episode in one of her videos a few weeks ago! It inspired her to cook a meal. That’s so cool she’s a fan of you guys too!
The sunlight on your hair makes it so vibrant and glowy 😍
I really liked the autumn and winter comparisons! Made it feel like I'd actually been there during both seasons
This video was so peaceful and calming, thank you! A great way to start a difficult day. Music reminded me so much of Life Is Strange. And the shot when you were walking and the sun shone from behind, everything so warm and yellow, was truly beautiful.

It's GORGEOUS!! The autumn footage, with all the leaves?? Autumn is my absolute favorite time of the year! ^.^
I think it's very brave of you that you went somewhere by yourself and had a conversation with complete strangers in a foreign language :) You're awesome Rachel!
Also love the aesthetics of this video.. Very peaceful ;3
I hiked here too (on my own) a few years ago in late spring! It's absolutely beautiful! It was fun to see the area again!
My biggest dream is to visit Japan. The more I watch the videos you and Jun post the more motivating it is. Thank you and Jun.
really dig this short chill vlog style from Rachel. She's my fav. Especially hearing about her language journey. Learning a second language is a forever hobby/struggle and it is super encouraging to hear about her experience
Everything about this video is beautiful. Rachel, the red leaves, the trail, the waterfall, the music. I feel so good right now.
I loved the way you edited your ending Rachel! It's super sweet, "I guess we can change our destiny, I don't think I want to. I kinda like where my destiny is heading right now." That was just really heartwarming and I thought I'd say thank you and Great Job! 💜

Beautiful walk you took. Lovely waterfall. I like to listen to water moving. Pretty, quiet walk!!

The channel has grown nicely..😀 congrats for 300k subs, Rachel!
Gorgeous in fall and winter!
The last words echoed inside my head right at the end, when it got silent. Very nice video, really beautiful place!

Something about this video makes me really nostalgic
