    Personally, I don't believe that the NFL stadiums need to be replaced, I just think that they need to cut ticket prices and promote the hell out of their games. If they sell out, there is no atmosphere issue.

    • @Montfortracing
      @Montfortracing 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So you think that's gonna solve Temple's and Rice's issues?

    • @senna3
      @senna3 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Montfortracing Rice doesn't play in a current NFL stadium. As for Temple, I'd give away tickets to all Eagles season ticket holders and attempt to develop a fan base. I'm sure that building Temple's program will be a challenge but building a new new stadium isn't going to solve those issues

    • @Montfortracing
      @Montfortracing 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@senna3 right, I'm not sure why I included Rice in my question, of course they have their own stadium. Perhaps schools like Pitt and Miami and UNLV are in the question. Given that at least 90% of college football teams have their own stadiums, it's probably not a bad idea for schools like Temple and UNLV to build their own stadiums. One of the reasons being is for example, in the case for Temple, the school's fan base is not big enough to fill the Eagles' stadium. They would do well to copy Cincinnati Bearcats model: build a size fitting for your fan base. The stadium doesn't need to be big, but size of stadium can make a difference in a feeling of home and atmosphere.

      No. This guy is correct. BYU stadium needs massive infrastructure and renovation improvements. They could renovate or reconstruct so still see mountains and landscape because the stadium itself has issues akin to the Liberty Bowl Stadium that is in progress of renovations and improvements and so on and still have Mississippi River Valley views along with Ozarks to West and North and western fringe areas of Smoky Mountains to the East and then there is the beautiful city skyline. But to be honest you go to a football stadium to watch a football game not to check out the panoramic views of the surrounding areas. Now for yours and pictures and other revenue streaming incentives and ideas to have a football stadium be tourist friendly attraction to sightseeing and view the lay out of the area, that is fine.

The cool 72 degree weather year round inside and the huge home-field advantage that comes with playing in a dome that gets SO loud, it’s an electric environment. Finally a college football category that my beloved ACC dominates. Oh well much work to do I guess. I've said it several times that The University Miami needs to go a couple of miles down the street and purchase the Dadeland Mall property and then build a stadium on the land. Think about it, plenty of parking decks are already constructed nearby and there would also be surface parking on a lesser scale. There are also three metro rail stations within walking distance to lessen the traffic on game day. Several hotels are a short distance away and there are plenty of places for the pregame "U" vibe to gather. The area is densely populated and push back from locals could be expected. This could also work to the advantage of the stadium dynamics by making it practical for many fans to walk to the stadium from their homes.

    So, what exactly is the problem with BYU’s open corners? It creates an open feel and allows views of the pine trees surrounding the stadium, which enhances the Mountain View’s. At 65K that BYU only sells out for the more premium opponents (avg is 58K), additional seating isn’t needed anyway.
    As a fan since the 80s, I’ve sat about everywhere except the press box. There’s not a bad seat in the stadium, even the corner-adjacent seats.

    UTSA have been growing in attendance. The last couple of years, their average is around 29,000. They need to do some upgrades to it, and add more seating which I think the design for it to do.

      I don't think Pitt playing in Heinz is too much of an issue. Yes it's a bit far from campus, but I know damn well there's a Port Authority bus line from Oakland to Downtown and then the T runs over to the stadium. Yes they can't fill it, but that's a Pitt problem, they have more foreign students who don't care about football than local Yinzers that do care. Them being good instead of 3-9 would also help that. The bottom line is that for better or worse they're stuck at Heinz, there's simply no room in Pittsburgh for another full-size football stadium.

I think a brick facade or something covering the outside since it is just pillars holding up the stands. Then maybe connect the corners will be tough. Pitt’s athletic Director at the time Steve Pederson had the smartest man in the room syndrome and most of anything he touched was turned into shit and he could never keep anything stable. It’s a miracle that he didn’t have as much of his fingers on the basketball program than he did on the football program. He could have found someway to get a much needed renovation to Pitt Stadium and to build a bigger basketball arena/ student rec center but I think the Pitt football team moving to Heinz Field was the comprise to get the public funding to build it along with PNC Park in 1999 for the Steelers and Pirates. However a lot of alumni say he should have found a way to keep Pitt Stadium and Pitt Football on campus.

    University of Pittsburgh and its Acrisure stadium
    Pitt has not committed to football, they have built multiple multi million dollar facilities in the space that a football stadium could have taken place, including another arena thats currently under construction

    With the exception of Miami roadrunners and BYU none of these schools has a strong enough following to invest in their own stadium. I find it hard to believe University of Miami can’t make room on campus for stadium. Rice being a Texas School blows my mind that they don’t have a strong, following or enough alumni to care. Simply nobody cares about Temple for any change to happen, there’s high school stadiums in Oklahoma and Texas bigger than Temple l can make for themselves.

    This guy must have never been to Hard Rock for a canes game. It gets very loud bc of the roof. Why move from a world class facility that host Super Bowls and college football playoff games? Even if Miami gets its own stadium it’s not going to change the attendance and this is coming from a season ticket holder.

      Back in the day UCLA shared the Coliseum with USC and the Rams, but UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl after the Rams left and the Raiders moved in. Now USC controls the Coliseum.
