Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls & the Historic Highway- Waterfall Corridor and Vista Point!

- The historic columbia river highway is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in America!- Also known as the Highway of Waterfalls, or the Waterfall Corridor, This was the FIRST planned scenic highway in the United States! It was constructed between 1913 and 1922. The complete scenic highway is over 75 miles, but we traveled through the waterfall corridor which is between Dodson and Troutdale, Oregon.
We make several stunning stops during our visit: Horsetail Falls, Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Latourell Falls, Oneonta Tunnel, Oneonta Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Shepperds Dell Falls, Vista Point House.

I live across the river in Washington and it’s only a 40min drive over there. Great place to take people who come to visit. Feel so blessed to have all this both on the Washington and Oregon Gorge route. The Columbia River is gorgeous…
I would love to make the drive on the Washington side! We could see some waterfalls from the overlook at bridal veil- such a lovely area!

We love waterfalls so this highway would be so cool to check out. So impressive the research you put in. Those are my kind of falls where you get out and it is right there. The map is a great touch to show where you are going.
These falls are so soothing. Good idea going to the busy one first. Thanks for taking us high and low. We don’t get this in IL. LOL. No zoom to the island like the waterfall 😂

I can't even fathom living in an area where water falls like that. We're lucky if creeks and rivers actually have flowing water here. 😂
We couldn’t believe the water source that feeds Multnomah is considered a creek!!! 😮
We are thinking about doing this trip later on this year. Curious if you know if the amount of water flow is pretty much the same year-round in this area? What time of year were you there?
