    I got dollar spot all summer on empire zoysia. The yard is kind of on a plateau with excellent drainage.

      @TurfandStem  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dont know much about zoysia. It doesn't take a lot of moisture for fungus to pop up unfortunately.

    When you mention humidity, are you referring to the highest humidity? We often get to 90-100% humidity overnight but in the day it makes it to 50%

    • @TurfandStem
      @TurfandStem  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually the highest humidity, but are you down south? With that high humidity, I'd consider putting fungicide down.

    I live in Cary, NC and I have a warm season grass (Bermuda). You mentioned the 150 rule applies to cool season grass. Is there a variation of that for warm season grass? According to the 150 rule I've been in the danger zone for the last two-and-a-half months, and I've been putting down Azoxy and Prop. My lawn is doing OK, definitely better than most of my neighbors.

      Are you doing curative or preventative rates? What type of fungus? The 150 rule MAY apply to warm season, but I don't have any experience with that grass type or climate unfortunately.

      @@TurfandStem Hi, I''ve been doing preventative rates. I'm not sure but I suppose most of my neighbors have brown patch and dollar spot. In my lawn so far the Azoxy and Prop are holding them at bay. My impression is the 150 Rules does apply, though maybe it could be modified to the 160 Rule for warm season grass, but I'm not really sure, I actually don't know much about it.

    Sir - too bad I saw this video after the damage was done. Question for reseeding my tall fescue this year - how should I treat the existing fungus? cure it first or remove the grass from those areas so I can reseed.

    • @TurfandStem
      @TurfandStem  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With overseeding comes a lot of watering, so fungus can be an issue. You might want to do a preventative app at the time of seeding. No need to remove the grass because of fungus, just get it down low, bag it before overseeding.

    People always said necrotic is from over watering. I don’t over water the grass. But I get the necrotic ring twice now. This year is much bigger than last year. What’s the cure??

    My high and low temps and humidity levels are up and down each week . They sometimes are 135-145 and then back down around 120. Will 1 day at or above 150 cause a outbreak?

    • @TurfandStem
      @TurfandStem  ปีที่แล้ว

      What part of the country do you live in? The 150 Rule isn't an exact science, just an estimate of when to be careful and start preparing, sort of how we apply pre-emergent when the forsythias bloom. It's better to be a little too early with the fungicides than it is being too late. 1 day...probably not, but several days over a period of time may.
