For winterizing, can Caravan G be applied in November and December? Also, can you put a winterizing fertilizer on top of this? Your videos are very helpful!
Could be dollar spot Mike but if your grass is Bermuda or Zoysia, it shouldn't really become an issue if you're feeding the lawn enough nitrogen. I sometimes have those on my lawn early in the morning but by 10AM or so, they're gone. If you're worried and want to apply a preventative, then a fungicide with propiconazole like Headway G would be a good choice.
Spring dead spot in Bermuda is a massive issue here in Central Oklahoma any suggestions? We usually just leave it and tell them that it will grow over with fertilization.
Hi Brice. The time to prevent Spring dead spot is really in the fall. In fall months, reduce fertilization and do 2 fungicide applications. One in October and another in November. I did that last year and it really helped this spring. Sorry you're dealing with that.
@@RonHenry thankfully this outbreak isn't as bad as the army worms last year. We would show up to acre sized fescue sodded yards that where completely dry and crunchy literally overnight. Ron, I have a reoccurring problem with spring dead spot. Eagle 20EW has help considerable but not entirely. How much more effective is HeadwayG? The label doesn’t indicate when to apply. Would it be in late fall before the turf goes into dormancy?
Hi Mark. Headway has helped my spring dead spot this year. I had more areas with damage last year than this year.
