  • Oregon waterfalls were the theme of what to visit and where to travel to in Oregon this year, and it. was. epic. We traveled all across Oregon, and spent 10 weekends, 2000+ miles driven to create the best waterfall guide of Oregon that the internet has ever seen... at least that was the hope lol ;)
    I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towns of Seaside, Oregon. I will travel to Oregon for the rest of my life, and I know I will experience new things every time. This 4K travel guide is an overview of my top 10 Waterfalls that are worth visiting in Oregon, so make some notes, and get out there and enjoy!

    I watched this video back when you released it, but I’m finally commenting - it was fun to meet you at Koosah Falls this last October! As a couple of Arizonans, my wife and I were blown away by the 10+ waterfalls we visited during our Bend trip. Thanks for telling me about your channel that morning in October - I’ve really enjoyed your content! Absolutely top tier stuff. Keep it up!

    Thank you for being so helpful. Wow even mapped them out. Super cool especially because we traveled so far. Unfortunatley one thing i should have researched myself was no dogs on many of these trails. We took paved trails or off shoots but will definitely have to come back again in the spring and summer

    • @JacksonMeyer
      @JacksonMeyer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You might see people scrambling down from the top, like above the waterfall, but that is officially closed. the proper way to get to the bottom requires a bit more discovery, and I'll give just a hint: bridge.

    Good stuff.. I know there are a couple more you didn't mention. National Creek falls and Mill Creek falls which include Barr Creek falls as well. I live less than 10 minutes from the Mill creek falls. My drone had some issues that day and I was new to flying this DJI AIR. th-cam.com/video/mScpd2Si4eM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Mw84VJA8FPgUijvW Oh.. when you first see the waterfall.. That IS my DJI Phantom 3 Pro sitting on the wall. Unretrievable. Got too close at the top of the falls and ran into a small branch on the right side of the fall. oops..

    • @JacksonMeyer

      Crazy that you spotted that, because that is the **ONLY time I showed that waterfall in the entire video (that's a hint... this waterfall wasn't on the list or in any of my videos). I don't want to blow up this spot, but I will give you a hint... this waterfall is within a 30minute drive from where I was raised (which I have hinted and said directly in many of my videos)... that's all that I will say. Good luck investigating!!!!

    I hate to be that guy but drones in the wilderness are a no go. Ramona and Marion are both in wilderness by miles. Tumalo is signed to stay on the trail which means walking behind it is off limits. Also, Multnomah is a no drone zone. Quality video but some leave no trace ethics would be nice in future videos.

    • @JacksonMeyer
      @JacksonMeyer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First off, I appreciate your comment, your professionalism, and your LNT mentality, because I tend to be a stickler in this realm as well: I just saw some drone video in Silver Falls on IG and commented pretty much your same sentiment on that post. And while I'm aligned with you on LNT, I know that I let my intrusive thoughts occasionally win (it's true) so there is certainly room for improvement on my end. Also, I'd like to respond:
      1. Tumalo, I took the pretty obvious trail by the bridge and walked upstream and I didn't see any sign indicating that was off-limits to walk up the river (Removed all footage that encourages going down there)
      2. I am extremely aware that Multnomah and the whole Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area/Mark Hatfield/Eagle Creek etc is a no drone zone that's why I didn't fly in Tunnel/Wahclella/Ecola, etc - and when filming Multnomah, I launched from outside the zone (i.e the river) and stayed outside the zone over the river the duration of the flight while filming Multnomah.
      3. I have learned something new, I didn't know that drones are prohibited in Oregon Wilderness. Shoot. Good to know, and I suppose one more thing to check before launching! Thank you!

    Hi! How long would it take to visit all these waterfalls?

    • @JacksonMeyer
      @JacksonMeyer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is a crazy question because they are all over Oregon! If you made a perfect route and optimized it… it might take you 5 days to see them all? Romona & tamanawas is a day, tunnel falls is a day, Tumalo, white river falls & Marion is a big day. Salt creek, Abiqua & tokatee falls is a big day and then Multnomah + others is a good day.

    You mispronounced Abiqua. It's not Ah-bic-kwa, it should be more like Abby-kwa.
    Silver Falls State Park is another good place to go. There are 10 falls located on 24 miles of hiking trails. 4 of the 10 falls have trails that allow you to go behind the falls. South Falls is probably the easiest of them to get to.

      I am always one to take constructive criticism... so thank you, that is good to know. That being said.... I sure hope you got far more out of that video beyond the fact that I mispronounced a word.
