I was taught at school that Malay (the ethnic, not only Malaysia) came from Yunnan. It was influenced by Srivijaya Empire that opens huge sea-trade from Arab and China (the famous figure is 馬和 / Ma He, a Hui man). Now, Malay spreads ranging from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Pattani, to Western Indonesia. But, I think we're still not sure about the truth, since SEA history is really complex due to its diversity such as archipelagic region... Perhaps it would be really interesting to see how Hui people see about Malay people.

In fact, through my trip to Malaysia, I found that many local people look a lot like people in our village. But in fact, we are not typical Yunnan people. The history of our village says that our ancestors came from Central Asia. Although we are the Hui, the Hui is a nation in history that integrates many ethnic groups that believe in Islam, including the Han nationality. In other words, although we belong to the same ethnic minority as the Hui people in other parts of China, we are actually not the same race(Or we have merged each other's pedigree through marriage in history. For example, Viona, she looks like a typical Han nationality, But our offspring may be Han nationality or my appearance. By the way, my father's eyes are green). I am now in Indonesia, Viona and I are surprised to find that the taste of the food here is very similar to that of our local food. (But they added some local spices)Including the looks of some people here are very much like those of our hometown.
All in all, that's what shocked us most and interesting thing about this trip.

Yes in fact Mr Ma, you look very central Asian...I'm sure people say that to you even in China. You can do a DNA test reveal on your channel.. it'll be an interesting ethnicity background mix.

@oldwatchma No way..., another migration and interracial marriage... I guess the history is really complex much more than I thought then 🙃. Perhaps if we trace back the Ancient Asia, it is probably close to the Prophets Era, hmm Wallahu a'lam 😅. Anw, talking about marriage, long time ago it's really common to have many children in some parts of Malay area like South Sumatra, even my Mom is the 4th of 12 🤣, maybe it's a propaganda to help spreading Islam....

Is it surprising The Liar who lied about WMD in Iraq, incubator babies in Kuwait, White Helmets in Syria, Tonkin Bay incident, opium poppy cultivation in Afghanistan would also lie about China? Not just China, but everything else. Ukraine. Nord Stream pipeline sabotage. Cuba. North Korea. I haven't even started on their more recent lies to protect an apartheid settler colonial project in the Middle East.

the book you saw was written by muslim scientist his name was ibn sina (ali bin isa) at golden age of islam. In this book he described human internal anatomy also he mentioned treatment for almost more then 900 diseases. This is the only one I mentioned here. You know the algorithm, first pin hole camera, algebra were also invented by muslim scientists. Additionally the word x most of the time we use for unknown value is taken from arabic alphabet س.

Back days, porcelain from China is currency especially in our area where Peninsular with Malacca Straits become a busy route connected western world to eastern world like China, Japan and Korea. I am from Sarawak, my ancestors trade local products from jungle/forests like birds nest, rattan or even precious woods, and trade it with porcelain or ceramic stuffs which often from China. They also trade it with copper, herbs, coins, etc. Till today, my family kept almost 23 small and big porcelain pottery which we called TAJAU with some Dragon motifs on it.

How dare you mock viona by "yawning" and showing disinterest, even "snoring", when she was honestly trying to understand and appreciate the arts and their beauty! 😤
You must always remember, the knowledge to produce artistic forms, the knowledge to understand arts, they are knowledges, and all knowledges, arts or sciences, belong to none other than The Creator of all things, and humankind is gifted only a tiny bit of the knowledges and only little by little instead of in one go due to our very limited capacity.
There, as pointed out by that signage you encountered afterwards, beauty also belongs to The Almighty, God loves beauty, and God allows humans to understand beauty, to create beautiful things, and to appreciate that gift from Him, therefore when viona was trying to understand and appreciate those arts, your response should've been "syukur alhamdulillaah" and "subhanallaah" instead.
Okay, okay, I was just joking, only trolling you hahah 😬🤪🤪
Actually I only want to say I'm surprised that viona saw mondrian in that painting, I myself would never have thought that, because as far as I'm concerned mondrian had always been about squares and rectangles and geometrics, apart from the basic vivid colours

Also something I should add is that in English one billion = 十亿 or 十万万。so it is impossible to get 10 billion subscribers because that’s more humans than exists in the world

Just want to point it out for those who don't know. The high rise building that you can see during 8:53 is called Merdeka 118, the second tallest building in the world after Burj Khalifa. It's great to see that you manage to capture its majestic beauty from the place you're at.

Many works categorised as muslim art or art about islam are by non muslim orientalist...who record islamic history in paintings and art works.
